1 year, 10 months ago @alelectric2767 There are no jobs here for all these people. Were trying get the natives up and running who also need support. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @shilpak8497 What canada needs is skillfull immigrants who can either do the jobs or create more jobs 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @gourimisra6050 Issues of toronto are not new. I was in toronto for few months in 2010 and I felt, it doesn't make sense to be here. This is why people prefer USA. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @tonybloomfield5635 You could pretty much substitute the words *_Australia_* for *_Canada_* and *_Melbourne and Sydney_* for *_Toronto and Vancouver_* right through this piece and it would be valid. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @marajevomanash Canada should adopt policies like those of small countries like Norway and Switzerland. Don't be deceived by Canada's map as only the area upto 100 km north of US border should be considered habitable. Canadian economy does not create as many jobs as required for all the immigration that is happening. 1 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @punisher419 As a Indian. i agree with Canadians it's time that all nqtions impose some restrictions as we need our talents to be used for betterment of our country. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @saigonmossy Native Canadian people should have stopped illegal immigration from Europe in 17th century 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @darkmatter5424 The alarming thing is that when you voice protest about uncontrolled immigration, you'll be labelled far right by the media. ? 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @ItsWagxiz Just a bunch of racists in the comments. Let's go Trudeau we're behind you! 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @tonybloomfield5635 A quick look at Scandinavian countries, the UK, France and most of Europe will answer the question posed in the title. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @stevetheecollector This is SUCH a puff piece completely one sided that dismisses legitimate concerns as the only reason being xenophobic......Canada has always welcomed people but it was done at a lot slower pace where people had a chance to assimilate and build a life. You can't add over a million people a year with different cultures and pretend it's going to be ok. Ignoring the massive housing crisis, it's a culture crisis. A lot of the people coming do not share Canadian values, period. Canadians are noticing a massive change in the country they love seemingly overnight. You go out in any city and you barely see white people anymore. It's jarring. It was made into an amazing country by certain people and now it seems new immigrants are treated better than citizens. Everyone is in favor of immigration done the right way, but that isn't what's happening and natural born Canadians have every right to be upset that the country is being ruined in a way they don't want. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @andysu6809 i think it's the economy. the whole thing is growing 2 slow meanwhile the population grew 2 fast. per capital is diluted or decreased to a point average folks felt it pretty hard. im not up against, blame or suggest anything just my thoughts opinion as to why. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @ziakhan5798 Fact is average student spend somewhere 15k to 30k including heafty college fees and Government knows that. The Infact government opened a business by calling unqualified immigrants and ruined the integrity of the country. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @anilmitra5065 I'm not a Canadian. The rational question to ask is--how much of the problems noted are new and real; how much is due to immigration; how much is fabricated by self-seeking politicians; how much is due to the wealthy becoming wealthier; and what should we (all nations, not just Canada) do about world-wide inequity. I'm not saying that it is the wealthier nations' responsibility to provide for the less wealthy and the impoverished, but what should we do? Anything? Nor am I saying, we should have less so that others can have a little more. But should we ignore those who have less--far less? And, how much of the problem, real or not, is due to the reasons given in this video? In this video, I do not see any serious statistics or economic analysis. A theme in this video is that growth is essential. But there's a limit to that too. Maybe these are signs that the world of growth across the globe is ultimately doomed. Are we capable of understanding the world with sufficient precision? Or is all our economics ultimately a sham? 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @atatat54321 That’s how you get votes - by stacking the electoral lists 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @imoutbye i used to be proud of our diversity. i’m 41. \nbut starting a year ago. no. it’s just too much. where did all these people and specifically from india come to canada? it’s out of control. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @pickleballer1986 as Canadian is the reason is there trying keep everything from there home land bringing there issues to us 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @MrOkay-og2cb I really can’t understand why the government pushes the idea that Canada’s identity is mainly from immigrants. It’s true to a degree but that causes identity issues for not only Canadians whose families have been there for generations, but also 2nd and 3rd generations that come from immigrants. At some point you have to slow down and let culture and integration happen naturally 118 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @War20-4 Similar things happening in parts of Australia, high rents people being pushed out of suburbs where they use to live, Immigrants, uni students doing Uber or Doordash just to get by and finding careers they study for won’t exist or over saturated. Families living in tents as houses they go for have multitude of applications not enough affordable infrastructure,\nWe also need smart migration 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @sudirsankr3361 If you travel through Indian villages mainly in Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi and Southern states every KM you will see study/immigrate to Canada. They will tell you it is very easy as you need to spend only INR2.0Million( CAD 35K) to get there and balance you can work there as part time. Majority of Indians coming to Canada is from low income families who want to become middle class in India . High time Canada regulate its student intake and restrict only to selected universities and courses and stop allowing part time work. High skill immigration is still ok as they are coming based on their merit and point threshold and definitely contributing for Canadas economic growth. Student intake must be controlled . 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @forreal1276 Never met an immigrant who didn’t want to bring the rest of his/her family out to Canada… how else do you think they just multiply ? 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @andrewbonning6615 I arrived in 2012 originally from Australia. I’m now a citizen and I learned a trade here too. I’m on a decent wage and I can’t keep up and can’t imagine I’ll ever own my own home here. We’re not against immigration but it needs to be slowed dramatically by about 90% for a few years. I’m being forced back to Australia to seek financial help from my family to hopefully purchase a property back there. The Canadian dream is dead and there’s also to many Indians here. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @brothergaming5224 Canada's economy is being run by immigrants, what is the status of Canadian citizens who can show Canada their worth by running it. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @patternmotherlode9250 Immigration is essential. Blame the leaders for failing to provide infrastructure. This is also true outside of the immigration issue. We have not addressed or overcome the slashing and burning of the 90's. Don't blame the need for immigration. Blame politicians for ignoring the elephant in the room. They have to spend money to properly integrate folks. It's not fair to anyone. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @centralmountain4241 35 years ago, newcomers had to assimilate. Now, they show up and refuse to integrate. They just continue engaging in their own ethnic fiefdoms. This is offensive to Canadians. Also, young Canadian people cannot afford to start families. So, our communities are being destroyed in favour of newcomers. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @Maximus20629 Lot of people come to canada through student visa. They get billions of dollars in the form of college or university fees. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @snafutube I’m in Vancouver at the mo, been here for several months over the past year (from London, UK) … I don’t think this is much of a problem (check the size of the ‘crowd’ at the beginning) in reality, just blown up by the usual handful of RW windbags … it’s diverse and friendly here … sure they need to build more houses … just do it, this is Canada ffs, not the uk … population density in Canada overall is about 4 persons per sq km, in the UK it’s around 280 … and I don’t think that the UK is even full, in reality. Governments need to stop pandering to the landlord class (of which too many politicians are a part and profit from the status quo) 1 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @OliverMisha This situation mirrors Melbourne, Australia.\nThe government is planning to bring in an influx of immigrants and at present we have a huge housing shortage.\nNo plan in place so many people will arrive into a difficult situation.\nIt’s driving up housing costs and driving down wages as immigrants work for lower wages.\nGradually our identity and way of life as Australians is being eroded as Melbourne is being inundated by Indians.\nIt’s unnecessary but it seems like the government has agreements in place to take people that we simply have no place or need for.\nWe feel your frustration and anger, Canada. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @randomstufftokyo Isn’t Canada a country made of immigrants at a very beginning? 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @BlackSheep830 Let's be clear here, it started many years ago when Harper was in charge. The Conservative Government lured educated foreigners to Canada with the promise of great, high paying jobs, and once they got here, once they left EVERYTHING, including their families behind, were told they would have to go back to school in order to be certified. It's a con, the government is a con. The Conservatives, the Liberals, the NDP, the system currently in place...is nothing more than a con.\nAll politicians are liars, all governmental systems are corrupt and nothing will ever change until We The People, take their power away, destroy the current system and rebuild. It is the people who put these politicians in power, yet they do nothing for the people. \nDestroy the system...it does not nor ever has worked. Take the power back. 2 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @feim185 I'm an immigrant for 25 years and I have to agree, Canada is overtaking immigrants. The infrastructure is not enough to accept those numbers. People are having trouble finding e rent, forget about the housess 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @rajeshdaviyal4602 When immigrants are a sure shot votebanks, the citizens and immigrants both suffer for the political class. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @oldchicken2 Imagine an elevator that can hold 15 people. Now imagine adding 50 more people into that elevator and branding anyone who complains a a racist. That’s what Canadian immigration discourse has been for the past 20 years. 3395 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @Superstarr859 I go to a big college here in Toronto not naming names but almost all the students are international students and when we have special events at school no food is left for others due to the number of students that their is. I think schools make a big profit of international students along with the government so they live 10 in a house. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @christopherdawkins5392 Because Canadian born students with exceptional grades have difficulty accessing post secondary money first institutions perhaps? Or when non-canadian born immigrants purchase a gas station and purge the canadin born kids and hire one race? Or when non-canadian born managers only hire from their ethnic group in security jobs? Because temporary foriegn workers keep wages low? I guess they're paying CPP to keep it afloat. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @ricdesouza1 There are very few normal people except the dredges of society who migrate to western countries and maybe a few super super rich. The west made it so hard to jump through all the hoops that normal middle class would not want to put in the effort to degrade themselves and go west. The result is Canada and most of the west get the worst type of migrants and yet the west makes it even harder paradoxically and ends up with even more boat people! 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @vee8647 Many of you don’t even know who is an immigrant and who is actually here temporarily. Since COVID, it has become exceptionally difficult for students and workers to immigrate. The government has already been “cracking down” on immigration for the last four years.\n\nYou can spot the real racists in the comments using phrases like “culturally similar”, “integration” and “demographics.” 0 txyjmNXcWiU
