1 year, 6 months ago @youtubemusic3221 How it different from what british did in the past to convert everyone to Christianity. I will respect other culture and religion but not going to change my culture. So i hope It's better people mind it's own business. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @danmarijanovic2099 I want to both keep my culture, but also teach others about it. And I'm thankful to live in a country that affords me that opportunity. And that's the glue that binds us together, and helps make immigrants accept the core values of the society they are entering (which, note, doesn't necessarily mean that people should have turkeys on thanksgiving... why not chicken korma, or sarma?) 0 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @samtoo8685 I’m Asian and my parents are trying to push their traditions and superstitions on me. But I am born into western culture. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @pimentofume Canada is a multicultural country that welcomes people from all backgrounds. While it’s great for immigrants to keep their own culture and traditions, it’s also important for them to connect with Canadian society and values. This balance helps everyone feel part of the community and makes Canada stronger and more inclusive. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @billsherman8755 They can keep their traditions but (a) don't force them on Canadians and (b) they need to assimilate to Canadian traditions you wanted to come here it's not like we invited you imagine someone in your home forcing there believes on you refusing to respect your home or your family they start destroying your home you've worked hard to build WHAT WOULD YOU DO 0 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @poojan423 If your govt was strict on terrorism and gangs then this problem wouldnt have existed and immigrants would have assimilated with canadian values. The khalistan issue has cropped up in Canada because of your govt support. Its non existent in India. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @HarshSheth-dm3kg AI Overview \nLearn more \n… \nCanada's values include: \nDiversity and multiculturalism: Canada's official policy is multiculturalism, and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms enshrines this value. \nEquality: Canada was one of the first countries to legalize same-sex marriage, and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. \nRespect for Indigenous cultures: Indigenous peoples were the first to welcome newcomers to Canada, and many Canadians celebrate the differences and commonalities of their cultures. \nHuman rights: Canada's values include respect for human rights. \nDemocracy: Canada's values include inclusive and accountable governance, peaceful pluralism, and respect for diversity and human rights. \nPunctuality: Canadians value their time and expect others to be on schedule. \nPoliteness and fairness: Canadians value politeness and saying “please” and “thank you” in many social situations. \nLining up for services: Most Canadians feel strongly about lining up for services. \nPreserving the environment: Canadians value preserving and protecting the environment. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @ryan7773 New Canadians shouldn't bring the same behaviours here that contributed to why they left their country of origin in the first place. Also, if you want to be Canadian, then BE Canadian and treat everyone the same. Don't sew more division by only dealing with people of your original culture. That goes for everyone. Just treat people the same, with kindness and compassion. 39 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @KathyBarnett-m4m If we went to there country we would have to accept there's why should it be different here. Of course they should just like we would have to. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @Loloff210 Assimilation or get out of 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @toybarons I have no issue with an immigrant keeping their traditions. However, some immigrants seem to feel that once here that Canada owes them every single thing that they want. Immigrants forget that they chose to come here. Instead it feels like now instead of becoming part of our society, many come here and want to change our way of life to suit them. It's not right. 18 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @Pmach29 One reason for this, TRUDEAU!? 0 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @RobCan-k8o As an Indian immigrant myself.. I hate to see what has become of Small towns and cities Specially Brampton becoming a menace. People should be allowed to keep their traditions but not at the cost of local values and laws… and I really wonder what law enforcement is at play when people are driving like crazy… \nPlazas and strip malls turning in to a complete mess in the evening … these were never a problem before… now the quality of immigrants have gone down. Coz Mr. Trudeau values quantity over quality… 11 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @Hoktew If culture is contrary to laws that born citizens get charged with then charge everyone... Assault abuse crime etc... crimes affect status. So don't commit crimes. Or do whatever u want but be held accountable like Canadians 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @deepmoyhazra2235 What if I try to learn Indigenous culture in stead of European Canadian culture? ? 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @TheBohemianStyle Jack is ignorant. Yes, Canadians feel that immigrants must adopt to Canadian culture and drop theirs. It is okay to share and learn, but we don’t live from where they come from. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @AmberAnderson-i5h They can practice their religion and traditions like anyone else. But, when you are welcomed into our country and you start wanting to raise your flag, stop us from celebrating Christmas and do U-turns everywhere you go in your car because that's what you verbally say is acceptable in your country, it becomes ridiculous and people are not responding well to any of of it. Then screaming racism and that your just being discriminated because of the color of your skin to get get suppress the situation and get what you want is absurd, while being smug in born and raised Canadians faces. \n\nI find it funny that I have yet to meet a new immigrant that has come to Canada and they all claim to have been born here. It's really ignorant to lie to a persons face and to think that we don't know that your doing it. I hardly see the Canadian flag raised anymore and see everyone else's flag raised. Yet, most would not allow any of us to go and raise out flag in their country. wth. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @agill4524 Only adopt Indigenous traditions then! Everyone else is in an Immigrant! 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @jeffpotipco736 There is a certain desert cult that is completely incompatible with every other society on earth. Yet JT insists on importing them by the thousands and gives them priority. 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @sled9263 I don’t care if they keep their customs. I absolutely care that they insist on me changing to fit their customs. I will not change. They are welcome to come to Canada but they need fit in. I’m sick of our politicians telling me I need to change to not offend the immigrants. 8 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @Keepasking123 You cannot break Canadian law if you live here. You cannot make Canada a replica of the country from where you lived. You must be THANKFUL and PROUD to live in a free country like Canada. 13 SXxei3c7ECQ

1 year, 6 months ago @JCasR3 Customer Service/Expectations is a big problem. A lot of places in the world retail and front line workers are treated like slaves or second class. I can’t tell you how often in recent years people are straight up abusive towards workers. Haggling isn’t a thing here, and while workers are paid to help you. They aren’t a personal attendant. It’s worse when it’s an immigrant employee and an immigrant customer who expects the same treatment here as they did back home. 1 SXxei3c7ECQ
1 year, 6 months ago @MrSatdevil When Canadians fight among each other in canada for their place of birth countries or coubtry they like or for the country they want to create, then something is not working right! 0 SXxei3c7ECQ
