2 years, 1 month ago @Freddy_Sutton I was born BC, Canada 40 years ago. In my 31 years of working, the minimum/general hourly wage has gone from $7 to $17/hour. In my 24 years of renting, a one bedroom apartment went from between $500-$600/month to $1700+/month if you're lucky. Most businesses make too little to pay a living wage and governments make too much off of people trying to get rid of questionably gained money to care about the lives/best interests of the average person. 1 7hOyjWdJNgM

2 years, 1 month ago @JCasR3 Been working with a lot of immigrants and the ones who complain the most… tend to have the same mentality. They apply for every social assistance program possible, they are very demanding, and often live outside of their means. Buying expensive cars and traveling often. My family immigrated here in the 90’s as refugees and both my parents worked hard. They never took out any handouts. If you need it, get it. The big difference is the mentality. Most of my parent’s friends were the same. Came to Canada with the mentality to work hard and get a better life. 19 7hOyjWdJNgM

From then onward, it would be 70% economic migrants. So already a direct contravention of equality unless disadvantaged(section 15 of the Charter).\n40% are thinking about moving due to high housing cost, well, when 20% more of them are now in the top 10% of monetary society... It follows that 40% would get priced out.\nI do not excuse the Liberals, they knew Harper said that those new 20% also had to have a 15-17 year old kid from 2012 to 2017, and they did nothing about the missing homes they'd continue needing.\nNo, Harper also did nothing about the new homes they'd need, he instead offered tax rebates for green energy retrofits, even further proving that Conservatives care only about those who already have money. 3 7hOyjWdJNgM
