Immigrants causing tax payers money should be a felony criminal charge. If you enter a country illegally, it should be a felony.

How are these people getting there? In the 1990s, as a white European from Slovakia, I wanted to visit Canada purely as a tourist. I had no intention of staying, working, or immigrating. At that time, we still needed a visa to enter Canada. To obtain a visitor visa, I had to provide: A valid passport A completed visa application form Passport photos Payment of the visa fee A letter of invitation (if visiting someone) or a basic travel plan Proof of sufficient financial funds (bank statements for several months) Proof of employment (employment letter confirming my job and approved leave) Pay slips or proof of regular income If self-employed: business registration and tax documents Proof of property ownership (if applicable) Evidence of strong ties to Slovakia (family, job, studies, business) Sometimes a criminal record check Confirmation that I had no prior immigration violations

It's an invasion. This is an industry in India- to get people into Canada/West. They scam, lie, and cheat their way in. We need to remove the criminals first, then go after the fraud (fake diploma mills, fake refugee status) fine them, imprison them, then deport and ban them from entering again. Canada’s immigration system is being exploited by many international students, temporary workers, illegal immigrants, and even tourist visa holders. IRCC is now granting repeated extensions on tourist visas. Why are they allowing these extensions? What are these individuals expected to do in Canada for years? Many tourist visa holders have been in Canada for several years — not necessarily because they refuse to leave, but because IRCC keeps extending their status. Some of these individuals end up working illegally, taking jobs from Canadian youth and citizens, and adding pressure to the housing market. The increasing numbers of asylum claimants, international students, temporary work permit holders, tourist visa holders, and undocumented individuals are placing strain on Canada and its citizens. IRCC needs to strictly follow the law and enforce regulations. If not, Canada’s immigration system will continue to be exploited, and abusive individuals or even criminals could find it easier to enter the country.

Government failure TIME AND TIME AGAIN. You let an influx of immigrants all at once, fail to do proper checks on who enters the country, fail to get rid of criminals from the country. But oh! In the US there are up to 500k illegal Indian immigrants, all of whom are criminals because they either entered the country illegally or purposely and knowingly overstayed their visa, or they were working illegally under a student visa! I have nothing against Indians or Punjabis. Every culture has its good and not so good. The biggest issue is the Indian government warned that Canada is taking in many scammers and criminals with false documents and Canada not only made them welcome but also let them enter politics, police, government positions many with just PR and not even citizenship holders. How can an India citizen with Canadian Residency work as a customs officer or police with no Canadian citizenship?

Indian Foreign minister Jaishankar himself told that the Canadian govt is not vetting the ppl being given the visas. It is a massive corruption racket involving politicians, lawyers, business owners, diploma mill colleges, consultants, and even banks in foreign countries. On many hindu festivals or birthdays, my family donates or leaves food at the superstore Food Bank. we don't check who is taking it. Always paid taxes, that's my responsibility not doing any favor. Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. All the deportees should be arrested on reaching back home for invading a foreign sovereign country and tarnishing the images of hundreds of millions of citizens of their countries who enter the USA or any other developed democratic country to study at the best of the universities, and after completion of the courses, they are not only provided the best of the jobs but also citizenship or other legal status to stay put in the countries. But these people reach their desired destination after going through rigorous educational and other processes and after a thorough background check. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

What I don't understand is how are they getting TO Canada? Are they flying into Canada? Doesn't Canada have immigration and Customs officers at the airports to turn around anyone who doesn't have a visa for entering? My issue is the invasion will never completely stop. They will try anything to get back in here. There are so many millions of people who want to come here and they will never stop trying. Deport and they just come back later. Dangerous criminals will always find money to facilitate getting back here. \nWe may need to take a large area of an unpopulated western state and turn it into a prison (and nice neighborhoods for all the employees needed to run everything) for anyone who enters illegally. Since the border is so vast, the method of deterrence has to be based on psychology. If the penalty for crossing the order illegally is horrendous, they will stop attempting to cross. Possible penalties:\n\n1. Automatic 2-10 years hard labor in confinement with no possibility of parole. No possibility of ever entering the US again legally after release, even as a tourist. Conditions of confinement must be necessarily strict and without recreational activities. \n2. Death penalty if human trafficking or drug trafficking.\n\nPenalties apply to asylum seekers as well as migrants.\n\nIf we want to stop the behavior, we have to criminalize it.

The problem with NY doing that is that these criminals eventually spill out over into NJ and we don’t want them either! I sincerely don't understand why people have an issue with people who came here illegally getting deported. It's not at all racially motivated or discrimination. Whether they are serious criminals or just entered illegally - it is not right for them to be here, or be provided services paid for by tax paying Americans. As an educated American citizen, If I want to move to UK or European countries I have to jump through many hoops, prove I have my own money to support myself, and possibly meet a language requirement. Why is it that we just accommodate anyone who wants entry to USA? It baffles me. I have friends all upset about deportations and it's ridiculous. I can't understand why we bother to have any laws if we don't enforce them? I have 2 family members who immigrated here LEGALLY.
