The tenancy laws in Canada are built for the renters/tenants. The law does not care for the landlord, who has worked hard all their life to build something for themselves, only to be abused by irresponsible tenants (both domestic and foreign). |

This is what happens when there is zero accountability when you don't pay your rent. They aren't held financially responsible and they get off scot free, God forbid you owe the government money though. They will destroy your credit and throw you in jail. As long as its happening to us peasants its ok. Just shut up, take your shots, don't say anything that can offend anybody, and you'll be allowed to go to work everyday to give them 40% of your pay. |

We have seen similar situation for our rental property. The tenant board is inefficient and outright agains landlords. The tenant board deliberately delays hearings and tries to penalize landlords. It is a severely broken system. |
