For all the Indians reading comments here We are hated because of these: - Abandoning shopping carts in walmart/supermarket parking lot, or dragging the carts to the place where you live and throwing it by the roadside - Zooming past two way/four way stop signal - Unnecessarily accelerating and revving cars while driving through a residential area. Trust me ITS NOT "COOL" - Playing Punjabi gangster rap music at full volume, or talking loudly on phone when using public transport - Talking loudly with friends in places where we are expected to talk softly: Hospitals, museums, art gallery government/visa office, Medical centers/clinic - Stretching yours legs over the opposite empty seat while travelling in bus or train. Crowding the Handicap ramp to access GO train because it makes it easier to board the train (WTF!). - Suddenly switching lanes and turning into streets without using the indicator. - Opening the car door in full swing and leaving a dent/scratch on the next car at parking lots. Not so much as a courtesy to leave a sorry note. - Stealthily walking the dog at night and not picking up after dog - Throwing the car's garbage towards the direction of the dustbin when driving past a bus stop in residential area. - No basic etiquette and manners of wishing, thanking or apologizing. Did you know you are supposed to greet/wish the bus driver when you board a bus? - Refusing to speak in English while in Indian populated city. - Brampton, even worse - trying to fake an accent when you suck at grammar - Partying loudly through the night with no regards to neighbors - Culture dumping - deliberately bursting crackers when the city has banned it, making agni kund in backyard without taking safety precautions, its a fire hazard for houses built of wood, loudly playing mantras/bhajans early morning when you are living in a Condo/apartment - Not caring to shovel snow off footpath - Not showering after you've cooked at home and smelling like curry in the office. Can’t even call the bank without not understanding what they’re saying or eat take out food that doesn’t taste like Indian spices or walk down the street and only hear Indian music…my daughters class last year was only Indian and Arabic kids and the principal was Indian how are they gonna teach Canadian culture and education I’d ask what she did in school she said learned Indian dances. I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. That’s why Carney and liberals pander to the gigantic Muslim population in Canada. Muslims, Chinese, Indians from India, Ukrainians, Filipinos they all pretty much vote liberal. There weee over 100 Muslim groups that told their Muslim community to only vote for candidates that support Gaza Muslims and Palestinians. How is that not election interference. Over half of the liberal voter base is foreign now. I started in 2019 telling the federal conservatives look the liberals are importing new liberal voters. The party needs a strategy to win over the immigrant vote. I proposed hiring a team of individuals from the Muslim community, Chinese community etc to brainstorm on how to get their message across that if your an immigrant your best to vote conservative because the liberals don’t care about them they just want their vote. Show them how they may never own a home, how their kids will be worse off than them. That buy bringing in about 2 million more immigrants a year it is causing inflation and the affordability crisis. I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative. As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! I am also an immigrant, I came here from Guyana (I am Indian) in 1986 when I was 13 years old, so I grew up here and me and my family adapted to the Canadian culture and love it. I've called this country my home for the last 40yrs and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We live by the rules and laws of this Country as all other immigrant SHOULD. I hated it just as much when new immigrants come and try to impose their culture and way of life on us then complain when they meet resistance. It's simple, if you are planning to go live in a foreign country and you don't like or think you can handle the culture, then you shouldn't move there.

the Indians i know in canada have been very hard working and honest people. there was one who had to go back home though they wouldn’t renew his worker permit. I know plenty more on these permits. It’s not just indians though there’s also Brazilians, Chileans, and Venezuelans. One thing I hate is my job prioritizing their work hours over mine because they “need the hours” to stay in this country. where as this is my own country and I’m getting cut hours during slow season. smh

Last summer I was being served by an Indian young lady who had tape holding her glasses together and it broke my heart because she is working , serving me & doing a job I wouldn’t want for myself and I appreciated her and others so very much. Anyway, I had two spare frames at home and brought them to her the very next day. I didn’t care what race she was and in god’s eyes, our creator, we are all equal and we should try to be more like the lord. You can’t claim like most of you to be god loving and turn around and have hate in your heart. You disgust me. Keep in mind that a lot of you are immigrants too! As a legal immigrant who migrated here with a nuclear family only on merit, I believe I earn the privilege to voice my thoughts here. First of all, rather than blaming the hoards of Indian immigrants, why don't anyone ask questions to the people who allowed it? Why not ask the politicians who vetoed it? Why not ask the police who is not able to stop reckless drivers? Why not ask the minister's who allow hospitals to run under staffed? USA has a massive Indian diaspora. But they are mostly IT workers and CEOs and Doctors. So who was at mistake of bringing illiterate, uncouth Indians to Canada? After earning all the required merit, and paying as much taxes from my family that is equivalent to minimum wages of at least 4 people, it hurts me to see undeserving people taking benefits of the system, while we get the short end. No one seemed too concerned when Indian students brought in so much money and revived some dead economies. No one blamed thousands of Punjabi businesses bringing in dollars into the economy. India, with its 150 billion people has s#!to eaters and people who can buy out Canada. You only see the bad. Press the government to bring in good people. Doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists, business people, who will add value to the country and generate you jobs and salaries and grow this country. Not cooks and drivers only. Khalistan and Pro-BJP factions are both bad outside India. They all should go back and let the peace loving Indians and Canadians live here in peace. I heard why the government did the immigrants wrong. I was talking to an uber driver and my pharmacist. They told me the promises of luxury in Canada has and offered for them to live a better lives. They didn't know after they came here for work and or college/university they become in major debt. They said that they're in a luxury debt and never getting out of debt knowing that they're stuck in Canada and can't be allowed to leave unless they pay off the debts. That's 100 % wrong to do that to people when they know they don't feel welcomed and want to go home. I'm a metis Canadian and I had to leave Ontario to find affordability and miss my home. GOVERNMENT THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND YOU KNOW IT! Let them go home in debt. You made this mess. FIX IT! Including the baby boomers that made the problem started 8 % rate interests to buy houses. That was a mistake that should be bought 1 house and nothing else. I forgot to add something. The uber driver told me that india doesn't know that it's a debt luxury trap that you can't leave unless you pay your debt. He felt alone and found some people and the internet to make himself feel better temporary. TEMPORARY! He hates it here, but he respects Canadians. He feels sorry for the new ones that are coming to become debt trap. It's the same for the pharmacy. She got into college to be a pharmacy and bought the store. She is on low income but doesn't qualify for any supports like benefits to pay off her medical things. The reason she can't because they'll see the pharmacy store is income. Wait what? So she doesn't quilify for benefits because she's making income to pay off her massive loan to do her job. It's not enough to live by as what she told me. She also does misses home, but also traped in luxury debt. This is what I have learned so far. I went through a car accident and coudln't get out of the car. I thought in Brampton, Ontario was the rudest people on the planet, but was saved by the angels of indian people saved me out of the vehicle from the smoke. I still thank you! There is still good people out there and some are stupid people out there. Keep it up because being kind gets you to be positive to others and make things better when the world is fcked right now.

I am fully prepared for my children to be living at home for a long time before they’re ready to go out on their own. It’s rough out there. They can help out with some groceries and around the house and then put their money aside and keep saving. I would hate for them to struggle and penny pinch. They’re still very young but who knows what things will look like in years from now, probably much worse.

I like you & your attitude about coming to Canada. I’m subscribing. I feel for the young girl looking for a job. There are tons of jobs on indeed in my city. I apply for both part & full time. I apply for at least 10-20 a day. I’m not getting calls for interviews. I’ve even applied twice to one job because I was not chosen but 2 weeks later the same position was back. I’m fortunate enough to not have to work. I have a husband that makes a very good salary that pays for all of the bills , groceries & vacations. Up until Covid collapsed my 2 franchises & I was sinking more money in than making it I had to sell one for 1/3 of what I paid for it & give the other away. I started a small business at home doing lash extensions. I have my regular clients. But if I want to save my own money it’s not sustainable or steady. I want to work because I enjoy leaving my home not to just go grocery shopping or visit family. That’s even if they are home from work. I like having a purpose. I’m skilled in accounting, cleaning, sales, marketing, customer service you name it. Many might say that I’m very lucky. I am very blessed but it’s also very lonely. Plus I have always worked & had independence. I hate asking my husband to send me money so I can pay my cell, credit card bills. I don’t even go shopping without him for new clothes because I rely on him to pay for those too. Hypothetically we broke up tomorrow I’d be screwed. I worry about if he dies. There’s life insurance but we still have a mortgage to pay & monthly bills. Plus of course I’d make sure his kids got some too. Not to mention I’ve had mental health struggles with social anxiety & agoraphobia years ago. The more I stay home the more I get anxious about going out. Days can get boring & then I find myself napping all afternoon. I need a job. I just want my own money. I don’t want to go to my husband every 3 months & ask him to send me 2000.00 to clear up my overdraft for one business day. I don’t even want to have to use it. Sorry for the rant but I feel that even when filing out applications many times I’m asked if I’m racialized. In other words is my skin brown.
