Immigration has increased because the government needs more people for the economy. The population 25+ years ago was enough to keep with the costs and demand. Now, Canada probably has a lot of demand and needs an influx of people both for education and jobs. Indians are enticed to come because they hear about towns that cater towards Indians like Brampton. Chinese people used to be the majority of immigrants and that was because Chinatowns would cater to them. Not to mention, these immigrants likely have temporary worker or student visas. These an whole thing with the student visas but I don't want to get into it. So Amazon and other large companies need a lot of workers for their demand and look outside of Canada to fill the job numbers. Meanwhile, Canadians that have been here for awhile are on the streets and jobless. So basically, Canada needs immigration for its demand but I think when too many people come all at once and from usually one country, Canadians will notice the change and feel the tensions that come with it.

When we entered this country legally, Canada took our fingerprints with full biometric data. So, what's the point? WES to verify our study certificates, but who is actually working? As an immigrant like myself, I came to study in Canada. I came to learn Canadian culture which has always been polite, humble, and friendly. Nowadays I am seeing things have changed compare with 22 years ago when I came here. I learned true Canadian cultures from my host family and my Canadian friends. Honestly, there are some immigrants who are coming to Canada who are not trying to learn and even tried to integrate into the culture. You don't come to someone's home and destroy it. You want to make yourself welcomed in Canada. Canada is an amazing country please don't destroy it. I worked hard to stay in Canada and I love this country. I also pay my taxes for some people to get their free stuffs when they entered into Canada, what is going on? Love Canada and let's us united again. ❤❤❤❤❤

Immigration is only good if it benifits canada. Immigrate business families, doctors, professional engineers, etc who actually contribute to our economy rather than depending on free benifits. Benifits are onky for canadians who actually need it and not for temporary foreigners.

Canada's immigration system has lowered the bar big time. What happened to their mandate after '67 that was supposed to be focused on permitting entry to only skilled immigrants? Now, they're letting any immigrant with a pulse come in. As a result, rents and housing prices have skyrocketed, and now the average Canadian can no longer afford to buy a home. Of course, it doesn't help that the government got out of the homebuilding business decades ago; big mistake. Our government has done this country a huge disservice.
