We can thank the Liberal party and J.T for letting in way too many immigrants since 2017. He solidified many votes for te liberals by doing so. It wasnt to help Canada grow. It was to help the Liberal Party grow.

Canada (Trudeau) Let too many in at the same time... We cant take more for now... we need to prepare schools, more hospitals, ect. Its now time for other provinces to take more .... like quebec, Ontario and BC are overloaded....

Changes to immigration are welcome. In Quebec things are far more complicated as integration and language come into play. Most immigrants struggle to build a life in Canada due to expensive housing (renting or ownership). Canada was also accepting too many professional immigrants (engineering, business, consulting, IT, accounting) when we desperately need trades, construction workers and mechanics. The reduction in immigration and foreign students to sustainable levels is long overdue.

I like you & your attitude about coming to Canada. I’m subscribing. I feel for the young girl looking for a job. There are tons of jobs on indeed in my city. I apply for both part & full time. I apply for at least 10-20 a day. I’m not getting calls for interviews. I’ve even applied twice to one job because I was not chosen but 2 weeks later the same position was back. I’m fortunate enough to not have to work. I have a husband that makes a very good salary that pays for all of the bills , groceries & vacations. Up until Covid collapsed my 2 franchises & I was sinking more money in than making it I had to sell one for 1/3 of what I paid for it & give the other away. I started a small business at home doing lash extensions. I have my regular clients. But if I want to save my own money it’s not sustainable or steady. I want to work because I enjoy leaving my home not to just go grocery shopping or visit family. That’s even if they are home from work. I like having a purpose. I’m skilled in accounting, cleaning, sales, marketing, customer service you name it. Many might say that I’m very lucky. I am very blessed but it’s also very lonely. Plus I have always worked & had independence. I hate asking my husband to send me money so I can pay my cell, credit card bills. I don’t even go shopping without him for new clothes because I rely on him to pay for those too. Hypothetically we broke up tomorrow I’d be screwed. I worry about if he dies. There’s life insurance but we still have a mortgage to pay & monthly bills. Plus of course I’d make sure his kids got some too. Not to mention I’ve had mental health struggles with social anxiety & agoraphobia years ago. The more I stay home the more I get anxious about going out. Days can get boring & then I find myself napping all afternoon. I need a job. I just want my own money. I don’t want to go to my husband every 3 months & ask him to send me 2000.00 to clear up my overdraft for one business day. I don’t even want to have to use it. Sorry for the rant but I feel that even when filing out applications many times I’m asked if I’m racialized. In other words is my skin brown.

Not true. Most Canadians want smaller numbers and tighter requirements. The students and TEMPORARY workers think they automatically will get permanent residency, when in fact there are no guarantees..Why these people act like Canada did something wrong? Having that many people come is a strain on all our resources and job market. We have a right to decide who we need and want. Store manager is not a job that Canadians won't do.

Quebec actually has had its own immigration policy and section at Canadian embassies throughout the world. Those who wanted to immigrate to Canada found it easier and faster to immigrate through Quebec than through Canada in general. This was due to the French language requirements in order to increase the number of French speakers. However, many would abuse the system by immigrating to Quebec, then move to more anglophone provinces and cities like Toronto or Vancouver...

No only Canada, many countries in the world are going to hard times with everything so expensive.

I know that by December 2025 there are 5 million people whose visas expired. How many left?! What about others? Why Canada gave so many visas?

These immigrants were scheduled to leave anyway. They were well aware of it. So, it is not based on new immigration rules. The government tried to force too many people into the country, causing a spike in housing prices and many other problems. This then affected every Canadian. A lot are becoming even poorer. It is one of the reasons they had more tent cities and 2 million people going to food banks along with 2/3 of Canadians with only 500.00 a month after all monthly bills were paid. That's 2/3 of Canadians. The Convoy had released these figures over a year ago at CPAC. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the convoy or did you forget? The Liberals violated Canadians' Constitutional Rights to Protest. Which proves they are more credible than the Liberals. Canada used and earned money from international students and put so many rules them to leave. Canada doesn't want educated ppl they want refugees to run their country. Those who doesn't even have any language Proficiency. This country is run by headless ppl. They have to enrol int. Students from other countries not only India. Iran , Sudan they give easy work permit and PR. But those who did Masters studies no points.

Good, there are too many from India and China here. Recently, I have seen some Chinese leaving from my own neighbour. This is a good thing, they come over here, don't speak English, don't work and use our resources that we have paid for all of our working lives. Our local college which used to pay for English lessons for Newcomers to Canada has now cancelled the program.

I am supportive of immigration, but I believe there should be a cap of no more than 1-2.5% annually. A significant number of migrants moving to Canada from the same region or country could cause issues, as this can lead to the formation of "mini-bubble" societies within Canada. These groups may sometimes become the dominant demographic and undermine the existing communities that have contributed to building Canada for decades. We cannot expect new immigrants to seamlessly merge into Canadian society. This is a major oversight by Canada’s Immigration Department. Digital applications from foreign nations may play a role in this phenomenon. There should also be regulations concerning how many new immigrants can be brought in by family members. For instance, one new citizen can legally bring both of their parents and their spouse, which is fair. However, there have been cases where this process is repeated multiple times within ten years, leading to a 1:15 ratio, where one person can bring in six to eight relatives. If there is a labor shortage in essential fields, Canada can offer long-term residency to those who continue to work in those sectors, such as caretakers. However, the pathway to citizenship could be lengthened or require a higher standard. For instance, the requirements could extend from X years of living in Canada to X+5 years, as well as passing a basic Canadian citizenship test, either written or verbal. While an increase of five years may seem unfair or lengthy, it is essential. Nonetheless, I also support temporary residency for up to 6-9 months for those who have been evacuated due to war, natural disasters, or similar circumstances. Special exceptions can be granted for families with members working in critical fields that merit such considerations (high-end industry).
