Yeah, the majority here in Ontario are happy that the government is getting it under control, and unfortunately, the method is not fair. The missing parts of the report are: 1) the government has increased the number of permanent residency spots to convert temporary residents, but the increase is not proportionate. 2) The reason why we had an increase in temporary residents was because corporations (like Tim Horton's) lobbied the government to let in more temporary workers whom they can underpay and exploit, as the employees don't have as many rights. So now it is not surprising that they are lobbying against the changes.

Well, I'm gonna give you Canada Immigration an advice on how to catch these people and all those in other countries who has the same situation. These people are doing jobs like delivery like Uber, Skip, Doordash, etc., BUT...they are not using their legal name to apply for that instead they are using another person's account to do that job, whose account is legal and had been in the job for so many years. The connection between those people is not relevant to any gang or organizations but they operate like one, the advantage is both parties earn money while in their eyes is "legal". This is normal settings in my country(3rd world country), you have several taxis and you need to hire drivers to operate, its up to you if you're gonna hire legit drivers or not, the only difference is that the undocumented driver is cheaper. And how do I know these things, I work in a fastfood chain in Waterloo, you need to identify which order the driver will pickup and the delivery driver need to verify the order by the order number through the app but sometimes you can see the Account's photo is different from the delivery driver, so yeah, that's the gist of it. I have no idea why modern countries like Canada and America are so "dumb" or lack of critical thinking when it comes to crimes like this, but I guess people and politicians are the same all over the world. And now, they are bringing more people without checking their background, if there's any criminal record or such, oh yeah, speaking of that, how do you verify those records from another country if those records can be produced with 3rd party company in which an employee from a government institution is behind it to make it more look like it is legit.

Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? i have no hopes, i work every week, every day for years...and at end of each month i still do not have some reserve for myself...i am surviving, NOT living, i am working to make happy others, i am working to pay bills, rent, cards, studies, and yeah to buy some food to continue to work to make happy others. Economic of this country is going in the toilet...we can't live decent anymore and hope to make true the dream of having a house or a car. This video is horrible. I don't know what political angle is, but the real problems are very well known and have nothing to do with what you said. First, housing is incredibly difficult to build in Canada because of regulations and land title problems, I.e., you don't own that land, the indians do. On top of that, there is a constant influx of immigrant that require housing that doesn't exist. Children cry because they cannot leave their parents' houses because they can't move anywhere, so they can't find any jobs locally, and they're trapped. There is no will in the canadian government to change these immigration policies, to change the land rules so that people can own land and build houses, or do anything about their incredibly micro managed economy that makes it impossible to do anything. If so, yeah, they go to the US to have a future while Canada stagnants and dies.

Yeah the government is going hard after immigrants right now, which is good because there was a lot of abuse and the rate of immigration was far too high, but also it's not the root of the problem where housing is concerned. \n\nIn this way, immigrants are a scapegoat for the housing crisis. Now, you may think that worsening relations with India is a good thing for Canada, yeah no, its not good because India has trade relations with Canada which may worsen due to this (yeah, great going for an economy which is already in shambles) and UK or US are not gonna do anything to India over Canada because India geopolitically has more significance than Canada (I'm not bragging, please don't misunderstand). The problem is simple. If its an issue of cost of living, while its true that it is very high, its very high across the industrialized world. That is because the causes influencing cost of living are not related to inside Canada but are being influenced by foreign actors which Canada has no control over. The Ukraine-Russia War for example is causing increases to food costs which are not easily overcome. The situation in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel threatens to spiral into a regional war and that threatens the oil supply and the present price for oil and gas. The Houthi have been making it hard to traverse the Red Sea which is forcing shipping to travel around Africa rather than directly through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea meaning those additional fuel costs get transferred over to the consumer. As for housing, while efforts to cool housing markets have been made, Canada's housing market is still relatively hot meaning the prices remain high in big cities. Its like a perfect storm. Increased costs on mortgages are an attempt to push down inflation but in the short term you are going to feel that as well. Also we are living in a transition period as the world sinks back to the older model of trade before before Bretton Woods in 1947 which is leading to a decoupling of product lines that at one time coming from Asia were cheap but are not more expensive because they are being made back in the home countries. Transitions do come with a price. Finally, add taxes which help to deal with health care, social programs and government services like embassies, foreign missions and the army well yeah its a perfect storm.\n\nI hope you have luck where you end up but do not for a minute assume that the grass is greener on the other side. Even Japan which attempts to keep certain costs low, has been forced to increase its national consumption taxes to offset overall costs. It isn't going to get cheaper but more expensive as we move back to the old trade model. However, as the world weans itself off of the World Trade Organization and the IMF, the world also re-opens the potential to a Great Depression because that was the reason Bretton Woods appeared in the first place. The world isn't going to get better but far worse.

I'd say the problem isn't Indians or any immigrants, but the leeway that the government gives. The government doesn't even 'force' people to integrate. Yeah, all parties suck, but Trudeau made it worse. And also, just in recent years the policies are bad.

Yeah, I agree with you, I have friends that are Indians and never had a problem. If the liberal government had made sure that we had the number of houses to accept all these immigrants and they brought in the people we need and not trouble makers we wouldn't be seeing this problem.
