1 year, 10 months ago @evilcroat7845 I am from Croatia. Couple years ago my friend had an apt he was renting out and suddenly the tenants decided to stop paying and wouldnt leave. He just went to one of those shaddy strip clubs found a couple thugs that were working there and hired them to scare the crap out of them by threatening them with their lives. 2 days later they were gone lol. Sometimes extreme measures are required. Whats better wait 5 yrs to finally evict someone or take matrer into your own hands. 314 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @MG-oh1ew This causes discrimination when looking for a tenants. If the law did its job people would allow almost anyone with a job to rent. \n\n\nInvestigate and potentially ARREST the tenant review board workers for being complicit in this crime. They or the politicians who allow this are probably ignoring cases related to friends and family. It is an easy decision, you don’t pay, you get kicked out. If you don’t pay for your groceries, you don’t get them. If you don’t pay for your car, they repossess it. I think there is something more deep going on here. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @thestarseedscompassthestar7282 Can't the landlord sell the debt to a collection agency and have them go after the tenants? 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @1212haro This is absolutely ridiculous. No tenant should be allowed to shaft landlords like this. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @user-cs2mw9rw6c I nearly got evicted for being $4 short one month, had to go to court and everything, what the hell? 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @epictetus3406 Anyone who buys property in a country that doesn't allow them to own it is making a massive mistake. Why would you buy an investment that you have no control over? 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @AlexanderCroft-gu9rg sounds harsh…. but there are risks you take as a landlord, bad tenancy is one of them. And to be honest, 41K? that’s penny compare to the property’s value in that area. Amidst horrible housing across the country, hard to side with landlords complaining of their issues . i know its very bias, but too many landlords go into real estate when they should stick to stocks. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @jent6643 This is horrific. My dad is an elderly landlord and this is exactly what is going on. Tenants try to take advantage of him as a landlord and as an elderly man. The criminals have more rights and Trudeau supports it. This woman should be ashamed of herself. 2 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @brdphl Canada is a crazy country now. Criminals have more rights and leeway than law abiding tax paying citizens. Renters are just signing leases and than holding the owners hostage. Its not right 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @Malbosia Surely there are some records from the tenancy branch from an arbitration hearing? Something is fishy here. 4 years and no court documents? ? 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @farookjahoor4977 Never invest in rental property if you want a peaceful retirement. You're much better off with an IRA or annuity. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @Ek0 People need to get out of the business of human necessities. This kind of behavior will constantly happen as long as there is that much profit in doing this. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
1 year, 10 months ago @21DaySmoothieDetox This video appears to be a fabricated story by realtors and landlords aimed at creating a case for imposing stricter rental restrictions 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @John_II I think it's good that we run this kind of story. Most landlords especially for condos like this one in Toronto, are owned by regular folks who still work a job and have budgets and families. They aren't greedy, they aren't big corporations; they're just people who bought investment properties and want to rent them out for a price. Canada needs landlords because not every can or even wants to buy real estate.\n\nWhen you see stories like this, which I think are outliers, they're good reminders that being a landlord is risky and income properties don't print money. It's also a reminder to good tenants (which are most tenants) that your landlord isn't being paranoid when they ask for references, proof of income, etc. They would rather scare you off then be saddled with a non-paying, non-leaving tenant (rare as they may be) and they don't know you (and you don't know them). 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @ashammay2727 Bad policies cause disinvestment i.e. selling property in Canada and investing outside. This leads to devaluation of Canadian dollar aka inflation. Canadians need to wake up and understand macro economics remember Argentina was also once one of the richest countries in the world. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @garathe2 Forget the LTB. If the arrears are over 35k, go issue a statement of claim in the superior court and ask for a writ of possession. Court is MUCH faster than the lame excuse for a tribunal that is the LTB 2 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 10 months ago @NidaKazmi Took us 2 years to evict my dads tenant. I was shocked to find out that just getting eviction order isn’t the end, you need a final final eviction notice without return to court and straight to sheriff. AND Peel region only has 2 sheriffs to conduct eviction and that can take 10 weeks plus additional costs. Oh don’t forget, if the tenant claims to have cancer that buys them additional time in unit, and if proven they get at least one year free additional. Canada is a SHITSHOW. 0 N0xk0Bn6FqI
