As an American who lives on the Michigan/Canadian border, this WILL have a serious negative effect on small business. Including my carpentry shop that relies on multiple shipments from Canada per week.

The US has already tried the Tariff experiment.....\nTariffs in 30's by the US contributed to the great depression \nSmoot–Hawley Tariff Act. The Tariff Act of 1930 (codified at 19 U.S.C. ch. 4), commonly known as the Smoot–Hawley Tariff or Hawley–Smoot Tariff, was a law that implemented protectionist trade policies in the United States\nAnd obviously that didn't work, quite the opposite!\nDeliberate Economic Sabotage?\nSo much for Trump saying historically the American economy did the best under tariff policies\nTo make smart decisions you should also pay regard to history
Provides historical economic analysis of tariff policies and their negative consequences, critiquing Trump's economic approach with evidence.

I just read a story that over 851,000 immigrants have left Canada on their own because of the high cost of housing and living conditions here , and won't this solve the problem when it comes to immigration in the country . Should have asked Kenny who is going to pay his golf plated pension when the population starts going down and there is less taxpayers paying into the system when we start having a major population decline .
Discusses economic impacts of immigration (housing costs, population decline, tax base) and questions fiscal sustainability.

Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Adobe, and IBM are all led by Indian-born CEOs. If white North Americans have such a problem with Indian immigrants, why are they still using Google and YouTube every single day?

These capitalists just don't wanna pay fair wages to Canadians. It's just a money making scheme for these companies. Also, you're telling me that truck tire company had to go across the Atlantic, to another continent to find workers? LMAO!

That’s the harsh reality. During Trudeau’s time, Canada saw a significant influx of newcomers, which put pressure on housing, the labour market, and healthcare. It’s normal for a country to tighten immigration for a few years; lower quotas naturally mean higher requirements. Coming on a study permit or a work permit doesn’t guarantee permanent residency. Once a temporary status expires, and if there’s no other legal pathway to stay, the person must leave Canada.
Discusses immigration's impact on housing, labour market, and healthcare; frames policy tightening as rational response to resource pressure.

These companies just want cheap azz labor. I'm a Canadian citizen and went to school here for a trade and trust me it tough finding a job. In my opinion we don't need anymore immigrants for the next 4 years.
Personal experience combined with economic argument that companies exploit cheap labor and that job scarcity justifies reduced immigration.

The only people that do not want to tighten immigration are the big corporations that want more labourers to further drive down wages.
