2 years, 2 months ago @jeremyb456 As an Canadian I am finished with this country if that trust funded drama teacher called Justin Trudeau wins the next election somehow! My standard of living has gone down under his leadership and I will not be his working class slave 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @Natelmun This video disingenuous af. Housing is a provincial responsibility and this guy is blaming the primary cause of the affordability crisis on the feds. 3 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @farinshore8900 Might be worth mentioning that homelessness has risen by over 40% in the last year. 13 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @4mulatorza858 Well, Justin is a huge problem, but I see him as a symptom of a much bigger issue.\nCanada has institutional, systemic and cultural problems that all compounded over the last 30 years to get us where we are today, JT just put it in overdrive.\n\nWe have very little competition in a lot of business areas many supported by government. \nWe have a government that doesn't care about the economy and intentionally makes our economy less productive. \nWe have always had a weak immigration system that gives the current government too much power to control without provincial support. \nFinally we have cultural inferiority complex, stoping us from imitating Americans, the path to mastery starts with imitation.\n\nI can go on, but fixing just half of these issues will be enough to be better than EU. 8 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 2 months ago @Onceuponatimejotaele Canada is probably the most overrated country in the world. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @ScottDavies-m2b Canada...like many of failing western democracies is inflicted with the new ideology of over regulation coupled with decisions based upon feel good sentiment rather than facts and fiscal reponsibility. This has filterred through to education...health and financial decisions of individuals. In this new paradigm of wokism (which is nothing more than perceived nessesary solutions searching for none existant problems) and you have a slowly unfolding catastrophe. Have a nice day. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @fedorbutochnikow5312 everybody wants to live in canada, but it's hard to get in especially now that there is a cap 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @nerther7625 Allow me to give you a simple answer. We got betrayed by our politicians. The Liberal voters obviously saw something that we Conservatives did not. Hope your happy with your choice Liberals. 2 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @stevekontis8992 These geniuses voted for someone who has no interest in monetary policy, believes that budgets balance themselves and admires China's dictatorship. What did these geniuses actually expect from such a leader? Fiscal and economic policy is overtax overborrow and overspend. All spending is aimed at the perpetual pursuit of virtue signaling, photo ops and vote whoring. This incompetent and irresponsible overspending will turn Canada into a pathetic country of impoverished beggars at the mercy of government handouts. The trust fund fuhrer is a Soviet Socialist who, instead of fixing what doesn't work, keeps throwing resources at it until it does, if it does. Soviet Socialism, the collectivisation of misery. The result is Canadians, like Soviets, get to wait in line at food banks for a meal. Unlike Soviets who lived in crappy apartments, Canadians get the luxury of living in tents or cars. When clowns vote for clowns you inevitably get a circus. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @nivikoseven There's definitely a money threshold in Canada you NEED to make to .... have fun and live well. If you're a lifetime renter, or entry level worker.... it doesn't make sense. My family is established from previous happy decades. But even for us there is stagnation and living on savings (many family members moved back to EU, and I'm thinking of it as I'm fluent in many languages there). Imagine people starting new RIGHT NOW.... makes me sad that most Canadians will never had a backyard. Godspeed everyone. 37 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @user__100 Canada uses Newcomers to pay pensions of old Europeans through tax 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @ryancraig2795 As much as I'd like to blame it all on the Trudeau government, many of Canada's problems are systemic. Also at least some of the housing cost issues can be blamed on the previous Conservative government, who did everything they could to kick the can down the road and keep the house price gasbag inflating. We should have had a proper correction after the 2007/8 global financial crisis, but we didn't. However the Liberal government has done nothing in the last 9 years to improve things, and in fact the record high immigration levels have undoubtedly contributed to housing demand. 9 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @donaldmulrooney942 My family has been here for 350 years, don't know what the hell you are complaining about, life has never been better. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 2 months ago @brianfallon2607 If no one wants to live in Canada, why do so many people want to immigrate to Canada? 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @my_yt-d6e Home prices are on the up in pretty much everywhere in the developed world. But it's true it's more extreme in Canada. I don't see a major housing crash anytime soon and so home ownership will remain inaccessible to a large portion of the population. That said some measures could be taken to calm the market, for example, banning HELOC's would take away some liquidity from the market and thus less speculators. Also producing public housing accessible to a wide range of incomes, with some conditions (like how they do it in Austria) should be a mandate in all provinces similar to the way healthcare is. These measures may not be a long term solution but they certainly can help the next couple of generations. 22 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @Impozalla I came to Canada as an immigrant. I am very educated person and with multiple advanced degrees. I cannot make a decent living there due to discrimination at work and the gradual increase cost of living. I moved out of Canada to live in the States where I am making so much money and opportunities are plentiful. I wish for every Canadian who could move to the states, just do it. 160 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 2 months ago @SanjaySharma-rh7bo The tragedy is not just about Canada. It is amazing how people elect leaders in democracy making us think if democracy & elections r worth the effort. 9 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @horridohobbies Every time I take my family out for dim sum (6 adults, 3 young children), it costs $150 !!! This is much, much higher than just 4 years ago.\n\nCanada is extremely expensive. 29 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @sexygeek8996 Any Canadian with money, skills, education or business ideas would be better off leaving because Canada punishes success. People without these things act like everyone should stay in Canada and suffer instead of pursuing better opportunities. 378 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 2 months ago @Canadian_Eh_I The fact that housing is suddenly a political issue shows just how out of touch these champagne liberals are and how much they dispise the lower classes. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @tharblin The cost of a permit in Canada costs as much as a brand new completed home in Florida, brand new... The bureaucracy has fallen in love with itself. 2944 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 2 months ago @myrandomstuf Well done! 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 2 months ago @relaxgood5214 You say why no one wants to live in Canada while the population in Canada continues to increase. Problems with housing started years before Trudeau was elected and continued to get worse and the Conservatives are just as culpable and are using it as a political tool. I guess you haven’t looked at how much it costs per month to cover a family for health care in the USA and that’s after spending thousands because of deductibles before you even get covered and only if you can afford a policy that covers 100%. Pie in the sky is for suckers. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
