In my family, we make more than 5x what our parents did, yet they own a home and we never will. I'm with the kid, LAUGHING at the insanity of the housing market. There's also plenty of homes available... my friends own 5-10 houses between them and rent them all out for example. Because the system made it trivial to do so with HELOCs on invisible money. |

We need to end newcomers from Buying older homes and be obliged to build their own homes on vacant land. No one should be allowed to buy a 500 thousand dollar home then tear it down and then build a multi- million dollar home that no one can afford. |

I hope this is the peak of the housing market and it’s all downhill from here, but that will require some seriously speedy construction, from skyscrapers to townhouses, detached is probably not worth it to build anymore bc it takes up too much room |
