1 year, 10 months ago @sfdanceron1 Immigrants need to make their new life in their own country. 4 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @pokergeniusordonkey6517 Building public housing is a must.\nA temporary stop to immigration is also a must.\nStop blaming each other.\nThe blame is in the numbers.\nNumber of square feet of roof over head per person.\nIt is Canada. It is cold. We must have roofs over heads.\nWe must have more public housing.\nWe must pause immigration.\nPierre Polievre's Government must do both. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @saureco Trudeau is killing Canada. Import migrants, create native housing demand (drives prices up), build more housing for the migrants. Then, by building more, housing they could reduce prices by expanding inventory. \n\nBut, no. Trudeau and his NGO buddies simply import more immigrants to keep pressure on housing to keep prices up. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @CatRiley 20 years ago Canada was a beautiful country. It is a cesspool now. It’s a shame. I come from a military family and I am truly thankful my father and grandfather aren’t alive to see what the country they fought for has become. 156 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @stefanopasquarelli6084 It’s simple. The Canadian government just wants more taxpayers. Taxation at all costs. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @melanieberthelo9582 Canada has been broken for 50 years 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @janetrugenius9345 Because the average Canadian cannot afford to pay their bills. How can we afford to support more and more people from elsewhere? Do we provide services for people from somewhere else or Canadians who live here? 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @mdnis Now that there are millions of immigrants in Quebec, it will never be possible to gain independence, since the immigrants will always oppose it.\nQuebec should have become independent decades ago but now it is too late. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @tompilarski2873 Yes! Absolutely! Too many folks coming into Canada and the economy and infrastructure not keeping up 1 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @khtnsuwdih Simple question: what's the upper limit? 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @Epiphanystone A boat can only hold so much before it sinks. Canada already had a big housing and unemployment problem. I know people would love to be altruistic but you will end up drowning. It’s the same thing in the US and Europe. 0 txyjmNXcWiU

1 year, 10 months ago @szalalaofgmn819 the title is just a joke. just open your eyes 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @caseyford3368 It's on the rise everywhere, because people can't deal with the huge intake of MANY other people. Especially when they cause major issues on a regular basis. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @AngryRabbit-sd6lp They started a classic Ponzi Scheme. An immigrant brings in Cash which they have to spend here which gives a boost to the economy ( when you have hundreds of thousands of newcomers coming in). \nBut the fools didn't realize at the beginning that it is a pyramid scheme where you need new people to keep joining and with time you need more and more people to keep that pyramid from falling flat. Now they can't suddenly stop adding more people but the more join (new immigrants), the worse it becomes for everyone in the scheme (Canadian Residents). 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @rara3538 are they illegal? maybe? whenever the news talks about immigration they literally NEVER say the word illegal, as if it's not happening and isn't the cause of many problems 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @jonathanmoore1868 Turdo is under the influence of his billionaire masters. Canada has become a laughing stock and a place for impoverishing it's people. It's all Turdo's fault but he and his henchmen will end up as a multi millionaires, stolen from the pockets of real Canadians... How embarrassing! 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @susannenymanback Finally uprising in the West!! We all need new politicians!! ❤????❤ 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @redcanoe14 Public demands dictate labour markets....Canadians love Tim Hortons but do not wish to work there so if Canadians contine to have a fetish for coffee and donuts there will be a labour market shortage of these skill sets. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @markwestwood9002 Why do you think? The usual Guardian nonsense! 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @sasookay514 people will always blame the immigrants and NOT the corporate landlords, who have historically been shown to be the real leeches in society 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @donaldmaxie5264 Check into how the immigrants behave, youll probably figure it out. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @leonardogarrido If you come to Canada adapt and respect. That's why this country was so attractive 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @natcalverley4344 Unhoused ? What a joke . It is homelessness. The private sector works great if the gate keepers get out of the way. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @Mongoose-ct6us I am glad Canada is waking up finally. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @eddobond76 How cow come CBC DOESN'T COVER THIS TOPIC ? 2 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @qdlaty23 Commenting enabled on Guardian? I'm surprised. What happened to suppressing readers comments that you love so much? 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @Falasteen1973 for the housing crisis, perhaps we also need to rethink a system that allows people to buy multiple properties and either become landlords or sit on the property to sell at a future date. both situations reduce the housing opportunities for people and cause the cost of housing to increase 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @felisabdi3794 The media is the one in sighting the hate and violence against people, writing these type of articles only creates division with different cultures, stop copy catting other nations , it’s just scams these types of stories , shame on you people 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @RoarMaddy So basically, the West has gained all the benefits from their globalization scheme, but now that they are no longer benefiting from it, they are revealing their true colors. 1 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @wolfontheroad2262 This is a growing Western sentiment? \nWhy? The fact you need to ask is a reflection of your distance from native-born individuals or immigrants to have arrived ....legally.\nThe parents of a household are negligent if open their doors to strangers to the point where these strangers do not adopt the accepted culture and erode the resources of the household.\nMy goodness: this is just commonsense. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
1 year, 10 months ago @chuerpan1858 Yes there are a lot of issues that needs to be addressed. However, its immature to blame every problem onto immigration. Most of us dont know enough about how things really works. Its not like if we stop immigration then all these problems would be fixed, in fact i think we need this population growth due to low birth rates and lack of labor etc. In my personal experience i see in real life where immigrants are working and contributing in all kinds of fields, such as construction, health care and elderly care … instead of pointing fingers, first educated ourselves on this topic, and then think about how we can make this work, i think that would be more beneficial for everyone. 0 txyjmNXcWiU
