I don’t have an issue with immigrants living in Canada. All I ask is that people who move here actually care about Canada and treat it like home. Language takes generations to develop, so that part doesn’t bother me at all.

This is a multifaceted problem for us. Firstly we keep emigrating people in, to deal with a declining population, instead of addressing the issues directly resulting in declining population, like the housing problem, cost of living, under paying jobs, and astronomical Post secondary prices to get basic diplomas I know for a fact that 90's babies will be the last generation to have more then one child. Another issue is the recruitment centers in India, funded by Canadian corporations looking for cheap labor, promising the world to struggling Indians only to back out of every promise they made, and put the burden on the government and Canadians. This plus a lack of population control in India, is set that to have Indians to be over 25% of the global population in the next 50 years.

Hi, as I mentioned before I prepare myself for citizenship test and I don't have my country password, when I was coming to Canada my country situation was very bad, so Canadian people who were in my country decided to bring me without passport, that's why I don't have my country passport with me. Would it be possible to do the test without preparing some documents like passport?

i always wonder, how millions of people from the opposite of the world get into Canada, they all pass trough an aiport, is not like people from Mx, Central and Sout America entering into the USA border, these people get into an airport, but how?

I received a promotion at my office and instead of thanking my boss for it, I thanked my colleague. This is not true gratitude. I came here 25 years ago from India. While growing up, I would go to the terrace of my home and turn the antenna to get Cbc at night. I watched Air Farce One, the green show, NFB and Cbc and was always fascinated with Canada. I knew then when I was 20 that I will make Canada home. I wrote my IELTS ENGLISH test, studied here with good grades. And I did. I have an amazing career and young kids. And I have loved everyday of it. I have watched rerun of trailer park boys about 10 or so times already, watched Corner gas, watch hockey, I have embraced the weather, the people and the values this nation stands for. I have travelled coast to coast and to the great north. Heck I have been to more places in Canada with my job than other Canadians who are born and raised here. Now all I see there these ignorant, entitled effs thinking they can come and change the way of life. Like how Don Cherry said, they want the milk and honey but won't respect the values. I am effing done with this immigration and the government. Steven Harper was the prime minister when I got my citizenship and it was the proudest moment of my life. I really hope Canadians wake up. I know exactly why the racism has gone up and I don't blame the Canadians at all. These clowns bought it on to themselves. I just had enough and wish things would back to how it was 20 or so years ago.

The birth rate is low b/c the rich have too much money and the workers have too little. Tax the rich, tax them HARD and incr workers watges and you will see people have the number of babies that they want. In fact, reward them for having babies, make it cost free like it was in the USSR..... If Canada (or the US) offered free housing, free childcare, and guaranteed jobs (the USSR model), the "labor shortage" and "birth rate crisis" would vanish in 9 months.

With the price of homes it was expected a long time ago that crime would explode. Even people with jobs are having a hard time to get a home. And the really good jobs like pilot, surgeon, long shoreman. Are really hard to get. Its no wonder crime is up. If the government doesnt address the price of homes or help make it easier to become a Surgeon so that we can be able to own a home. Crime will continue to tick upwards pretty sure. 70s home in Vancouver 4 bedroom is 1.9 million unrenovated old carpet old fixtures etc on a tight lot can easily see into neighbors house since its so close.

An Uber driver was upset while telling me that he has family who have lived in the country for over 10 years but still refuse to learn English. They seem to want the benefits of living here, but not to embrace the culture that makes this country great. It feels like we’re losing a battle most people didn’t even realize was happening. A government is meant to serve its people, yet it often feels like ours is working against us.

The overwhelming problem that people struggle to realize is Canada with its roughly 40,000,000 people are going to notice an influx from a country that has over 1 billion and is quickly modernizing which is allowing families to leave their country and immigrant around the world just like they should. Localization is only prompted by friendly circumstances. It is seen everywhere with cultural neighborhoods

So, if people didn't like how the liberals handled immigration under Trudeau, why did they vote liberals again back in with Carney?

Not true. Most Canadians want smaller numbers and tighter requirements. The students and TEMPORARY workers think they automatically will get permanent residency, when in fact there are no guarantees..Why these people act like Canada did something wrong? Having that many people come is a strain on all our resources and job market. We have a right to decide who we need and want. Store manager is not a job that Canadians won't do.

It is not as simple as more or less people. The first woman in the story was an educated working professional. Canada wants and needs people like that. Canada just needs to do a better job of screening people coming in. Canada still needs good capable people coming in.

So sad 😢 I remember going there like 25 years or so ago. It was such a great place. So clean & the people were so cool.
