trump wants to be a dictator & nazi in lock step with putin!!! Trudeau is a sane kind democrat! I celebrate you for the wonderful & beautiful Canada!

You people from XYZ are really like the EU hypocrites that all you got is words. As a Canadian, I hate Trudeau and everything his government has done to the country. I want a PM like Trump that is willing go against the entire system(deep state) and dig out all the dirt even though you're in the way of a lot of powerful people and organizations. Out of all the world leaders today, Trump is the only one with that kind of courage. Compare that to Trudeau—aside from his nice suits and polished public image, what has he actually done to improve the lives of Canadians? \nWe need a DOGE go into WHY WE ARE PAYING SO MUCH TAXES. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... For years we cannot retain any talents because they would just migrate to the states because the pay is much higher with less taxes. I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. That is not the case anymore and everything is getting worse in the past 10 years.

We believe Canadian leaders like Mr. Trudeau. As Americans,we have been abused for years by Trump,who is his own kind of terrorist, using deceit,treachery and cruelty. Millions of us are resisting,protesting and praying to restore a place among our allies in other countries and in the United States.

My heart hurts watching this. As an American, I respect and agree with Prime Minister Trudeau. Canada has been a kind and generous ally, and our current government leaders are just coming up with excuses for this stupid ass trade war. \n\nI am so sorry to all the Canadian citizens whom this negatively impacts. I hope you will show grace to those of us who voted against Trump and who continue to stand up to this tyrant.

I’m a NEVER Trumper. A ?in a red state. Trump does not represent me nor my morals and convictions. I was physically ill watching him and his pup Vance absolutely bully President Zelenskyy. I’m sorry that this is what half of the country voted for. I’m disgusted that I had family and friends who refused to see him for who he is. I’m so sorry to all those who didn’t vote for him yet we will also be aligned with him. I greatly appreciate you Prime Minister Trudeau. CNN - What kind of language does Donald Trump use when addressing elected representatives of the respected global community? He resorts to belittling, mocking, taunting, and even threatening individuals with alarming ease, seemingly without any sense of shame or restraint.\n\nPrime Minister Trudeau conducted himself as a gentleman, consistently speaking in a respectful and dignified manner. In contrast, Donald Trump often demonstrates a lack of morals, manners, etiquette, and ethical principles, which is truly shameful.

Please keep in mind, that all the issues we have in Canada are because of Trudeau. He's been in power for almost a decade. The widespread drug abuse and crime is because of him being weak on policy and handing out drugs like candy paid by tax payers. More people died from fentanyl in Canada than our soldiers in WWII. That is all on his watch. He is only making these changes because of Trump. What kind of a leader is Trudeau to only become Canada first when a person from outside the country threatens him? He is a horrible leader and a traitor to the Citizens and the Country we call Canada. Regardless of what his speech is, he cannot be trusted with his globalist agenda. He has stepped down (thank goodness!!) and Canada is looking forward to having Pierre Poilievre as our PM.

I really believe that it just comes down to Trump feeling resentment that he will never be part of a perceived 'inner circle' of establishment world leaders. It's probably over that one time when they were caught on a hot mic dissing him with Trudeau kind of leading the pack. Over the years Trump has shown over and over again that he is that petty and all of his decisions have an absolutely childish basis, yet the American people voted him in a second time. I've run out of patience with the American people too. They're not really doing anything about this except saying online that they support Canada just so they can feel a little better about themselves. If you guys want a dumpy predator for president that's your business but I will be doing my part to fight him and his unjust attacks against my country.

How refreshing to listen to an intelligent leader! i only take issue with him calling Trump a smart guy. Trump will never do anything but ridicule and insult Trudeau and Canada no matter what concessions Canada makes. The great thing is that Trump never had any kind of plan except to tariff the hell out of our former allies. Canada is very systematic about their tariffs against US. They are using a scalpel rather than a sledgehammer. Very smart against very stupid, childish, and undisciplined.

And seeing that he is insulting people and allies left and right I personally would love for other leaders inventing fitting names for him paying him back in kind. Someone came up with Mango Mussolini, I had until now favored Orange Utan, but the Mango version is appealing. And lets face it, Trump's cabinet of circus freaks also literally begs to be ridiculed.

I can't believe the people of the USA really elected him. Come on, you know Trump plays very dirty--I refuse to believe that the majority of voters are this brain dead. If our nation is this stupid then we deserve everything that is coming to us. PS: Trudeau, it's way too nice to tell Trump he's a smart guy--he's evil, not at all intelligent. As an American, I am embarrassed by our leadership. Presidents like Trudeau and Zelensky are men to look up to. They may not be perfect, but they remain strong and confident in the face of the tyranny of Trump and Putin. I live an hour from the Canadian border, and they have been nothing but kind and amazing every time I've ever visited. My support is with Canada, Mexico and Ukraine. It is a dark and embarrassing time to be an American.

As a US citizen who didn't vote for the president (Trump) we have who is corrupt, self- serving and would have gone to prison if he had not been voted as president. I too am appalled at what he and his minions have done already. \nI understand what Canada has to do to protect itself. I support Canada.I feel for the Canadian people. There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. Not this time. Nothing phony here; I've got to give credit to him for capturing the national mood pretty much perfectly with this speech. Good on him. \n\nAnd congratulations as well to Donald for pretty much handing the Liberals their best shot at a fourth term, too. What an absolute idiot. Normally I'd turn my nose up at having to vote Liberal, but I am so, so sick of the brand of empty populism Trump stands for that it looks like that's what I'm gonna be doing come election time.

Prime Minister Trudeau was more than polite and kind. As he knows, Trump is not intelligent, and a pathological liar, wannabe dictator, narcissistic fascist and poor businessman to boot. Trump has bullied, threatened and failed to pay thousands of tradesmen and contractors that have worked for him and wishes to hurt them further by extending and increasing tax cuts to individuals and institutions that have not paid their fair share of taxes and social security since the Reagan years. The allegations that Trump has laundered money for Russian oligarchs since his association with Deutsche Bank began are substantial and should be investigated.

I voted for Trump, but it's hard not to agree with Trudeau on this even though I find this guy to be extremely unpleasant. There's no reason to start trade wars all over the world and in particular with our neighbors. It's one thing to threaten tariffs and a very different thing to actually apply them. If you do it has to be accompanied by a lot of diplomacy so that the other country is not overreacting, but Trump has been super combative prompting our neighbors to respond in kind to save face. While past deals may not have been great for US, this is not the way to handle our differences. Billionaires like Trump and his friends will be fine, but the majority of ordinary folks in the US and Canada will suffer. Very dumb, indeed.
