1 year, 11 months ago @VagishaDas sadly it was common before. luckily it is reasonably rare nowadays. It is common in the embassies of Asian countries. But 'First World Countries ' do the same. You even loose your monney. My friend applied 3 times for USA visa. Firts time it was canceled because it was 1 usd more paid for the fees. It happened because of exchange rates. It was more not less. The application was canceled for this reason. So Yes embassies love hassling people. 2 y52I41_NpbQ

2 years ago @sashomon66 I remember the exact same thing happening when I applied for a travel visa to India in NYC , a young woman’s father had died 3 days before and they were given her a hassle about it till she was crying. Many years later I told this story to my then fiancée who was Indian and she said consulate/ embassy officials are nasty as hell to their own country people and nicer to non Indians 1 y52I41_NpbQ

2 years ago @AjitMaliakal If you apply for a us visa they also don't give any reasons for denying your visa application. There are sign boards put up in the US visa office that say funerals of near and dear ones are not valid reasons for emergency visa. These ppl in the video may be of indian origin but are us citizens. Don't think the Indian official has to justify why their visa was denied 15 y52I41_NpbQ
