Toronto a clean and safe city. Where cars are stole in mass and people are stabbed every night, drive by shootings are a weekly event and the homeless piss, shit and shoot up drugs at your child's bus stop. |

I think this was a pretty fair assessment in general, you relied on statistics instead of just personal opinion for your rankings. That said, Quebec should not be number one. You somehow got through talking about it without mentioning the fact that it is a French province. You have to be able to speak French to live there. That’s a major concern if you only know English. As much as I want to put my home province of Saskatchewan at the top (though on a side note I think it should be higher, your main argument against it was the crime rate, but that’s just in certain areas of the province), Alberta is the best province from an unbiased perspective. Also I think this is a bit unfair to Manitoba as well. \n\nAll things considered though this is a solid list. Good job. |

Ranking provinces is a waist of time. It's the cities that are more important and what's nearby. Theres only a handful of cities I'd personally live in. Victoria area, Okanagan area, Kingston area, Barrie/Wasaga/Midland/Collingwood areas, Sault Ste Marie area, or Halifax, The others are either too rainy, too cold, too boring, to big, too far away from other cities or too French. |

I'd rather live in murdertoba than the coasts'(typhoon's, hurricanes, tsunamis) or BC(drugs), Quebec(Organized Crime), or Ontario(The People), I'd rather pay a decent price for a house and probably get murdered, then deal with the aforementioned. |

If anyone wants to move or visit montreal, you can very well make it without speaking french. The very vast majority of montreal speaks english as their second language. However, I still strongly recommend you learn at least a bit of french as the further you get from montreal, the less english speakers you will encounter (this can be as low as 30km away). Also, even if people do speak english as their second language, no one likes to get forced to adapt their speaking to someone who doesn't even try to make an effort to speak in the local language. So it is best if you learn at least the basics like: Hello -> Salut; Do you speak english? -> Parlez-vous anglais?; I don't speak french -> Je ne parle pas français;... And other basic sentences you would expect to say. More likely than not people will still switch to english if you know nothing in french, but usually people are more than happy if you try to speak their language and it makes for a more enjoyable experience all around. |

There is no way to grade a diverse country as Canada. It is better just to say what every province offers. Some like a priest, some like the priest's wife, and who is then #1? |
