The answer is economics, specifically capitalism and the welfare state. In order for capitalism to function the best for asset owners, the economy must continue to grow. Company revenues, stock prices, home prices, assets in general. Also, the welfare state needs to have more younger workers paying into the system to cover welfare services for the elderly retired population. Back in the 1950s, economists in Western countries realized their population demographics were inverting. Meaning, the elderly population was growing while the younger population growth rate was slowing down. This is the natural outcome of a wealthy educated society—the elderly live longer due to better healthcare and living conditions, and women tend to have fewer children as they spend more time in school and pursue a career, also families need fewer children compared to poor agrarian societies for various reasons. As such, these economists advised the politicians to increase immigration. This was the way to get more workers in your country to prevent a slow deflationary spiral by increasing consumption, and increase the tax base. Bonus if you bring in STEM workers as economies are becoming more dependent on tech. Anyway that's your answer.

The issue with Canada is that, when Europeans came here, they didn't integrate with native Indians, didn't accept their traditions/lanuages but brought their own European culture/traditions and languages and named it as a Canadian Culture. The reason why Europenas were able to take over the whole Canada and impose English and French language is that European culture was strong, then brown/black/asian people are moved to Canada and they are brought their own culture/languages, but the brown culture really stood up and sustained because their culture was strong like europeans and more of them are still coming. the history is repeating itself because of politicians in power. People on the both sides are not willing to listen the other side, for example, citizens think that international students are creating the a here, doing cash jobs but they don't see that this coutntry that charged them $9k/term tution fees can't even provide them a job forcing them to work illigally and commit crimes, and on the other side Internation students think that citizens hate us because they are brown but big NO citizens are frustrated because they have no jobs and immigrants are not integrating themselves among other communities. Higher unemployment = higher crime = more = higher division among people, ALL THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING.

Michelle Rempel-Garner is a taxpayer funded politician that doesn't even live in her riding nor does she live in Canada, read about her in different forums and subreddits you will know how good of a politician she is. I am an Indian immigrant living on GTA. If I was forced to live in Brampton, I would rather go back to India than live in Brampton. The problem with Brampton is a subset of Indians that are easily recognizable and do not assimilate. Most of these specific subset come here as students and through family sponsorship ( not regular immigration stream). The students get false documents for their language and educational credentials. The politicians are also to blame for pondering for their votes. If there is one ethnic group that has the capacity to destroy Canada further in the future to a point of no return, it is this subset. Unfortunately most Canadians do not know this, and Indians as a general group are seen as the problem. Next time just ask them where in India these people are from, and soon you will know for yourself.
