Sadly NZ and Australia have the same issues - so many immigrants over the last 20 years - no new hospitals, schools or infrestructure, our population has grown by 1 million in 15 years - NZers living on the streets because housing has been pushed to some of the highest prices in the world, and immigrants taking low-skill and service-worker jobs. Predominantly from India and China! |

When I saw that this was posted by the Guardian my first thought was the article would be a narrative slanted heavily to the left. I'm glad to see that there was some accurate reporting, but also not surprised to see the usual left wing disingenuousness. For example it gives the impression that the Take Back Canada Reddit group was taken down because it was somehow racist, violent, etc., rather than the more likely explanation that Reddit, like most other big tech platforms no longer allows discussions that go against the political narrative. \n\nLet's not forget that The Guardian and those of their ilk are largely responsible for the mess Canada is in. They sold the Marxist narrative. They promote wokeism, and the idea that to have a contrary opinion on immigration is racist. Now they're trying to pretend they care. It's all BS. |

All this hate talk. Canada has a population about the size of California. We will never be overcrowded. Tokyo has 14 million people, so Toronto is a drop in the bucket, and yet Tokyo is a great city. The whiners say it is not racism, yet I am sure they would not bat an eye if it was all Americans moving up here or Europeans. As to why, all those immigrants don't start building new houses and apartments in some suburban extra land upon arrival??? I've always thought that immigrants must get a job in the construction industry 1st on arrival, for a while, unless they are highly specialized workforce - it's no-brainer, this way new houses can be ready already??
