This loophole has remained open for long enough, at the behest of lobbyists and politicians to use for talking-points at election time, but everyone is glad someone is finally doing something about it. Our job markets and real-estate prices needed this to recover to sane-levels. It takes a non-politician in power for things to get done for practical reasons, not to score political points.

I'm sorry but if you have not been proactive about renewal, have not tried to get PR before and no longer qualify for renewal of your visa, you should return to your home country.

Is this over there are 3 options … 1st get a visa extension … 2nd get your PR ( if you fulfill the criteria ) 3rd leave the country. And one thing more Canada own you nothing! STOP ISSUING VISITOR VISA AND STUDENT FOR INDIAN BANGLADESH AND PAKISTAN. STUDENT VISA ASK THEM TO TRANSFER ALL THE TUTION FEES INCLUDING LUVING EXOENSE IN ADVANCE IN CANADA AND LOCK THE FUND. ALSO STUDENT SHOULD ONLY ONLY WORK IN CAMPUS. PERIOD. TRUST ME YOU WILL SEE 99 PERCENT OF THESE PROBLEM WILL GO AWAY. CANADIANS WILL GET JOB. THINGS WILL BE NORMAL.

A place called Nations has been hiring people (mostly asian) with visitor visa. They need to be investigated. Trust me

As a Canadian, thank you for making this. I hope it’s clear to everyone how, while good people, the majority of interviewees in this video are taking advantage of our country because we’re “nice” and they aren’t able to sort things out in their own. The majority of these people aren’t highly educated and came in on student visas and you’ve got to wonder why our government allowed this. It’s made a lot of things worse for people who lived here already, including immigrants. No racism just frustration.

what are laws and rules if they aren't enforces? visas might be expired but if they aren't leaving, they're still here, working illegally, doing extortion threats, drug deals, whatsoever

No one is allowing coming here without visa, driving without license and not paying taxes except criminals. I came to canada recently through immigration and took ielts, scored 7.5 bands. Had 5 years of working experience and post graduation education, now am a citizen here. All in 4 years. Am among the new generation. Just think twice before speaking.

Finally someone is looking into this. FFS they literally founded non existent colleges to exploit the bridge loopholes from a faux student visa to a faux job which gets them to a PR status because the immigration offices are not doing their jobs. We've been flodded with fake students for years now. And for the record I am not against student visas and legal and appropriate immigration. Far from it. I appreciate every person, whether from India or somewhere esle, that is in Canada legally and with intention to integrate and contribute.

I live in Toronto and it is full of Indian students. They are everywhere, every business, gas stations, grocery stores, dollar stores, all basic jobs you find indians. They can get visas for their spouses, their parents so easily. How is it so easy for them to get into Canada. Some can hardly speak English. Its hard to even get a basic job.

MORATORIUM for immigration is needed for at least 10 years 2026-2036, all those on expired visas need to leave or sent home by force. We cannot accept and integrate more immigrants, especially from CERTAIN countries.

Remigration! Require people with expired visas to return to the country of origin,.go to the back of the line, and apply again.

Canadian govt gave them visas and citizenships. That is LEGAL NOT ILLIGAL. Learn law and if you need answers go to your govt and ask them questions rather than blaming immigrants.
