If you have single parent family and social issues.. kids aren't gonna make it in this highly competitive world. Please go to Google, facebook, Microsoft. .. you'll see immigrants left right and centre. Lets face the facts, immigrant mentality is what builds a proper county. First generation immigrants are lost and weird and seems odd, second generation is the cream of the crop . Third slows down then 4th is basically are the ones complaining about the first generation. Solution is to use these people and figure out how they will help this county in the next 30 years, not tomorrow. Look at how Irish, Ukrainian, Chinese, Italian etc.. came as first gen immigrants (to this native land). Cold.. lost.. try to use their wits to survive in a colonial economy. That second generation built what we have now. Immigration is a god damn economical strategy man... Issue with homelessness, has nothing to do with immigration. Homelessness is related to addiction and mental health. Most immigrants don't suffer from homelessness because they have relatives that look after each other. 3rd generation+ Canadians (all races) lack that.. if you're 18 you are own your own, thats where that issue is with homelessness.

For _years_, thoughtful and well-meaning people have been showing the evidence that massive over-immigration was detrimental to Canada. They were rewarded by being called r-ists and xenophobes. Turns out that, actually, they were right. Canada needs, right now, a 100% moratorium on all immigration for at least three years to allow infrastructure and health care to catch up. After that, a very slow and gradual increase to maximim 1% current population levels, with a strict focus on STEM and health care grads. Not their parents and grandparents and great aunts. And if any of them breaks the Canadian criminal code, they are deported within 24 hours.

Driving in Brampton reminds me of when I used to spend time in the DR 30 years ago. We slowed down & even stopped at green lights to avoid T boning our friends running reds. Back then the police were happy to ignore you may be intoxicated for $10 US and a sip from your rum. What a world.

Cultural relativism is wrong. There are some cultures/practices that would better die out, either by force, or by slow decline. Promoting and protecting them in the end harms everyone.

The funny part is that any of you think somethings going to change. We’re on a not so slow descent into the destruction of the country and nothings going to change that, the powers that be want the west to fall too much

I think it is important to realize that immigration comes in waves. right now we are seeing a huge wave of indian immigrants but eventually it will slow down and many will return home and a new wave will come. I think we often forget we are a country of immigrants. All of us have origins elsewhere, at one point the wave of immigration we came from caused "disruptions". Irish, Italian, Ukrainian ect. endlessly we were have waves of immigration. the best thing to do is learn about each others culture and realize we are all born under the same sun.

Immigration isnt bad...its good. But open borders and a very flast influx of foreigners isnt. It doesn't make them assimilate nor does it help canadians assimilate to them. They just avoid eachother until they can't. Immigration is supposed to be a process/privilege, not to be taken for granted. Do it slow and nobody will even notice.

Looks like there is a lot of economic activity in the town, what’s the problem? With all the negatives it looks like it’s a net positive? Otherwise it would be a ghost town in no time. I’d suggest the immigrants who are setting up businesses to extend their employment to other racial groups. The government should screen better and slow or shut immigration down for some time.

It is also important to acknowledge an uncomfortable reality: while many Indians in Brampton are hardworking, skilled, and law-abiding, there are individuals living there who are reportedly facing criminal charges or are wanted in India, yet continue to remain abroad due to legal loopholes, slow extradition processes, or a lack of coordination between governments. Ignoring this issue only undermines trust and accountability. Ultimately, the responsibility lies with the Canadian government. Citizenship is granted by Canada, not India. If Brampton is changing rapidly in its cultural and demographic makeup, it is because policymakers chose growth without proper planning, enforcement, or integration. History shows that when governments ignore demographic balance and social cohesion, long-term consequences follow—regardless of which group is involved.

There is nothing as expected we dont see it .... i beleive that medias trying to brainwash general public that something going on call deportation now time to calm down ..but in reality its something really really slow process ..need more authority ,power and independent reporting to border authorities and new appointments from.canadian rooted candidates

Canada is slow but finally on the right track...... Immigration have to be regulated/controlled to reap its benefits and keep the risk manageable.......... It should not behave like a "flood gate"

Liberals are importing votes! They said they would slow down, but let 450 thousand immigrants last year. I am all for allowing immigration... at a rate that are infrastructure,schools and housing can handle .

Governments need to start thinking what to do when AI replaces most workers. Hundreds of thousands of people will be unemployed and this will happen sooner than we can imagine. Québec may need immigrants in the very short term, but it will need to deal with mass unemployment in 3 years from now, being very optimistic. Immigration in the AI era needs to be rethought. Being an immigrant myself, I advocate for skilled immigration, but we are on the brink of a social disruption. It's time to take it slow.

I’m a traffic control person and I get brampton sites pretty often. 3 out 5 of them dont slow down on construction sites (usually truck driver)

Refugees make 7k with 4 kids . Great , LIMA Sold in market .Work permit need to cut in numbers . and International students needs to slow down .
