Nobody is talking about all the babies being born with these immigrant couples and families. Canadian young people are deciding not to have children because sadly they can't afford them. Meanwhile immigrants are using our over burdened medical fiasco while our children and tax payers work non stop supporting them! More babies, bigger accommodations, support, child tax credits, extra necessities, vehicles, even friggin credit cards paid by us.

It is absolutely wild the difference in immigration now vs pre-2015. I had a brief marriage in my early 20’s to a man that was a Turkish PR and when we had our child in 2012 - back when Kenney was minister - we were unable to get a 3 week visitor visa approved for his mother and 17 year old sister to come to Halifax from Istanbul to meet the baby because they were considered at risk for not leaving. This is despite my former MiL providing documents showing she had property, a business and an ailing husband to return to. They appealed the decision once, the result was the same and they were then told they couldn’t re-apply for a certain length of time. We ended up taking the baby there when he was a few months old as it was so much easier. Now everything’s a free for all

The birth rate is low b/c the rich have too much money and the workers have too little. Tax the rich, tax them HARD and incr workers watges and you will see people have the number of babies that they want. If Canada (or the US) offered free housing, free childcare, and guaranteed jobs (the USSR model), the "labor shortage" and "birth rate crisis" would vanish in 9 months.

I have lived in Brampton from 1988 to 2014 - the sign on the 410 in 1988 for population in Brampton said around 64 000, have a look today.... I wish we made that many babies in so little time!!

This is a multifaceted problem for us. Firstly we keep emigrating people in, to deal with a declining population, instead of addressing the issues directly resulting in declining population, like the housing problem, cost of living, under paying jobs, and astronomical Post secondary prices to get basic diplomas I know for a fact that 90's babies will be the last generation to have more then one child. Another issue is the recruitment centers in India, funded by Canadian corporations looking for cheap labor, promising the world to struggling Indians only to back out of every promise they made, and put the burden on the government and Canadians. This plus a lack of population control in India, is set that to have Indians to be over 25% of the global population in the next 50 years.

The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses. They come here and they own houses and have businesses that they ONLY hire East Indians, have East Indian clientele ONLY because they all pay cash so they can circumvent the taxes. They all make babies like mice so give it 40 years and Canada will not be recognizable. And it’s the governments fault because they’re so greedy for tax money that they let the here by the boat load because they don’t wanna wait for the rest of us to make Canada larger population wise because it will take way too long. That and their tuition money for colleges, the list goes on in this non talked about bullshit that the liberals have done. They seriously do all this scheming and raising taxes just to give our tax money away to everyone but the people who pay the taxes. We could have put a huge dent in the national debt by now, but liberals just can’t conserve money hence their name. If it doesn’t stop soon, we are doomed. Surrey BC where I lived for 14 years, is just as bad as Brampton. They all own 1.6-2 million dollar houses in the suburbs of the city, all own businesses and all do the same shit as Brampton, circumvent the taxes. That’s the thanks we get for letting them here is to scam us so they can get rich quick while we all suffer and will never own a house by the looks of it. In Victoria BC where I live now, it’s gotten so bad that I can’t move out of my house I’ve been in for 4 years cuz I can’t find anything cheaper and this place is a 400sq ft 1 bedroom for $1850 a month. Can’t afford to do anything but survive while the immigrants all live like kings. There’s gotta be a line to not cross and that has been the case for too long where it’s been crossed for a long time and no one says or does anything about it out of fear of being called a racist. When their own country can't help the population with jobs, affordable housing, medical care, transportation system, over crowding due to population spike, overall provide better living back home. Yet every one of them tries to leave for other countries in the world for a better life. Then why grow the population so rapidly fast! Never understood that part. On the flip side sure grow your population if your country provides better life in terms of all those necessities. This way you can't be deported and the Canadian government will give you more money because you have a child. When did people visiting a country working on a temporary Visa develop the idea that they were automatically entitled to citizenship? To be clear the only reason we have immigration is because we don't make enough of our own babies. there are a number of other considerations that would restrict immigration. a sovereign country has a right to determine when, how many, from where and why they accept people from other parts of the world to become citizens of their country.
