they took all the jobs here in canada bro especially ontario toronto (GTA) area im almost 18 and i still cant find a flipping job because they get payed like 4$/hour on some job like cashier thats y if u go tim hortons there all there fam

The birth rate is low b/c the rich have too much money and the workers have too little. Tax the rich, tax them HARD and incr workers watges and you will see people have the number of babies that they want. In fact, reward them for having babies, make it cost free like it was in the USSR..... If Canada (or the US) offered free housing, free childcare, and guaranteed jobs (the USSR model), the "labor shortage" and "birth rate crisis" would vanish in 9 months.

Will the right people actually step up and do the job? Because right now, all we see are endless debates with zero real solutions. When will Canadians finally realize that these so-called leaders or people in these positions can’t (or won’t) do their jobs properly? They need more pressure, more accountability and if they still can’t deliver, then they should be replaced by Canadians who will get the job done.

Plus look at who is filling the majority of the Canadian government jobs and what community they belong to. 😮 no no that wouldn’t be possible!! would it!! We all know that the expectations are those of just having a warm body to work in the Government and not ask any questions, all else is secondary.

With the price of homes it was expected a long time ago that crime would explode. Even people with jobs are having a hard time to get a home. And the really good jobs like pilot, surgeon, long shoreman. Are really hard to get. Its no wonder crime is up. If the government doesnt address the price of homes or help make it easier to become a Surgeon so that we can be able to own a home. Crime will continue to tick upwards pretty sure. 70s home in Vancouver 4 bedroom is 1.9 million unrenovated old carpet old fixtures etc on a tight lot can easily see into neighbors house since its so close.

Many companies now use AI to prescreen resumes, so if your resume isn’t ATS-friendly, it often never gets seen by a human. Even if you make it past that stage, there are endless AI-driven assessments before you even have a chance to speak with someone. And when you finally do, it’s often yet another layer of screening rather than a real interview. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. The stress is overwhelming — I cry daily, and on top of everything, I also face health issues of my own, but I have no space to focus on them because survival takes priority. Canada today feels very different from the country I grew up in. Since the pandemic, things have become harder in every way — jobs, housing, and simply living. When you get your residency, suddenly you start quitting your job and rely on government's social welfare . As a tax payer obviously I would like those benefits to go to Canadians first.

Guess what, people born in Canada are ALSO people and with the job shortages they need the jobs more than people who are able to spend thousands to fly half way around the world. The only "tragedy" will be the people who really NEED the jobs will once again have access to them..

I am a skilled immigrant, an auditor by profession for 16 years. I climbed up the ladder from a junior auditor to department head before I left for Canada late last year. I've submitted hundreds of job applications to date and I only got a response. I have no choice but to take that job in fastfood restaurant just to make a living. Don't worry, if I still don't get a job aligned to my profession in few months, I will leave. I'm tired..

At least they seem like they can hold jobs and speak the native language so can assimilate(as much as their overwhelming numbers allow) well enough. The poor driving performance is an extreme safety issue that needs addressed ASAP, immediately, yesterday.
