1 year, 10 months ago @6411892 Liberal policies always raise the cost of living. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @eisernherz3929 The government playing racist games with low income people enraging citizens by not taking care of immigrants.\nI see it as a test for the strong west for its right to stay strong or even exist in the future 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @DavidMaynardClark This sentiment comes from the fact that most immigrants comes to find progress, for that the great majority comes highly prepared with bachelor's degree and accept being underpaid or average paid. Contrary to whoever costed their education here and don't accept being average or underpaid because of their education costs. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @Heyzol987 Poverty among the european canadians, lack of education alcohol and drogues among european canadians and paranoia is the cause of the anti immigration sentiments. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @camillelnaylor If the immigrants assimilated into the community and stop expecting hand outs from gov't.. i lived in sweden where its become a disaster, bad move on their part. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @moa3008 Low skilled immigrants will always be economically struggling; they pay a lot in rents; and groceries. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @Zaba_the_Dogling enough with this focus on xenophobia already. people have genuine concerns. Stop polluting the debate. 115 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @clearmonth7085 I am surprised that this is put on by the Guardian 2 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @drewraisbeck1504 It's on the rise because the government is actively destroying the wages and welfare of actual Canadians by accepting ludicrous, record numbers of low-skilled immigrants.\n\nIf you are a skilled immigrant in Canada right now, this should make you furious; The governments policies are directly responsible for lower quality of life, an increase in racism (specifically toward Indian immigrants), and a massive sentiment shift in immigration. This harm is going to persist for a long time.\n\nI voted for Trudeau twice. I will never, ever vote Liberal or NDP again after this fiasco. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @danielgriffin8132 Canada was warned. It fell on death ears. The USA is doing the same thing, making people poorer. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @jeremyst.george6711 Illegal immigration you mean.... 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @jaym7479 The real issue is Canada is letting in the trash other nations that they no longer want. The people coming into Canada are the people who cant make it in their own countries. What makes you think they will stand any chance here? We need to let in skilled workers in industries that have demand instead of letting random non working people looking for hand outs because hey cannot make it in their country. The when they do come here, they cannot come to Toronto or Vancouver because they simply cannot afford it. Go where you are needed and stand a chance, the country is vast and in need of people outside of the metros 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @honeybee64 I live downtown, newish condo building; my postman told me building is only for 30% occupied. Rest foreign investors holding out, making it look like there is no housing. Mainstream media contributes to these untruths. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @geoffl the answer is simple: make it easier to build housing\n\nimplementation is tough because people hallucinate all sorts of problems with this approach 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @Umbra00000 Uncontrolled immigration is a problem everywhere in the western world. I live in the US, supposedly one of the best, and had to fight for a long time to get into my apartment. Ignoring legal immigrants, did you know that the US government creates programs where illegal immigrants get free housing? 1 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @kapilpoudel8452 if any country allows large number of indians to live in their country than that country will fall for sure. The best way was to bring educated immigrants in average numbers like 20k from china 20k from india 2k from france, 20k from turkey like that then there will be stable and multicultural. how can countries like canada australia usa gives 100k visa to one single country nations like china and india? it will only ruin the country. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @andrepaul5458 The same in Germany - and no one has the will to stop it. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
