The US is isolating itself from the world. It is indeed the strongest and the richest country. But the decisions, the current admin has made will damage the United States. Specifically the people of the estates with or without knowing, they will pay for the cost caused by the wrong decision made by MAGA. This is really sad to see how they divide themselves and the world. Only a few of idiots has gotten so much power to harm normal people who are only interested in living a peace and happy life with loved ones or their own family but now their suffer just started.

Unlike other countries, Canada is honest about the saturation that is happening over the time. They are objective about it. If citizens feel insecure about their future, it is time for them to halt immigration for some time. AI Coming, people are loosing jobs. Rents are increasing etc.

There is NO divide. Canadians overwhelmingly want less immigration. Only the business elite wants massive levels of immigration because they want cheap foreign labour.

Lets hope the grandfather clause goes through. I'm all for restricting immigration, but lets not kick everyone out and ruin their lives.

People want reduced numbers but dealing with existing temporary workers needs a just solution . Canada lacks the space. Two thirds of the population live within 62 miles of the US border! You go little north and life will be miserable and unbearable. —- PM Carney is a rational man. The numbers need to be managed. New entrants specially reduced, but I don’t know about those in the country already. It’s like they got hoodwinked.

Canada should fix the border problem which has caused the fentanyl problem in USA.

Blaming the USA for what, exactly? It’s unfortunate that Canadian consumers are affected by trade restrictions, such as when Canada bans U.S. wines and liquors. Why ban it in the first place? Interestingly, even within Canada, Eastern provinces don’t have access to wines from British Columbia, what a shame. Shouldn’t we be working towards more open trade within our own country as well?

Very straightforward condemnation against the Trump administration on these tariffs. Trump is looking for trouble at the expense of the citizens without thinking about the welfare of the people. Trump wants to bankrupt Canada because it has ample resources and Trump wants Canada to be the 51st state. It is quite impossible to bankrupt Canada because it can always expand its international trade to other countries, like Europe, etc. Do not tolerate the bully. Yeah, the majority here in Ontario are happy that the government is getting it under control, and unfortunately, the method is not fair. The missing parts of the report are: 1) the government has increased the number of permanent residency spots to convert temporary residents, but the increase is not proportionate. 2) The reason why we had an increase in temporary residents was because corporations (like Tim Horton's) lobbied the government to let in more temporary workers whom they can underpay and exploit, as the employees don't have as many rights. So now it is not surprising that they are lobbying against the changes.

Who cares what Trudeau says he is a looser and has resigned so doesn't have a mandate to make such a speech.
