I don't ever venture into Brampton anymore, as I don't do service calls or work as a mechanic. I basically got told, without being told they wanted a more diverse field of technicians. Over 12 years of work trying to get my mechanics license and I'm out. Guys can't even diagnose a ground on a vehicle, yet they can get the Red Seal license cause the "translator" gave them all the answers on the test. I live in suburban Toronto right next to Brampton, thanks for bringing attention to this matter. Everything you showed in this video is 100% facts. Personally as an Indian, I really feel bad about it. I was the lawyer invited to this interview, and after reading some comments celebrating the end of the PEQ, I feel the need to clarify a few things. The people affected by this are not “abusing the system.” this was the program for people that came here legally and are working. To qualify for the PEQ, they had to be working full time, they pay taxes, they speak the language. They’re fixing our roads, keeping hospitals running, welding, machining, doing the jobs most of us take for granted every single day. The hard truth is that Canadians have stopped having enough children, and we simply don’t have enough young people with the skills to fill these roles. Yes, we absolutely should invest more in education and trade programs for our youth — my employer clients are begging young people to become mechanics, welders, skilled workers, often in the regions. Most don’t take those jobs, and even when they do, training takes two to three years. Our industries need people now, or parts of the economy will stall, and that affects all of us as Quebecers and Canadians. These workers are not asking for charity. They are already on the front lines keeping key sectors alive. Ending programs like the PEQ doesn’t punish “illegals” or “free riders”; it punishes people who are already integrated, working, and contributing to the society we all share. I am not against legal immigration, just slow it down so the infrastructure can support it and properly vet those who apply. The system for deportment currently employed in the US is far too hastened and imperfect for my liking but the lack-of-a-system (or heck, acknowledgement) that this is even an issue by the current and previous Canadian governments is equally as concerning (arguably more, other folks can debate the politics of it).

India must find a way to stop India's brain from flowing down into the drain asap. One option may be to remove DTAA & impose income tax on foreign gross income of Indian citizens, like the US (US citizens/GC holders are taxed on their worldwide income, regardless of where they reside), & build a world-class work environment in India with that tax amount, so that high-skilled Indian talents can return back to India to start start-up to develop app like WhatsApp/FB/Google/Amazon/MS/Meta (like China) or find suitable job/Business.

Don’t know about Canada, but in US, Indians are the richest ethnic groups. Canada does attract lesser skilled Indians. However, pretty sure Indians contribute more than their share of taxes. You guys can keep on hating but all the western countries need Indians as that’s where the population is. And people work hard. They are invited. >99% Indians immigrate legally. Employers choose Indian students over local Canadian students bc they only have to pay them half as much. The other half of their wages are paid by us tax payers through a subsidy program. As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. Also we need to end why our government allows lucrative hiring contracts overseas for cheaper positions in certain degrees and diplomas. In addition, why are all of our call centers placed all over the world. From Africa, south east Asia, South Asia. Those jobs can be available here. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. Employers should be aware of SINs before hiring people. I am also an immigrant, but my dad worked hard as a skilled worker to bring us here to Canada. I pay my duly taxes monthly and yearly. So I find it unfair when people work under the table. However, I've noticed that some students, who never attend their classes, end up in high positions with well-paying jobs at big companies. Meanwhile, I can't count how many refugees and immigrants are in low-income brackets, receiving 100% coverage for their medication and a monthly allowance from the government. In contrast, Canadian senior citizens still have to pay 20-30% of their medication costs and don't get the same privileges when it comes to their essentials. It frustrates me that the government makes our senior citizens suffer at retirement age, even after they've worked so hard for so many years. Yet they still struggle to pay for their own medication and necessities. I've encountered many rude refugees and people on income support from other countries who feel entitled to special treatment just because they are under government programs. Ironically, some of them come wearing luxury clothes and bags—like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. As I said, I am an immigrant too, but my heart goes out to those who have fully earned the support and benefits they deserve.

So ironic because I remember the days when my fellow Canadians were mad at the influx of well behaved, tax paying, money spending Chinese immigrants around 10-15 yrs ago. Sure they bought up a lot of real estate and contributed to the raising property values, but many of the Canadians benefited from that selling their property for amounts they never even imagined and they created a small economic boom in the GTHA. Yes in the 80’s as a new emigrants we had to work for our living. We never ever thought to get help from the government we are all integrated in to a Canadian society. We paid taxes from the day one that made us true Canadian citizens. Which I’m a very proud of. In my street two houses own by East Indians They don’t take care of their properties like us taking care of our property. Should I assimilate in to there’s way of life ? Or they should assimilate into our society? The answer to this question is very simple . Assimilate to our way of life or move back to India.

I’m a white American recently retired at 63. There are millions here and in Canada that are / will be collecting Social Security or the Canadian Equivalent. If we want those funds to be there in the future we absolutely MUST have immigration. In my family we had 11 girls born 1994-2006. Exactly 2 of these women are moms and they have 1 kid. That’s called population collapse. Any economy to continue prospering needs a continual supply of new workers paying taxes. White people ain’t doing it. Brampton has 27% Indian people so they're clearly not a majority but they are a majorly targeted group because of this prejudice. I don't have the Canadian numbers but in the US 6% of tax comes from Indians and they're 1% of the population. You don't have to trust me you can look it up. The motives of this look racist because when you try hiring white folks the retention rate is extremely low, these past 6 months I have seen 8 employees in managerial positions who quit less than 2 weeks and it's impossible to retain them no matter what salary you offer and then when you go hire an Indian they just don't quit and work harder. But again that's an anecdote, that doesn't mean white folks don't work hard. Everyone has different experiences so stop, putting half baked stuff out on the internet and stop embarrassing yourself.
