Wrong. By that Logic Medina would have forced the Prophet (PBUH) to stay in Makkah and die under the Makkan's assassination strategy. Because of his and other's right to Makkah's land.\n\nIslam taught us, when the persecution happens. Leave the land even if it is Kaaba. Leave even if you are the Sahaba.
