I lost close to 20K and couldn't do anything the tenant was evicted after almost a year without paying a dime. This was not even in Toronto but 4 hours away. They need to get rid of LTB or reform it to very least. |

Good, I say good, landlording is a business, this is the risk of running the business of landlording, if tenants can find a way to stay without paying, that makes them smart business people, free market, hakuna matata , ashes to ashes, dust to dust. This is CRAZY you not allowed to miss you mortgage payments or property tax but you somebody can miss rent for years and the system would protect them. Thats why I don't even rent my basement I bought my house for me and my family yes the extra income is good but not worth the headache and when they talk about hosing crisis too bad i don't even listen to that you can sleep outside for all i care |
