Im Canadian, I cant think of a reason I would be in the states for more then 30 days, but if so, I have no problem with this as we should be doing this in Canada as well. Too many criminals!

Honestly the batshit crazy comment reflects the #1 concern most Canadians have with the United States. We have conservatives and religious types but they're all more or less respectful and they don't try to control Canadian society. In comparison, at least a fifth of Americans are borderline fascists, and none of us want anything to do with those types of people. Since Trump took office they've become a hundred times worse, as now they're even threatening annexation. Sorry if it's hard to accept, but America has a serious problem right now, even if you're a good person.

Ive got no problem with LEGAL economic migration. Or coming as a refugee if you want to come here, work, and obey our laws then i am happy to welcome you. I wonder if we might make a shortcut in policy + create a border wall between New York City and the rest of the country. We could bus all the illegal aliens in the Northeast to New York City and let them have sanctuary there. Then just keep the whole glorious mess in the buroughs. Spot on. I left Canada because of all these issues. Any of my friends who are still there simply don’t understand that there’s a long term problem that has nothing to do with US tariffs. The country is weak, poorer than it needs to be, and not in a good spot due to focusing so much on real estate and immigration.

Please, this medication is a game changer for so many suffering daily in agony with chronic pain or deadly conditions. For those who need it medically, it is strictly controlled and monitored. Their is no logical relation of tariffs to fenatyl/drugs or immigration. How can a tariff solve the problem on fenatyl or immigration? I dont get it . Why not directly have solution to the problem rather than create another problem.

As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Both countries benefited from having a good relationship and now the great US has no one willing to challenge Mr Trump on this idiotic move, America is alienating themselves from a lot of countries and regular Americans are the ones who are going to suffer from this fall-out, the rich won't be affected but regular working class folks your stress is going to get a whole lot worse and that's unfortunate. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.
