2 years ago @tibuy There are two happiest days in life: the day you arrive in Canada and the day you leave 1072 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @johnnyairplane2896 Canadians keep complaining that they have a housing crisis.. Let me ask you, where in the world is there no housing crisis?! USA has it, South America has it, Europe, Asia and Oceania has it. You want to live in easy mode? it does not exist. 7 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @cathalsheehan9596 This is eerily similar to Ireland ?‍? 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @KelHeyl Oh look dear. Canada has Fox News, A Heritage Foundation, A Federalist Society and a Koch Brothers. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @utkarsh_8066 Here is the crux as I feel about it : Canada saw US making serious headways in growth due to its immigration policy. However, US scrutnizes like crazy whom they let in. They are very meticulous in drawing guidelines and reviewing them as to who comes in. And have been so for quite a while !\nContrast this to Canada who has been letting just about anybody in, and add to that allow them to launder money. Many of the heavy corrupt players from Russia, China and around the world saw Canada (UK and others) as a perfect haven. \nBring in the worst of the worst into your shores, accept all the blood money they got to invest in housing and other sectors,, and you are handcrafting a 'crisis to be' ! 11 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @legoman6124 Isn’t this the same in the US especially California and NY? 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years ago @leandrocambuta7178 Honestly, real canadians should just immigrate to African, with some good dollars saved they can turn their lives around and live with far less struggle than they have in Canada, heck, they can even live like kings 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @LMFAO_FAN_2004 you know what will solve these problems? More immigrants! 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @swiralgod How else are the boomers going to keep all the benefits they voted for ? They didn't have enough kids to pay into the Ponzi, so they invited foreigners to the party. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @danielngandu8656 Just goes to show that every country has its own issues that are very real for those living it them! Funny thing is someone will look at Canada and feel that its a far much better option than the reality that they are living in. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @Paul-th9vr I didn’t trust him from the first time I heard him speak, full of promises to make life better while legalizing weed, hearing some women say that he has nice hair, I think there are more important qualities of a politician than their appearance. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @TheFlareMind Is it really that bad in reality as outlined in the video? 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years ago @danimal5390 Trudeau gotta go!!!\nMy own employer is receiving government subsidies to hire new comers to Canada. \n My Canadian co workers are getting fired for bogus reasons so they can hire new comers to Canada. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @duncansantan canada is very cold and expensive, nothing grows , no agricultural product therefore blaming the government is not a solution. in india we have a lot of agricutural product thus cheaper in india. not the housing but the food . 2 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years ago @jerryjurczenko3404 I find this comment - I can't believe people hate my boy Trudeau. Look what he has accomplished. \n1. Record numbers of Tent Cities. \n2. Record amount of Crime. \n3. Highest Inflation since the 80s (His dad was PM). \n4. Record Drug Addiction \n5. Record amount of Food Bank Usage. 2 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years ago @anurondas3853 The thing is I still would choose Canada over a third world country like India. If we look at the median household earnings to average housing prices ratio in Canada it comes out to be around 41%, while here in India this ratio falls down to around 21% at the best. Canada is still more affordable than most of the countries in the world. But still this is no excuse for sky high housing prices. 13 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @shaunharrisonpiano Canada is yet another example of why communism doesn't work. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @Bdoodletalks Is it really that bad there now?! ?\nI mean all the southeast Asian folks have wanted to move to Canada so bad for DECADES now... 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @runderdfrech3560 The only question is why they don't build enough affordable homes. A rising population is nothing special, population density is low, they only had to build enough affordable homes! 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @gamerbot101 Canada is a communist country in disguise! 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @gamerbot101 The incompetence of the Liberal government has robbed the future of young Canadians. Most have no hopes of ever owning a home. Jobs that were once considered to have great income which sustained a good life, now barely get you by living pay cheque to pay cheque 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @gamerbot101 People would say to immigrants, “go back to your country”. Now when they say it the immigrants usually say they are and honestly they’re better off than most Canadians because Canada is a declining nation and it is only getting worse 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @jona4050 I can securely say, that Canada doesn't has the highest Online Paying Rates in the World!\nHave you ever been to Europe?\nEven in countries like Germany you pay way way more for Internet and the media. \nAnd there are definitely other countries with enormous amounts for phone and internet services. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

2 years ago @svendyy As an Ukrainian who moved to Canada 3 month ago I'm deeply worried. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
2 years ago @DivineSteel Some of the stats cited here are straight up wrong or... creatively employed, and there's a lot of contradictory information and the typical conservative 'the sky is falling' sensationalism and misattribution. That said, the bas supposition isn't wrong. The bubble we've been sitting on for 20 or so years has completely burst. As someone born and raised in the Toronto area, it's impossible for me to afford to own a house or apartment here on a teacher's salary. Even rent pushes me to the limit unless I want to live in a... less than nice area. I'm living hand to mouth and enjoying the benefits of living in a 'developed' country less. Here's why:\n\n1. Wages aren't really even close to keeping up with the cost of living. The first tick upwards a bit. The second just keeps rising on the back of housing, food, amenities, and inflation: the four horsemen.\n\n2. Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
