The person has to apply and it could take 5-20 years with an attorney to try to come back to their families. It’s costly and not guaranteed. Trump's new Border czar, Tom Homan said on CBS 60 Minutes, 2 days before the election, that he'd deport illegal immigrants AND legal immigrants AND those born in America who have illegal parents or grandparents.
