1 year, 9 months ago @Green_Goddess Education doesn't have to cost so much. No wonder so many Canadians questioning the validity of these university degrees in exchange for a decade of debt. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @anneboyer6359 So these institutions never consider their own communities, never mind the families of these students who are giving away their entire life's savings to make them get into these institutions. What a rotten system. 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @northbaysilverandgold807 Dont move to another province just get the hell out, and do us Canadians a favour tell everyone you meet how bad it is to come here, hell make a you tube video about it lol and for those Canadians thinking of moving another province don't you'll only be faced with the same high costs 1 7hOyjWdJNgM
1 year, 9 months ago @entertainmentsource7466 Yes but that money goes in the universities pockets how does that help the public? They just become burden on the public after when they cant find jobs and cant afford food! 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @flowersArePretty1 The problem wasn’t ever the international students, it was the people who let them in for some quick bucks when we don’t have the infrastructure to support them 6 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @sidharthshekar5046 Good Riddance! Europe, here we come to improve your economy! 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @ums1044 I thought it only existed in France 1 N0xk0Bn6FqI

1 year, 9 months ago @brijesh1994 Real struggle for money is now started ??? You will see the declining Number in next year economy growth ??? 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @ameetlibran9845 Western Countries should be ashamed of themself for Encouraging Illegal Criminals to Enter and claim ASSYLUM and Refugee. Stealing Tax payers hard earned Tax Money in forms of Various benefits. 0 S1cGR9rtnKc
1 year, 9 months ago @MiniOilSlyk They caught OJ at last. 0 AKZsJlIjMo8
1 year, 9 months ago @Stu-w7r This is a very good thing. Many Canadian youth cannot afford to go to school, they should have the first opportunity. 3 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @vikfee1645 Corporate greed. Education should be free and for Canadians only with only some small exchange programs funded by foreign institutions 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @steveverhoef5667 Maybe universities should be fully privatized. Clearly then see a business model they prefer. \n\nCanadian students are getting shafted. Tax the universities to fund Canadian educations 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @Thoughts2002 Wishful ? Ng - came across a Pakistani family with 6K per month govt payout because they got approval for asylum. Another young man is getting 2K every month though he says he has no issue in his home country and now trying to get rest of family here too from Pakistan so that they all can apply for asylum. Canada is getting cash workers for low wages jobs - Uber drivers, servers , grocery store cashiers. for life long just like Europe has been for so many years. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @birdeyecloud6801 Canada and needs to closes half of universities and collages, because these colleges and universities are running like for business. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @rdgpats Let’s see a 90% decline 2 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @paulevans8348 Why did they accept them in the first place? And these immigration lawyers are scumbags. 0 j-Q8y3dv9Og
1 year, 9 months ago @Talwar1807 Are the universities and colleges here to provide education for Canadians first or to make money from International students. They should never rely on international students in the first place to begin with. This is called scamming the general Canadian population, a racket. All these so called universities and colleges provide you with useless degrees and diplomas and you can’t even land a decent job. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @carleynorthcoast1915 The gravy train has derailed. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @AJ-pj2jw Universities are scams, basically. 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @Wezzie0 How does thr govt and institutions expect international students to pay as high as 56,000 per year and not get permanent residency? Locals cant afford this fee and they are on student loans ..56K per year is an investment and dont forget that Canada advertised that international students are the most adjusted to Canadian life! 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @TheAmbex A 45-55% drop puts them back to the number of international students we accepted 5 years ago. It's a good thing. 4 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @berkleystreetcapital3588 Why not get into start up space and get an equity partnership as a college. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @billk7574 lol seems like someone's getting fleeced 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @freeflowtrader Guys just become citizen of European Union nation. They only had to pay €600 euro a year for tuition, provided if you speak European language to begin with. \n\nAlso, probably better job opportunities and higher living standards.\n\nCanada is a mess, low quality, poor infrastructure, feels like a second class earth citizen just being in Canada, even for the rich demographics\n\n“Wow I have this 5 million dollar 3 garage house and another cottage in BC.”\n\nThe same money buys you 2-3x the amount with probably better quality in Europe. \n\nCanada just seems like a slump 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @Youngblood81Gamer Nothing is political in here. If you open your eyes and ears you will see and know the reason WHY. Of course canadians dont have the same rights with temporary workers. Canada is for canadians and not indians or muslims etc. So stop and just live with reality. 0 j-Q8y3dv9Og
1 year, 9 months ago @parvathysreedharen3706 Everyone keeps talking about international students. How about refugees? How much money are they getting from our government? 5 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @bxba4589 Yet the CEO is pushing the feds to reverse their decision shows they don't give a flip about us just about their paychecks as bottom line. Besides, universities are virtually outdated with AI models so you are just wasting your money. Time for Canada to revolutionize the entire system and put more money in trade training. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @RobertTorontoYYZ If Universities have a problem with their budget, take a hard look at ending defined benefit pensions, ending free tuition for the children of extremely well paid professors, and ending tenure. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @photoboy These foreign students are being exploited, that's the real problem, and these institutions are just as responsible for creating a system that only cares about the contents of their wallets. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @BuRgERKANGZ1488 Mass Deportations\nnow, by force! 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @user-uj2tc9dm4t Stop allowing corruption on pricing. Why was these charges allowed to start. Like liberals making Canada soly reliant on liberal handouts that have ballooned our debt. Liberals give money to people who can’t afford houses does not make houses more affordable but the opposite. Creat laws and actions to bring houses prices down not handouts like liberals have done for baby’s and now we have more immigrants having kids than Canadians cause Canadian know we can’t afford 2 , 3 kids but others want the baby bonuses plus a employment plus wage subsidy etc that’s why the working people paying 40% of n are become taxes in top of the 3 times tax on fuel and groceries to pay for the lazy and ones who suck the system dry. Canada has lowest gdp production in last 9 plus querters, most protest for wage increases in 40years, most work related strikes to do affordability. Liberals just raised bc minimum wage to 20$ ask yourself how many coffees have to be sold to cover wage so expect simple coffee to cost over 3$ hahaha let’s not even talk about food fuel and energy cost 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @tkb3369 Good. Canadians been having such a hard time getting admissions nowadays. Also classes are overfull 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @enriquemoran9094 Canadian Universities have no right to demand anything! CEOs and other execs need to drop down their salaries by a lot. We should have a cap on that. Don't base Canadian's right to education on immigrants, we know that model doesn't work. That has destroyed affordability and all for your relentless greed. We need more Canadians at college, less tuition fees, more federal money into the system and less internacional students. Your model is unsustainable and it was about time for that cash cow madness to come to an end. By the way, we also need to crack down on those fake colleges and outlet diploma mills. Post secondary education is a mess and it should be cleaned up real good. 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @firstandforemost87 So, we should all have lower standards of living so that universities can gouge foreign rich ppl and keep raking in $ while delivering trash ‘education’? 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @abstract7073 We are in this situation because we were too dependent on international students, particularly those coming to colleges. If you are unable to run them, then just shut them down, only the best will remain… 3 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @-az-1236 Why should Canadians fund the universities and further fill the pockets of these deans and professors? They already make 100K+ while the middle class Canadians are suffering at the expense of these greedy people since we don't have jobs and living paycheck to paycheck. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @idiotbox1100 High quality post secondary education - no value for money. 2 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @lorenzomabalos9851 It's good they're upset, they're scamming people and teaching useless woke neoliberal ideologies along with socialism. 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @chandlerwilson8923 Needs more likes 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @kyloren3693 Time to start paying the younger generations a living wage innit? 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @Jacko0_0 The question isn't how Canadians want to fund these institutions. That's the institutions problem. 1 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @sarabxyz ? 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @truth6612 These Colleges and Universities (like governments) need to streamline their operations in order to reduce costs.\nMy daughter is in her second year of College and the amount of waste and bureaucracy that exists now, is far worse than what it was when I went to College in the 90's.| 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @canadianguy1955 Let's hope it drops to 10% of the current number. 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @adstix Funny that Canada wants to eat its cake and also have it at the same time!\nOn one hand, Canada wants the funding generated by international students but not as keen on the reciprocal students' welfare in the areas of work/residence permit, housing, healthcare, etc.\nAnd yet, there's always a super long waiting line for pretty much everything simply because of insufficient workforce! 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @shajufx Universities and high ranking educational institutions have been money printing entities, which is designed for the same right from centuries back, until the new generation realizes there are multiple other modes of making more money in life, the world is already moving in that direction ! The transition will be similar to how printed newspapers almost disappeared and everything became virtual ! 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @Joemamarickroll Good the universities don’t seem to care about the housing crisis being created by too many international students or the lack of jobs for Canadian youth because of it . 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
1 year, 9 months ago @ninasimone3765 Make Canada great again 0 y7oqyu5NGk4
