I'd honestly prefer Indians over Middle Easterners. Hindus and Sikhs aren't proselytizers and generally have a much more mellow religious vibe, unlike Muslims. Plus, Indian food is the shit, I dig curry and samosas. The thing you really have to be careful of, as is the situation with any instance of mass migration, is to be aware if newcomers are taking advantage of Western social assistance programs, like the Somalis have done with the welfare system. They need to understand that to be welcomed as new Americans, they have to work. Indians have proven to be industrious through hotels and convenience shops. I'd prefer them to Middle Easterners or certain cultures of Africans. That all being said, they should also come to understand that, having moved to a modern country, there's very little point in having massive families with ten kids. No need to endlessly spawn more people to help with chores like water fetching when you have indoor plumbing. It's an unfortunate trend a lot of migrants have trouble getting over, the endless breeding that makes locals anxious that they'll become a minority in their own country in just a few generations.

This is crazy. I am an Indian, and I fail to understand why so many Indians choose to live in other countries. For money? Don't they have any self respect or dignity? It us true that Germans, Irish, Italians etc did migrate to USA en masse, but they did it out of desperation, to avoid famines. What a disgrace. Multiculturalism is a failed experiment. We have a ton of drug crime, gangs now all run by Indians. Alot of street shooting and drive by- never had that before the mass migration started...as soon as we say anything we are targeted as racists. I was fired from a government contract for catching corruption. They litter a ton - never had litter across canada so bad. It is destroying our cities they live like it is a slum when the concentrate in specific neighborhoods. Right now we have about 2 million illegal students who came on a student visa - but stayed after the expiry. Many took over the smaller trucking businesses and fast food franchises - those 2 industries became SO CORRUPT! They don't get car insurance - I know several people who got hit in Alberta - NO COVERAGE and no accountability. 75% of Canadians want them gone!...every industry they get involved in in large numbers gets corrupted and becomes problematic, because it is just part of their culture/way of life.

I grew up in Edmonton in a very Indian part of town. It's not "Indian people " not at All!! Maybe mass migration is an issue, but it's not Indians. As a brown guy who is born and raised here, not every brown person is Indian. There are Guyanese, Trinidadians, Sri Lankans, Bengali, Nepali etc people that are in no way related, linguistically, culturally or religiously to people from Punjab that have been here decades and respect the land, the culture and learn English. The majority of the mass migration as of late has come from one state in India. Many are good people, but many try to make Canada the home they left. Too bad the rest of us south asians and west indians are painted with this broad brush.
