In the early 80’s a shoe salesman could afford a home and family. Now that same shoe salesman works for minimum wage and wages have not kept pace with the cost of living. Most are now living way below a living wage standard in most Canadians cities. |

Housing costs are so savage right now and that's just one issue with them. I mean it when I say Most Canadians couldn't afford to have a house given to them... I make more than double the average income, and I'm just about ready to live in a camper. I actually see that being the future here, people will soon live on campsites. Financially it is the smartest move right now, it's just harsh due to the winters. |
