With the price of homes it was expected a long time ago that crime would explode. Even people with jobs are having a hard time to get a home. And the really good jobs like pilot, surgeon, long shoreman. Are really hard to get. Its no wonder crime is up. If the government doesnt address the price of homes or help make it easier to become a Surgeon so that we can be able to own a home. Crime will continue to tick upwards pretty sure. 70s home in Vancouver 4 bedroom is 1.9 million unrenovated old carpet old fixtures etc on a tight lot can easily see into neighbors house since its so close.

Canada is a collapsing country. I really hope that more would-be foreign workers consider that Canada operates more like a scam with their TFW program than anything else. It is not a guaranteed gateway into citizenship at all. Homes are too expensive, prices of everything in Canada keeps rising & rising, not enough jobs, declining birth rates, the usual issues facing most countries that do not produce any substantial products.

I work concrete, you know the majority of the new homes built that raised prices of houses was Indian investors. 1.5 million dollar homes. For 15 years straight. They control the housing in canada and are the reason we can't buy homes at affordable prices

🏡Indian real estate agents - 🚩please explain why almost all listings on RealtorD0Tca for Toronto, Canada are under Indian Real estate agents? They try to take over all real estate. They get a lot of homes through mortgage fraud (watch the CDC report), to rent out as rooming houses, and they are a big reason for the housing shortage.
Please do not buy from them if they are the selling agent. They are known to put harmful hidden clauses in the documents to get more money out of you than the list price, then you find out after the sale closes. They did this to one lady who bought her first home, and when the details were revealed AFTER closing, she had to file for BANKRUPTCY to clear her name and start her financial life again.
DO NOT do the deal if they are the selling agent, and NEVER sign any paperwork they give you. We call it P----i paperwork. Do not sign it. Period. If they are the selling agent, walk away. Please spread the word.
Their behavior is an ORGANIZED assault on the Canadian real estate and financial system, and it demands Canadians to deliver an organized response in rejection of this behavior. Boycott.

😑Housing crisis - they are a BIG reason for this. >>> Mortgage fraud - Watch the CDC report. They flooded Canada, try to snatch up all the houses through fraud and to rent out as rooming houses. This reduces available properties, and prices skyrocket. When you have tens of THOUSANDS of people in ONE community doing this, why are you scratching your head that there's a housing crisis?
Canada flung open the door to people from the scam capital of the world, and now when Canadian kids are polled, they're saying they're giving up on buying a house! Disaster.
Now, to fix the problem, you have to reduce their numbers to reduce demand, but reducing demand reduces home prices, so what about all those people who bought at inflated prices? Many homeowners are losing their shirts.
So now, to fix the problem, Canadians are enduring GENERATIONAL financial damage, that will take decades to fix, and some people may never recover from it.
I'm not against immigrants, but this particular group has devastated Canada with their greed and corruption.

I would love to see videos of how europeans are invading the global south. My home country Kenya, so many Europeans and Americans moving there. They are also moving to Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Cape town in large numbers. We haven't even talked about Vietnam, Thailand etc. I want to see these videos. How they are destabilising our prices. How cost of living is going up because all these white people are moving to our countries. Cheap healthcare, cheap and affordable cost of living, great cultures, amazing food, great parties, great beaches, amazing wildlife etc. I go to clubs in Kenya where the majority is white people. Working remote jobs, getting paid is dollars and euros and enjoying life in the global south countries. Make that video.

Canadian born and raised in a small northern town
Facts- they ruin the trucking industry, the dump truck industry, they run all the restaurant chains (want a taco, a red dot Indian will make it for you) my daughter got hired at Tim's ( cpl years back) the ONLY reason she got a second interview is because her first name can be easy Indian or Irish. They were calling her up she's standing there they couldn't understand how a white girl got hired. It's not ok. Even the non extreme ones do sympathize with extremist acts of terror on Christians. 70% have admitted this. When you listen to the news, 99% of the crimes - violent, assault, home invasions, women set ablaze on the subway... EVERY NAME IS NOT CANADIAN!!! sorry if you break the law , federal violent crimes or fraud GET THE F.O
5 years ago 1 store was bought by that group of people.... Within a year they were everywhere, and how they get to buy homes or business? Cuz they cheat the system. Living 20 in an apartment, running transports 24/7 letting unlicensed family members drive while they rest they cut open the seat to poop out the bottom while still clocking Kilometers while the Canadian guy follows rules. They undercut job prices safety is absent. We are getting outnumbered when we have paid into the system out whole lives. They come here get a welfare check get housing get all the cra benefits they never paid a dime into. It's bullshit we aren't happy and they gotta go

After finishing the video you asked why, and still didn't have an answer.
This is lazy of you. It is very easy to find the answer. The answer is economics, specifically capitalism and the welfare state.
In order for capitalism to function the best for asset owners, the economy must continue to grow. Company revenues, stock prices, home prices, assets in general. Also, the welfare state needs to have more younger workers paying into the system to cover welfare services for the elderly retired population.
Back in the 1950s, economists in Western countries realized their population demographics were inverting. Meaning, the elderly population was growing while the younger population growth rate was slowing down. This is the natural outcome of a wealthy educated society—the elderly live longer due to better healthcare and living conditions, and women tend to have fewer children as they spend more time in school and pursue a career, also families need fewer children compared to poor agrarian societies for various reasons.
As such, these economists advised the politicians to increase immigration. This was the way to get more workers in your country to prevent a slow deflationary spiral by increasing consumption, and increase the tax base. Bonus if you bring in STEM workers as economies are becoming more dependent on tech. Anyway that's your answer.

I'm no expert, but it's obvious that mass immigration is detrimental to any country. Years ago, Canada seemed like a dream country, but in the last few years, it looks like the homelessness, crime etc. has increased and the housing prices are insane. I have a Sikh friend who lived there for about 5 years but moved back to India due to the high cost of living and quality of life there going downhill. He has a much better, low stress life back home. I think there should be stricter measures to immigration. For example: Let doctors, nurses, engineers, lawyers in more easily, but those that are coming as students and going to work as cashiers, should be limited.

I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy.
I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees?
I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this and as long as I'm in charge, nobody is going to knock it down.” I hope the clownish weakling politicians in Canada (and, in much of the western world nowadays) can be enlightened a little bit.

They come here and spend as little money as possible, live 5 families to one house, buy property to rent to their own at cheap prices and straight up say in the ads that only Indians accepted. They send any extra money they make back home. They are literally taking over and our government is allowing it. How is this good for our economy?
|

Your enemy isn't the brown people. It's the 1% that brought in millions to suppress wages. A lot of these Indians are victims. They have come here with massive debt. They'll be in debt for the rest of their lives.
A certain class of people wanted tax revenue from all these immigrants, wanted rents to keep going up and wanted home prices to climb during a global pandemic.
The majority of the Indians are not criminals. But yea, racists gonna racist

These immigrants are making life harder for regular Canadians in multiple ways. They often live and work without any legal documentation, supported by landlords and employers who are complicit in these illegal arrangements. This leads to unsafe housing conditions and unregulated workplaces. On the roads, many pay Indian-owned driving schools to bypass the proper tests, and then drive without registration or insurance, contributing to hit-and-runs, unsafe roads, and higher insurance
premiums for everyone.
In housing, the high number of newcomers increases demand, driving up prices and making it harder for Canadians to afford homes. In employment, corporations like "Singh" Hortons prefer hiring these workers who will accept lower pay, no benefits, and longer, illegal shifts, leaving Canadian youth with fewer job opportunities.
Overall, these practices are making life significantly harder for regular Canadians.

Is Stopping them from coming in, not the easiest answer? Give back the part time jobs to Canadian teens so they can afford to go to school and send home the 8 million immigrants that came into the country during the time of Trudeau and Carney. This will lower cost of housing, right now it takes 5 people on minimum wage to afford a 1 bedroom apartment and we wonder why we have so many people living on the streets. This will open jobs lower prices on food and allow the future generation to afford a a home.

Truth China India people come into Canada to buy up homes with their money that’s not from Canada or errand the Government need to stop this from a Canadian first to buy my own house in a land where I was born they up the house prices and have no respect for Canada

The birth rate slowed because of a corrupt Liberal government who priced everyone out of their homes. Canadians are not bringing new babies into a world when they are broke and taxed to death. We can't justify adding another mouth to feed when we can't afford to feed the mouths that are here now. And they are not importing to sustain the population....they are importing votes to stay in power. The Liberal mantra...."Fuck Canadians!!! Do what we need to do to stay in power". Immigrant to votes ratio is 1:1.

Born here too and yes Canada has changed for the worst I'm not racist either but I do notice there is less jobs and less homes and dirt messy places too! Like Vancouver not the island even Burnaby has changed it uses to be peaceful and now it's full of crime and I was born there! I no longer live there and everything has changed my old home gone😢 the beautiful trees gone😢 and like you said the issue with the price hike freaking killing us on disability, my family all adults have to buy noodles which if you have heartburn issues is a no no but it's cheap and the 1 thing we can afford but iits cause us to need the doctor to give us medication for heartburn. The good food like rice is almost 3 dollars a bag in knorrs that gives you 1 meal.. we can't afford that, hence why we go to snack isle because you could get a 3 dollar snack that will last you way longer than the other.. I'm always worrying.

Canada is being ruled by a globalist criminal cartel. Arrest the traitors in Ottawa.
Vancouver BC has truly become a hub of transnational organized crime and our government seems blithely unopposed at best, a criminal participant most likely.
Seriously, its looking more and more like elements within the Canadian federal government are complicit in importing Fentanyl for money laundering and housing bubble purposes, and tangentially, our government therefor has chosen to make Canada part of a supply chain that involves cartels, Triads, the CCP, and kills a ungodly amount of Americans and Canadians. Literal organized crime money laundering and the government has been *encouraging* it since the 80s and its largely why our houses are now insane prices.
I'm not being facetious when I argue that Vancouver is the frontlines for the modern Opium War the CCP is waging on The West. Look up Vancouvers Downtown Eastside. Our government is complicit with Cartels and the CCP in importing Fentanyl as it's used in the real estate money laundering business dubbed 'The Vancouver Model'.
"The Vancouver Model mixes legal and illicit cash, such as that from fentanyl sales. The pooled money is then used to buy high-end real estate, funded by capital flight and casino high rollers. The real estate is then used as a sort of deposit, helping to feed the insatiable need for luxury real estate.
The more fentanyl sold, the more luxury real estate is needed. It doesn’t matter how big it is, it just needs to be expensive. Diabolical, but genius. Maybe Canada should consider fentanyl deaths a market fundamental?"
-Sam Cooper’s book, Wilful Blindness: How A Network of Narcos, Tycoons and CCP Agents Infiltrated The West.
The federal government opposes efforts to secure our ports. We literally don't have law enforcement that checks incoming containers; anything and everything can flow through our ports unhindered. fentanyl, human trafficking, nobody knows. Deltaport has no port police, not even 1 / 100 containers are scanned. The Mayor of Delta BC has been demanding security at Deltaport for ages and it's not being done why?
"A recent U.S. congressional report argues that the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) strategy relies less on overt military actions and more on covert tactics, including trafficking of fentanyl and leveraging money laundering, aimed at exploiting vulnerabilities across social, economic, and health domains. "Fentanyl precursors are manufactured in China and shipped to Mexico and Canada. For precursors that arrive in Mexico, Chinese transnational mafias work with Mexican cartels to smuggle and distribute fentanyl in the United States on behalf of the CCP," the report states. "The DEA confirmed Chinese transnational crime leaders hold government positions in the CCP and indicated that Chinese transnational crime organizations are dedicated to the CCP." "The public deserves to know about the CCP’s role in fentanyl production and how the Party is using fentanyl as a chemical weapon to kill Americans," the report adds. It recommends that Washington publicly "blame the CCP as much as the DEA and its partners currently blame the Sinaloa Cartel" for fentanyl trafficking and urges the government to "educate international allies about CCP chemical warfare" and encourage them to condemn Chinese transnational crime. According to congressional investigations, Beijing is actively incentivizing the export of fentanyl and methamphetamine worldwide. The report alleges that Chinese criminal organizations, including Triads led by individuals with official positions in the CCP, are working alongside Mexican cartels to generate profit to fund interference operations in America."
-Sam Cooper The Bureau substack.
Now we have a probable Epstein associate in power (Carney has multiple family members listed in Epsteins little black book). Our 'elected' leaders in Canada are so deep in the globalist billionaires pockets that he even the Liberal half of the "2" party system are okay with selling out Canada to transnational oil and gas globalist megacorps.
PPs CPC and Carneys LPC both seem to have forgotten these are the same people / megacorps that poisoned us with Leaded gasoline; still poison us with hexane, and all sorts of pollution they are allowed to store in the air we breath.
Why should the taxpayer pay for their infrastructure? Yet you can't NOT vote for oil and gas. Green gets a good amount of the popular vote but never any power because Canada rigs every election with FPtP. Its how the "2" party system maintains control forever.
Trudeau was elected with a promise to end fossil fuel tax subsidies but they're over $20+ Billion Canadian taxdollars now (before the $80billion negative externalities), and he obviously broke that promise, probably because the oil and gas industry and their cronies wouldn't let him. Why does an anti-oil and gas politician flip so hard? Money, Blackmail maybe. Epstein - we won't know because our governments don't seem to care to actually investigate it, for legitimate witch hunt reasons perhaps, but there is evidence suggesting that Israeli intelligence is/was running a blackmail operation on powerful people throughout NATO (check out Daryl Coopers MartyrMade podcast on Epstein). we need to force much, much more transparency in government.
Its the same throughout NATO. Here in Canada Trudeau was just the 'fall guy' for the various corporate industrial complexes that own our politicians through lobbyists. The oil and gas industrial complex (remember when Trudeau promised to end fossil fuel tax subsidies and instead tax subsidies to this private, for-profit industry with titanic negative externalities, only increased to over $20,000,000,000 (billions of dollars in a nationstate of millions)), the cable industrial complex, the mining, fishing, forestry, and other resource extraction industrial complexes, the military industrial complex (not just in Canada, but all of NATOs military industrial complex has too strong of an influence over our politics). These are all owned by a relatively small group of billionaires. We, the people, are all getting poorer while the rich get richer; our civilization in "The West" is sick, and the corrupt actions of many arms of our corporate industrial complexes and their Oligarch owners are not a symptom, but the foundation of the sickness. Our political parties are owned by them, our prisons, our food industries are the same people that used to own Cigarette companies, its incestuous how small this group is becoming. They'll put Lead in the gasoline AND milk next time we stop forcing these profit driven asshole corporations to act ethically.
Some billionaires are cool. Some industries NEED regulation. We want industry, but we ship logs unprocessed out of the province all the time, we WANT forestry corporations that nurture a forest that 7 generations down the road can still be harvesting, instead we get clearcuts and insane levels of topsoil erosion. Old Growth 99.99% gone and still going. Vast swaths of land are now Pine monocrops where 'forests' once were. Why do we think our forests burn every summer now? dead monocrops, like the potato famine but with pine beetles. profit driven megacorporations are fucking Canada and convince us all to vote them in each election cycle because everyone is 'strategically' voting their favourite half of these same industries back into power generation after generation.
These transnational corporations only care about money, and they use 'us vs them' narratives like 'identity politics' to divide us into 2 political parties, which they own both of, and market these two 'options' as the only alternative to each other, thereby staying in power forever.
PP - a globalist tool of transnational Oil and Gas megacorporations
Carney - a globalist tool of transnational Banking megacorporations.
2 sides of the same global coin. Canada was cooked regardless of who won.
Welcome to the New Canada - Cartelanada? with a 2 party system where both sides are owned by the same people (globalist billionaires, not any ethnicities that may come to mind) through untraceable chains of 'lobbyists' and shell companies.
They will strip Canada of all resources as fast as possible, they will strip our bank accounts of all value as fast as possible, and they'll continue to flood our country with more than 1.2 MILLION immigrants a year while not building homes. The Cons would not have fixed this, because they are the other side of the same coin. Imigration can be done ethically, where it doesn't supress wages and crank up home prices, alas, Canada doesn't seem to care about the current generations being able to afford homes or kids, and chooses to literally replace our families with immigrants. To emphasize, the traitors in Ottawa are to blame for this, not people seeking a better life who are being trapped in the same dystopian poverty drug addled nightmare as countless people born here, in what *should* be one of the wealthiest nationstates to ever grace the Spaceship Earth.
The system is both broken and stolen; only small party votes were votes for Canada - voting for either the Cons or Libs was just voting in the same transnational globalist corporations as always. we've all been brainwashed by the biggest propaganda game in politics - 'strategic' voting.
Thanks for coming to my -hyperautist- ted talk

Canada's immigration system has lowered the bar big time. What happened to their mandate after '67 that was supposed to be focused on permitting entry to only skilled immigrants? Now, they're letting any immigrant with a pulse come in. As a result, rents and housing prices have skyrocketed, and now the average Canadian can no longer afford to buy a home. Of course, it doesn't help that the government got out of the homebuilding business decades ago; big mistake. Our government has done this country a huge disservice.

Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. I'm sick of guns but just about every household owns guns. Children are killed in their own homes with guns. Who cares about alcohol being sold in their state. Honestly. People are homeless because of addiction to alcohol. Yeah saying president Trump using fentanyl for this for this trade war was a bad move. President Trump is doing this for the drugs taking over this country.

Canada’s 25% Tariffs? A Win for American Businesses in the Long Run\n\nAt first glance, Canada slapping a 25% tariff on U.S. goods might seem like a negative for America. But in reality, this move could actually work in our favor by making the U.S. economy stronger, more self-sufficient, and less dependent on foreign markets.\n\t1.\tBoosting American Manufacturing & Production – When Canada makes U.S. goods more expensive with tariffs, American businesses have a huge opportunity to shift focus to domestic markets and new trade partners. This could bring more production back home and reduce reliance on Canada.\n\t2.\tEncouraging Trade Diversification – The U.S. isn’t limited to Canada. If they want to play hardball, we can expand exports to other countries with fewer trade restrictions. Canada makes up about 15% of U.S. exports, but the rest of the world is wide open. This is a chance to diversify and strengthen our economy.\n\t3.\tMaking Canada Pay More for U.S. Goods – Tariffs don’t just hurt exporters—they also raise costs for Canadian consumers. If Canada wants American products, they’ll end up paying more or have to settle for alternatives that might be lower quality or more expensive from other countries.\n\t4.\tStrengthening America’s Negotiating Position – If Canada wants to raise tariffs, that gives the U.S. even more leverage in future trade talks. The U.S. economy is far larger and more powerful than Canada’s, and in the long run, they need us more than we need them.\n\t5.\tReducing America’s Trade Deficit – If fewer goods are exported to Canada, that means more products stay in the U.S. This helps lower dependence on foreign markets and could even stabilize prices for American consumers.\n\nBottom Line: Canada’s Move Hurts Them More Than It Hurts the U.S.\n\nIf Canada wants to put tariffs on U.S. goods, let them. In the long run, it pushes America to be more self-reliant, strengthens our industries, and forces Canada to pay the price for their own policies.\n\nAt the end of the day, America has the stronger economy, better resources, and more trade options—Canada needs U.S. trade more than we need theirs. If they want to make American goods more expensive, they’ll feel it a lot more than we will.

Trump did this to cause disinflation. Too many consumptions and too many cheap Chinese products in the market. Business owners are profiting at an all time high taking advantage of this inflation. Trump's move may cause short-term pain but there it will help your wallets in the long term including home prices and rates. Trump aim is to bring down interest rates basically.

Why is this dude still representing Canada? \n\nTwo months ago many of his key cabinets members resigned because Justin’s policies are destroying Canadians. Rightfully, he resigned. Dude needs to go away. Stop making Canada worse than what it has become under his horrendous leadership.\n\nThings happening:\n\nThe massive influx of foreigners, both legally and illegally into Canada.\n\nAffordable housing for native Canadians do not exist, people are leaving the country.\n\nHi mortgage payment or monthly rent are too high.\n\nFood prices are not coming down.\n\nSalaries are not keeping up with inflation.\n\nThe Canadian dollar keeps tanking.\n\nAs the leader of the country, he’s doing nothing to stop increasing violent crime.\n\nIncreasing amount of drugs in cities and suburbs.\n\nFinally, he’s pledging billions of dollars to Ukraine, when that money is needed at home.\n\nJustin is too emotional to deal with Trump.\n\nTrump complains about the trading balance between the two nations, $100 billion in favor of Canada.\n\nThe request is simple, import more American products, or export less products to America. But the imbalance has to stop.\n\nSame with Mexico, trading balance with Mexico is almost $200 billion in favor of Mexico. The imbalance has to stop. \n\nThe US economy is bleeding by trading with allies and partners, it’s fighting for its financial wellbeing. It is not some bs from the orange man, it is real.\n\nOf course Canada, Mexico, Europe and others want business as usual… and why wouldn’t they? ?

The US isn't launching a trade war against anyone. We are closing up shop and are getting ready to take care of our own. There is a massive difference. We cannot be expected to continue supporting other countries economies and defense obligations, when we have 2 generations of working class citizens unable to afford a home or have children. We have entire countries we could fill with the homeless and incarcerated, and veterans who see little to no positive treatment or respect within the job market. Things are already very very bad here in the states. I don't think many Americans realize how bad the economy is. Tariffs will force US companies to reduce the outsourcing of jobs, and force other countries who are over-reliant on trade from the States, to cultivate their own self-sufficiency. This may seem hypocritical when it comes to China, but that isn't a problem you can solve overnight. \n\nTo make it clear, Americans are going to suffer in the wake of this tariff decision, but that is the price we pay to force ourselves to change. We have made ourselves into a very weak country because of overreliance on other countries trade, and other countries overreliance on our intelligence, infrastructure, medical advancements, technological advancements, and defense capabilities. The american consumer and taxpayer front the bills for all of this, and they are suffering. This isn't a war on the rest of the world. It us telling everyone else that we can no longer be relied upon because we are weak. \n\nI didnt' even vote Trump the first two times he ran. But things have now gotten so bad that I was forced into voting for him this time. Why? Because he's a bull in a china shop. I expect him to tear every damn thing apart he can within our government. I want everything destroyed so it can be rebuilt by people who aren't complacent.

Trump went against the trade deal that he made with Canada and Mexico when he renegotiated the existing deal during his first term. Trump called his deal with them beautiful and perfect. Trump does not keep the deals he makes to other countries or to the Americans who voted for him. \n\nTrump's final push in his campaign was to cut costs for Americans at the checkout, chuckling at the strange sound of the word 'groceries' to him. He has never worried about or dealt with buying groceries. The moment he got back into office, he said that lower prices wasn't happening and that the American people would suffer. \n\nThen he and Republicans began cuts in jobs and government services to Americans as well as others in the world, so that no one can trust Trump --- and in the case of others in the world, it reflects so bad on the U.S. and against any trust in the U.S. anymore. No president has ever done so much damage at home and abroad so quickly. \n\nTrump is the Deceiver and the Destroyer. Trump doesn't care if his voters figure it out. They are no longer needed.

Average Canadian home price as of Jan 2025 $720,000, 9 Years as Prime Minister before Trumps first term. People eating up the gibberish ad if he isnt a key figure why Canadas economy and living cost skyrocketed before trump. He couldn't even fix ut when Biden was in office.

Congratulations Mr. Trudeau, you finally sound like our Prime Minister should. Now start making this country self sufficient so we don't have to rely on anyone. No more selling off our Crown corporations our land and other businesses to foreign countries. Keep Canada Canadian and give jobs to born Canadians first. Stock pile our oil and gas for our use and lower the prices of these things so that transportation cost make things easier for business and personal enjoyment. Don't tax the farmer so that they can supply food to everyone cheaper. We should not be struggling in this country which has all the natural resources . The unnatural population growth has put a strain on the whole system and in some cases put us in danger too. The crime rate has increased in large part to your lax immigration system. All the businesses increased the prices of everything due to this unnatural population growth. Supply and demand is not working the way it is supposed to anymore. In a normal household we make plans and prepare for changes. You just said ok, let's bring people here and forgot about the preparations. Infrastructure first man. If your going to bring half a million people over here, build the houses first bro. Nobody in Canada should be homeless which is another result of poor preparation. The housing prices and everything else went through the roof in large part due to the unnatural population growth. Anyway, think first before you act just like in a private home. Good luck Mr. Trudeau and everyone else. I hope it's not too late to get this country back on track so we can all enjoy life the way we used to....Peace

According to Ritter Ukraine has already signed over rights to rare earth to UK. There was an article in a Czech newspaper talking about this leak. \nIs this why Starmer won't stop. \nWell some analyst believe UK is on the precipice of collapse. I agree.\nI believe the #1 priority of Trump is the US dollar and BRICS competition.\nUS plan to address $34 Trillion debt is to digitize the countries assets. Ex. Anwar, national parks, Infrastructure etc. This is the reason for the new land grab (aka resources grab) . The ones with the resources rule. China has known this for at least 20 years \nThink of the U.S. valuated as a investment ie. look at their balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. \nSimple valuation assets-liabilities=equity\nTaking this type of valuation $34 Trillion debt is peanuts.\nNow apply similar analysis to England.\nNo assets , little industry (aka income) or cash flow. \nI know many want a true multipolar world but I think it will be more spheres of influence dominated by China, US, Russia. The supper powers are positioning for the resources. The world has changed. \nI think the US Democrats will organize to harass Trump and his initiatives in an attempt to take back Congress in the midterms. Their only option. Going to get very nasty. (Harris poll from last weekend Trump favorability 58%)\nNow for Trump's tariffs . They are working already. Several tech companies have announced new factory plans for US. It all relates to Corporate Income taxes. It's about transfer pricing where they pay no Corporate income taxes in US.\nTransfer pricing For example:\nApple iPhone manufacture an iPhone in China for $300. They sell it to an Apple subsidiary call it Apple international located in a low tax or no tax domicile for $300. So No income tax. Say they sell it to Apple USA for $700 . No taxes owed by Apple international . Apple USA sells it in US for $700. Bought it for $700 = no taxes owed. BUT APPLE CLEARED $400 CASH. \nThat's with no tariffs. Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.

While I don’t agree with Trumps tariffs, I understand why he’s doing them. As a Canadian citizen, please don’t glamorize Trudeau- hes a spoiled rotten brat of a former PM. Nothing more. You’ve not lived the last 10 years under his totalitarian govt, suspending the rights of Canadians at will, insulting and dividing our country at will, taking away legal firearms owners rights rights at will (people who had to pass safety courses and are more vetted than RCMP officers). \n\nHe’s proven to be more fake than a $3 dollar bill. All the liberal & ndp’s in Canada are. He has the worst record in Canadian history as a PM, including the highest taxes, home prices, massive, unsustainable immigration, and the worst healthcare crisis in Canada’s socialized medical system since its inception. \n\nHe’s accumulated more debt than all previous PM’s COMBINED (as per the PBO). \n\nThen he comes on here after he resigned on Jan.6th - yes after cratering Canada’s economy methodically for the last 10 yrs - to inflame the POTUS and who will pay for that? Canadian and American working class citizens. \n\nIf you think Canada is so great, you’re either a wealthy boomer, or have no clue what it’s like to work for a living in this modern economy in Canada. People are required to work 2-3 jobs just to afford the basics. Wages have been stagnant since the 90’s here, with cost of living rising 600-700% in the last 10 yrs.

From Germany: Trump wants as a benefit no taxes for companies in USA. The price for his household have to pay by duties from other countries. Drugs and so on are no real argue, he is saying only for his people at home. Now the inflation growing up all in the world and he wants to drop it, ha! Thats so silly! Or Moskau guided him.. On a long term, he shoot his country in his own knie!

Let me explain the trading relationship briefly that occurs between Canada and the US for context.
\n
\nCanada Has a LOT of natural resources, more than our domestic manufacturing base needs (Uranium fuel, Lumber/paper products, Steel and other metals, Fertilizer for farms...etc). Therefore we sell those raw materials to the states where they are manufactured into goods, which we then buy back. a LOT of American service companies like tech, media (And yes, even banks)...etc also operates in Canada as well. (For the auto sector the parts flip back and forth across the border like 8 times)
\n
\nThis relationship alone has the American economy see a large trade surplus with Canada, however there is another element to it: Energy.
\n
\nCanada is also home to a LARGE amount of really cheap renewable hydro power in the east, and a LOT of oil in the west, due to a lack of infrastructure we really can only sell that oil to the states and therefore it is done at a discount. America refines this cheap oil into gas and is a large part of the reason why American gas is so cheap. They use this energy to power the same factories mentioned above. (Oh and also the NE states import a lot of that clean hydro electricity for the same reasons)
\n
\nThe US Buys SO MUCH of that cheap energy from us to power your industrial base, that it swings the numbers on the trade balance into a small deficit for the USA. (41 billion out of a TRILLION dollars total trade, or about -4.1% of total trade so literally a pretty small deficit) It also swing back and forth every year so
\n
\nThen comes Trump. He wants Canada as a 51st state and own the entire continent, therefore he manufactures an excurse that our border is leaky and that migrants and fentanyl are flowing over. (In actual case migrants and the flow of Fent is about 1% the amount that's crossing at the Mexico border but he needs an excuse)
\n
\nHe therefore puts 25% tariffs on us. Those tariffs will hit Canada harder than the 2008 financial crisis just for scale.
\n
\nOh and also for the most part American Refineries literally cant process any other oil than ours or Venezuela's because its thicker so tariffs on our oil will also really increase the priced of energy in the states by a huge amount just for the LOLs. As we've seen during the post covid recovery, since gas is priced in to the supply chain at every step (Manufacturing, transportation...etc), any increase at the pump will snowball into higher costs for everything at the store, on top of the extra cost of the tariffs on consumers. (Since every step will need to add it into their markup.)

Stop foreign ownership of Canadian homes, it invites rest of world to use our limited Real estate as an investment and drive up the prices. Stop government unions power....so many unneccessary positions and fat, with full job protection and generous pension plans that grow more and more with every new contract. Thats why we are un productive.

Very good summary. I will add that our I know you wanted to be concise and you nailed it. For anyone who is curious about how our politics make everything worse for us federally, let me explain it in a short time.\n\nTrudeau as of the day of this video, March 3, 2025, is STILL the PM. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

A thought experiment:\nImagine that the Canadian government was given a magic technology that could build five million new homes overnight and assign them by lottery to people who didn't currently own a home.\nWould the government push the button to build the homes and give them to people who needed a home?\nNope. It would not.\nWhy?\nBecause the price of existing houses and apartments in Canada would drop by at least 50% overnight. And in our new, insane, everything-is-financialized, asset-prices-are-the-most-important-thing world, that would be deemed unacceptable.\nJust chew on that for a moment: we have a society, an economy, a governing and property owning class, that would prefer to forego the incredible quality of life increases for the population of magicking 5 million homes into existence, than to lose the valuations of a resource that is so scarce that demand grossly outstrips supply.\nWe live in a world of utter madness.

As a home owner (with a mortgage) and nearing retirement, my first reaction is that I want housing prices to remain high so I can get the most from my house when I downsize. \nHowever, my house sale is so I can downsize into a home that I can buy outright with the money I get from selling my bigger current house. If my house value goes down, I would be OK as long as the price that I would pay from a smaller home also goes down. I want to live in a home that would have no mortgage. I will only get the minimum income in retirement so I need to be in a home without a mortgage payment, if at all possible.

Housing affordability is an issue in Canada, and many, many Western countries. The paradox is: for homes to be more affordable, homeowners would have to, or be forced to, sell at a lower price than today's price. Why should current homeowners give up the equity in their homes so that someone else can afford it?

As someone living in Canada... I actually don't feel much of the things mentioned in the video. Sure, wages are not growing as fast as it can, but as someone who managed to purchase a home *before* the bubble started to expand, I'm living steady right now.\n\nWhat is REALLY causing a large part of the social and economic issues is actually the fact that provinces are NOT expanding new towns and cities in the millions of kilometers that needs to grow. Everyone is moving into cities, including refugees and new immigrants, which is driving up local prices and demand for everything. A few years ago, there were literally news of townships outside of the major cities offering houses and land for $50 per acre if people move to those towns and live there. \n\nCanada's biggest (heh) advantage is how much land it has. It's biggest weakness is how little comparative population it has. The worst problem is the concentration of population in like 6 keys cities throughout the entire country. If more people who complain about housing or social issues were willing to move outside of the major cities, they wouldn't have those problems.

Your narrative about existing homeowners being in opposition to policies that support home construction is bogus. \n\nThe real story is the following:\n\n1. Canadians are unsure whether building more homes leads to more housing and lower prices. This might sound like a joke but there are now surveys that confirm this. And most Canadians I have asked myself really are unsure whether we should build more homes.\n2. Endless bureaucratic barriers increase the cost of and deter new construction.\n\n\nMany Canadians really believe that building housing increases the price of housing, so they think they are being virtuous when they vote for policies that deter housings construction.\n\nAll of the other economic problems are downstream of the housing shortages.\n\nEdit: For those of you curious about these strange Canadian beliefs, the youtube “About Here” has a decent video on the topic trying to dispel the odd beliefs: https://youtu.be/pbQAr3K57WQ?si=j5l_vWiudz45fiGr

The analogy is like this:\n This is like 2 mom and pop hardware stores serve a rural community (Mexico and Canada) in harmony. Now Home Depot comes in with lower prices and better selections. The small business owner looses out to the dismay of the community.
