2 years, 1 month ago @Rajesh_Singh301 A country that is smart enough to build such beautiful cities cannot build more houses for its citizens? Something doesn't gel. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 1 month ago @brookebain7250 Politics aside, no country seems to be doing well… yes Biden and troudoieu (however you spell it) both suck, but even if we had different leaders, I think we’d be in a similar situation.. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @busanim Good to know it's not just my country. We elected the same prime minister four times (or is the fifth now? idk, i don't count it at this point and don't follow politics) and the housing and food prices are as bad as in Canada. You can't even dream about buying a house without a loan, or without working for years in Austria or Germany. Regarding the food prices, I don't know the exact numbers, but I remember that when I was 18 (in 2018) one kilogram of bread was 0.77€. Now it's 2.32€. like wtf really. 3 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 1 month ago @JustinBabzz Can you please share your sources? I think framing immigration as a major factor for increased housing prices might be misleading. I've read from a few other sources that the impact from immigration is quite minimal in comparison to other major factors. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 1 month ago @arthurlincoln9093 139700 Indians can't be wrong. It says here that the numbers have quadrupled since 2013 including a 5800% increase in Indian students. \nHow about Chinese immigrants? China is the second largest immigrant group into Canada with numbers expected to hit half a million by 2025. \nAnybody see a link between mass immigration and rising house prices? Everybody in Canada does except politicians. \nOf course it is simple economics. A child can figure it out. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @harpgrewal8203 Im not sure what people thought by electing a failed camp counsellor. semi looney tune, black face numerous times etc. You are getting what you voted for. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @yinji88 conservative, liberal, same shit different packaging because both parties are responsible for this issue. That issue being for so many decades homes have been treated as investments domestically and from foreign investors instead of ACTUAL homes for people to live in. Now we're reaping the consequences and the country has long rotted from the core. Unless a tyrannical-ish gov steps up and curbs the shit out of investors, serial landlords, and collusion within the real estate market, we're doomed. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @lizw7637 Yea.. Canadians invited the devil to the throne, now the whole country is going down in flames. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 1 month ago @eneto7785 Canadians should not complain but enjoy what they voted for. Trudeau was reelected, so...... 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @IusedtohaveausernameIliked Let's make Canada great again. Actually I'm kidding. Let's not go down that road. It's easy to poke holes, and cherry pick problems, much harder to appreciate the good things we have. Canada has problems for sure but every place does and we really don't have it so bad. Unreasonable expectations are just as big of a problem as high prices. If Vancouver is too expensive then go somewhere else. I did. Canada is a big place. Very big. There are loads of opportunities if you get out of the rut you are in and stop thinking that life owes you a certain lifestyle. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years, 1 month ago @lynep7725 We voted for the bloc but the english keep re-electing him.... 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @straighttothedisco As much as I don’t like the guy, it’s misguided saying it’s only Trudeau. Is he the solution? Not likely, but it’s a start. The issue is accountability from the provincial governments who have low voter turnout, and are allergic to investing in diversified transportation or fixing housing, or immigration laws, and taxing rich people more and god forbid they update their labour and health system. So much of these issues were present for years before he was elected, because the country just voted to get out of the recession and cut a ridiculous amount of funding. The Harper years were terrible, people forget that. He wanted to ban abortions. That’s the future his party wants. I think they need a coalition government, badly and to turn it on the provinces to come up with plans before asking for money. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @JoATTech Not sure choosing different party would yield other results. Here in Poland we got 2 parties changing every 4 or 8 years ... and it's a shithole too ...\n\nCan you give an example when politician took care of the citizens? I cannot. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @yassersaadi6559 But they legalized pot and painted the crosswalks with rainbow flag colours so that should fix everything. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @worwantube Totally feel you for the lack of the competition. We also have the same problem in Thailand. For example, the CP holding controls over 60% of food supplies in Thailand from grocery scale like 7 Eleven to the wholesale scale like makro and Lotus :(( 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years, 1 month ago @ChairmanMo I already saw the writing on the wall in 2008 and went out to Asia Pacific. I have never looked back. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
