I’m a Canadian Jamaican and I don’t recognize the country. The people coming in lately are hostile to the place they seek support from. It’s ridiculous and bazaar. I’m seeing so many places for rent stipulating that they outright prefer or are seeking Indian. I’ve been working since 78 and now a senior but when I try to get help for housing I’m offered a night only shelter with mental and drug abusers to go try sleep in or the sidewalk or countless apologies. Don’t get injured, get any older or anything like that and unable to work in this country now as you’re much better off passing away.

You don’t take over a beautiful Canadian city and make it your own from where you came from - you respect what it was before you came.

What the hell did you all think would happen when you bring a bunch of people to the country but tell them they can hold on to their own beliefs and cultures? That said, there have been far too many immigrants in the last decade, regardless of origin. I've lived in my small town in BC for 37 years and somehow I cannot get a family doctor (I visit all of the local clinics annually and am on the provincial waiting list) while a lot of newer residents seem to have a doctor within months of moving here. I am glad I bought my house when I did, I would not be able to afford one today. I am not against legal immigration, just slow it down so the infrastructure can support it and properly vet those who apply. The system for deportment currently employed in the US is far too hastened and imperfect for my liking but the lack-of-a-system (or heck, acknowledgement) that this is even an issue by the current and previous Canadian governments is equally as concerning (arguably more, other folks can debate the politics of it).

There was a time when there was a lot of Chinese immigration, and while you would have wanted way less, at least they know how to follow the rules and show signs of gratitude for being allowed in. I wouldn't like immigration to my country too and seing my way of life change...but we should give credit to the Sikhs who feed people free of charge...i experienced their generosity way back in 2005 in London when my friend took me along to a gurdwara,my first time . They don't ask any questions, they just feed and you will see people volunteering their services at preparing the food and someone else serving you...at least, they give back to society unlike some of the filthy rich who just want to hoard more and give nothing back . While I agree that many of the Africans going to Canada are from war-torn countries without a good education, he speaks of Africa like it's a monolith. Realities in Ghana aren't same as in Ethiopia. South Africa isn't same as Rwanda nor is Senegal same as Madagascar so unless he is referring to individual countries with specific examples, his claims don't even make any sense.
