2 years ago @oldschoolben438 As a child of immigrants, I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised at how sane and policy-based this comments section is when the issue is so aggravating to the public. It goes to show how badly the government at all levels has fumbled, and I can speak from my own experience that most immigrants and children of immigrants agree that we cannot let this many immigrants into the country without better integration and housing availability. It does not benefit ANYONE. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

2 years ago @mdaniels6311 Capitalism is to blame, as it requires a housing shortage for higher profits. The govt needs to build homes. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @Thoseeyesozise Your government will NEVER listen to you. You are the great experiment. Just like the UK. NOTHING will change with the change in leadership. Because votes don't empower government. Treasury bonds do. Your vote is an illusion to keep you compliant. Just vote, if enough people want change, change will happen. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The UK government only had 20% of the votes and now they are in power and there are riots all over the UK because Two teir keir siad he would rather be in DAVOS than WESTMINSTER.... Sorry my Candian friends but it is only going to get worse.. Much worse. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

2 years ago @dabblerdeluxe775 seems like they got everyone eating hand to mouth no matter how hard they work which kills upward mobility.\nThe free market doesn't address this because everyone wants to make a profit, housing prices will match what they can get from people. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @brentwoodhornclub4092 No, not anti-immigration, anti-mass-uncontrolled-unvetted-immigration. Stop spinning the story and try representing the truth for once. 3185 txyjmNXcWiU

2 years ago @Scott-ll2rl The invasion is destroying the country. 2 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @BA-li5ur The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse. But you can’t just keep the tap on when the glass is already full. We need to turn off the immigration spigot for a while, catch up to get our services and housing to a level that is workable, then look at turning it back on with a smarter outlook on the numbers to bring in. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @northpeckhamestateoldschoo2947 David needs to go back home and fight 4 his country, ???? 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @takshaak47 I get that there is a huge problem in Canada with immigration but this interviewer asks too many leading yes/no questions. Can't really get a clear sense of what the interviewees actually feel and have experienced as opposed to what the interviewer wants to hear. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @Christopherjames-h2r the guardian has never got it 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @BA-li5ur If you knew a realtor with a Rolex and living in a shed that’s on their stupidity. Housing is hard, it’s not impossible. If you have $10k for a watch you can find an apartment. 4 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @juliandavies9591 I can never take anybody seriously when they deny that housing problems and infrastructure problem are not linked to population growth. 3215 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @richardcampbell7255 The problem is that Conservative and Liberal federal and provincial governments have not been investing in housing and supportive programs because they have been cutting taxes for the wealthy and corporations. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
2 years ago @maggietaylor9713 Refreshing to hear that the data is available to back up the problem. In UK if you have these conversations your are classed a right wing racist. 25 txyjmNXcWiU

2 years ago @gnomedex Let’s put it this way. If Canada limited the immigration, there would be a shortage of workers, not housing, and theoretically everyone’s wages would increase. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
