our governments allowed the shipment of labour and jobs overseas because of Globalisation (Private Profits), reducing our wages, and then brought in cheap labour to keep wages low in our countries. This creates problems with infrastructure, housing and wages. |

And Canada is way larger than the UK. Unchecked immigration and immigration in general is not ok, especially where infrastructure has not developed enough to cope with even reasonable immigration. Of course, countless governing classes have destroyed their societies and civilisations through disastrous wars or economic policies etc, but I am not aware of a governing class that has set about it deliberately. What they don't know is that there's a weak demand for investment in a country where companies expect a falling population of customers. If birth rates continue to fall down then the government will have no choice but to lure immigrants to boost population.
