I am an African with a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, and I can bet you bike guy doesn't have a high school diploma, but he wants to talk about the intelligence level of all Africans? I've written two books and contributed a chapter to a compendium on journalism in West Africa. While I agree that many of the Africans going to Canada are from war-torn countries without a good education, he speaks of Africa like it's a monolith. Realities in Ghana aren't same as in Ethiopia. South Africa isn't same as Rwanda nor is Senegal same as Madagascar so unless he is referring to individual countries with specific examples, his claims don't even make any sense. I would like to see just one contribution from fatty to scholarship😂😂. The actions of few spoiled Indians affect the entire Decent Indian community and India. Canada is in need of labour force due to less population and India has more population but insuffient jobs to engage people. If this scenario is reversed Indians would be complaining like canadians do. So the problem is not one way, just becos reducing immigrants does not solve the issue. people have to see things past nationality or physical identity into the statistics. even though canada has professionals of their own there are people who work with dedication and who work without interest, or recent generation being attracted to digital life instead of understanding that college degrees in mainstream subjects are what earns them job and also they have to show dedication and hardwork along with smart work, comply by the work place rules and so on... this goes to all invariable of who they are. all these started changing and now people instead of trying to correct these small changes that lead to these large issues of cost of living and low wages, have now started to pit against live people and their race, nationality or culture. There are good and bad people eveyrwhere, people cant justify the actions of drug addicts roaming the streets and that has increased a lot now, people acting violently against others just becos they dont have what the other has, and so on. but instead of addressing the high amount of actions that are happening around our own country, it has become easy to put blame on each other. I am not justfying the actions of these bad indians who has done these stuff. but we have to see the other side of it before making this a International Issue. Yes, few Indians are bad but not the entire community. Canada has its own needs that needs a lot of hands and support. Not Canada per se, but baised on my coworkers even the Indians have Indian fatigue now. Especially with the older skilled Indians workers who have aasemulated into the country and came here the honest way. They're always complaining how it's now so easy to get into the country, with relaxed polices and poor vetting and how these newer influxes do not like to assemulate into their new country, and bring their bad practices over here. And annoyed why are importing non skilled workers when locals are struggling for jobs, describing why we do not need more Uber drivers and mc donalds workers. They're were telling me there's recently been a large influx buying their degrees for like $10k and getting here on skilled visas without thorough checks. because of relaxed policies as a result of our majority of young skilled citizens here leaving the country in record numbers since COVID.

The answer is economics, specifically capitalism and the welfare state. In order for capitalism to function the best for asset owners, the economy must continue to grow. Company revenues, stock prices, home prices, assets in general. Also, the welfare state needs to have more younger workers paying into the system to cover welfare services for the elderly retired population. Back in the 1950s, economists in Western countries realized their population demographics were inverting. Meaning, the elderly population was growing while the younger population growth rate was slowing down. This is the natural outcome of a wealthy educated society—the elderly live longer due to better healthcare and living conditions, and women tend to have fewer children as they spend more time in school and pursue a career, also families need fewer children compared to poor agrarian societies for various reasons. As such, these economists advised the politicians to increase immigration. This was the way to get more workers in your country to prevent a slow deflationary spiral by increasing consumption, and increase the tax base. Bonus if you bring in STEM workers as economies are becoming more dependent on tech. Anyway that's your answer.

Healthcare in Canada is only a promise, the reality is the wait-list, every step of the way. I took a 17-month wait for a mri and cut it down to 17 hours, cutting a multi-year process down to 6 days. To get a mri in Canada is not easy there are only a smattering of private options if you want to pay, but you still have to wait 3 weeks, and it will cost $3500. I said screw it, bought a plane ticket, flew to Bangkok arriving on a Saturday, saw a doctor on Sunday, had a mri on Monday, and got the results on Friday. Then I spent the next week sitting on a beach. The total cost all in was $1900. I am not fussy, I'll accept any hospital in any country that will accept me.

I know some older Indians who assimilated well and made Canada better, but these new immigrants are no good. They want everything for free. My roommate is from the Philippines, but she works hard, is very clean, polite, and easy to get along with. So I'm not against immigration, but I want the people coming over to pay their own way. My mom and stepdad did that in the 80s and did well.

It's true though. I couldn't get a job for over two years, I applied EVERYWHERE, they would say they're not hiring, then a week later I'll see a new worker or two being trained and guess what? they're indian/punjab (sorry, unsure all the proper terms of people or the differences). Not to mention that they treat indigenous women the way they would back home.... Pretty much every person I know (I'm indigenous and have experienced it myself) has experienced some sort of harassment or assault or whateva with them... And yes, I know it's not all of them, I also know some great people that are indian/punjab but I'm not going to act like there isn't a problem....... Then people think indigenous people get "hand outs"... I was broke for over two years, I tried welfare, it's not as easy as it seems to people lol Also, I'm sure I'm wrong, but I always assumed Immigration was like... reserved for people that need it kind of like refugees.

The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.
