I'd honestly prefer Indians over Middle Easterners. Hindus and Sikhs aren't proselytizers and generally have a much more mellow religious vibe, unlike Muslims. Plus, Indian food is the shit, I dig curry and samosas. The thing you really have to be careful of, as is the situation with any instance of mass migration, is to be aware if newcomers are taking advantage of Western social assistance programs, like the Somalis have done with the welfare system. They need to understand that to be welcomed as new Americans, they have to work. Indians have proven to be industrious through hotels and convenience shops. I'd prefer them to Middle Easterners or certain cultures of Africans. That all being said, they should also come to understand that, having moved to a modern country, there's very little point in having massive families with ten kids. No need to endlessly spawn more people to help with chores like water fetching when you have indoor plumbing. It's an unfortunate trend a lot of migrants have trouble getting over, the endless breeding that makes locals anxious that they'll become a minority in their own country in just a few generations.

Immigrants aren't the problem. The problem is when they don't integrate or adopt local customs, when they form ghettos. That's not immigration, it's invasion. If you choose to live in another nation, out of respect and gratitude to the nation that welcomed you, you must integrate, be part of, assimilate—without losing your roots, of course, but adapting. I am from a country of immigrants (Argentina). My ancestors were Spanish (Galician/Catalan), Italian, German-Jewish, and Polish, and they all assimilated, adopting Spanish-language and Argentine customs without losing their roots.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? Desk job search when I should be recovering and resting? Like, the suggestions are welcome, but be realistic. I'm in constant pain on heavy duty drugs to get by right now. No spouce. No parents or friends to leech off of. I feel utterly abandoned by our government.

As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Both countries benefited from having a good relationship and now the great US has no one willing to challenge Mr Trump on this idiotic move, America is alienating themselves from a lot of countries and regular Americans are the ones who are going to suffer from this fall-out, the rich won't be affected but regular working class folks your stress is going to get a whole lot worse and that's unfortunate. Hopefully US wises up sooner rather than later and stop blaming immigration for their problems it's poor governing and politicians that have us looking at each other as enemies rather than humans with the same struggle and issues. They have money to send annually overseas but none to improve the life of their citizens in need, that should tell you something. People that don't look like you aren't your enemies, people who try to harm you, undermine you are your enemies. People are just searching for a better life that's all, the most basic thing humans have in common, change the red tape a make things more structured and rid your country of the bad apples and welcome those willing to work, build and serve God and the country. I think it is important to note how much governments complain when they get taxed but how much they also complain they aren't taxing their people even more. Imagine if the people got this upset Everytime they were taxed. And if he wants to fight russia in wwiii he is welcome to go to russia and get it started rather than negotiate peace. Anyone who thinks this is okay & feel that these people are just looking for a better life by breaking a US law the second they put their feet on American soil, think of your children, grandchildren, and all future relatives. If you can't sympathize for your own, then appreciate the Americans who do love their children and grandchildren and future relatives! Canadians are the MOST chill and accepting welcoming peaceful ppl known Worldwide for it throughout history! BUT!!!! What I don't get is, why aren't Westerns getting the same applause when they immigrate to eastern countries? The understandng if you go or visit the opposite, the culture is not welcoming to Wesrterns. I have worked with and around Indians for 30 years. Many are my friends but most look for loopholes in the law, they avoid paying their taxes and they cheat. This is not a stereotype. If you have a huge home with multiple families then pay for your services. This is not a recent problem, it has being going on for years. Marks use to replace work boots if they work out too quickly, why not have the person with the largest feet pick them out, use them for 8 hours, pass them on to the next person and again. Then get a free pair. They aren't made to wear 16 to 24 hours per day. Our social services are to help people get on their feet and contribute, they are not free handouts. ICBC, UIC, WCB U O ME. Just try to fit in and follow the basic rules of society. I am welcoming to everyone until they wear out their welcome.

The U.S. feels the same way about people from India. You dont belong here in the west, aren't wanted here, aren't welcome here. I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. We have enough of our own assholes

Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

I'm a graduate of a top German university, and I've successfully navigated all the challenges, from learning German to securing a job, getting a driver's license, finding a good home, obtaining a permanent residence permit (including nightmares of dealing with the notorious Ausländerbehörde), and more and I am truly thankful to this country. Despite all this, I don't feel welcome. While I've met many kind people along the way, there’s no guarantee that you won’t encounter nasty ones like racist landlords or neighbors or a random service provider and the likelihood of that happening aren’t low. I'm now considering a second migration to the USA because I've come to realize that in Germany, you may never truly feel like you belong, and constantly feeling like an outsider sucks.

We aren’t anti immigrant. Canada has always been a friendly and peaceful country and we have always welcomed immigrants. It’s mass migration that we are opposed too because we don’t have the infrastructure or the money to take care of everybody. We have a housing crisis, a health care crisis and mass migration is making us poorer. We are also concerned about culture clashes which we are already starting to see. Canadians are kind and generous and we want up help others but we understand that if we destroy ourselves we won’t be able to help anyone ever again. \nDo NOT EVER label Canadians anti immigrant!! But things aren't that easy. \nThey aren't the native to the land of Israel, but they migrated there, thus, taking and capturing the lands of the native. Due to some reason or the another, things didn't sit well between them and now there's a war. That's a different thing to discuss. \n\nNow the refugee crisis, I agree with the reporter here. Since the Arab countries and the refugees share a common religion and how they boast about their harmony and brotherhood. It's only reasonable and justifiable for the Arab worlds to take the initiative to welcome the refugees by standing at the forefront of the line. But that certainly isn't the case. That's why they deflect such questions and turn it around on the asker to question their own values. A neat psychological trick of diversion to save themselves from addressing the real issues and questions. \n\nThe refugees then migrate to Europe since they accepted them, and then they try to establish their religious identity in those countries which doesn't even belong to them nor they are a native of that place. This disrupts the harmony on the people already residing there as natives and with time, they push the natives back enough till they're not a majority anymore and these Islamist refugees become a majority. Take the case of Britain as an example. This leads to feeling of resistance and then uproar among the natives. Which is already happening there and so is in France. Then those refugees will demand a separate land for themselves which they don't even deserve and belong to. And hence, it leads to civil crisis, and then, a war.\n\nNotice the pattern?

I don't blame Trudeau anymore. I blame Canadians. When I asked many in 2015 who.they were voting for , many said Trudeau - their reason was the legalization of marijuana. As someone from the US, here’s what I will say- you can find a small community or a community within a large city that will fit your needs if you look hard enough. HOWEVER, outside of that community, our larger government will never be the right fit for you, for the same reason you’ve “outgrown”Canada. “We” rarely invest in our own country and citizens, and always have “our” hands and money in other country’s affairs where they don’t belong and aren’t welcome. The government is unbelievably corrupt, out of touch, and is more focused on getting one side to hate the other side than actually making “no-brainer” steps that we all agree on to make things better for everyone. If you’re looking for a place to land for a little while I’d say a place with a Muslim community is fine, but long term your money won’t be going to places that aligns with your morals and values.

Canada is not perfect. Our health care is over burdened for one thing, and real estate is overpriced. But I don't know any of my fellow Canadians leaving en masse. Like, where would we go? The Scandinavian countries aren't exactly welcoming any of us with open arms... All countries have their problems. Canada is the partner you settle for because there aren't a lot of better options

We have enough people as is. The problem isnt that we aren’t welcoming, but that our govt thinks its a good thing to bring in millions of people with no place to live and drive up housing costs.

I hate this so much. I know it’s not these peoples fault that their countries aren’t helping them but America isn’t even helping its own people. Imagine how it feels to be from the US struggling and then these people come and somehow our country has the means to help them when they won’t not can’t won’t help their own. What other country do you know of where you can just decide to cross their boarder demand help and say you know what I’m just going to live here illegally now. And if we don’t help them they have all kinds of ways to sue the state and demand help even though they’re not even citizens. That’s what’s crazy to me. They make you do a bunch of stuff before you can travel and some countries won’t even let you visit let alone live there with or without a criminal record but these people can just walk right in. Any countries borders are important they are there for protection. Ours are not being protected which means the country is not protected. I just don’t see this turning out well for anybody, not them not us. There is a scene from the titanic that I’d like to relate this situation to. The scene where Roses mom is in the boat with that other lady who has new money the chubby one. She wanted to let people on the boat that were drowning around her, and dude wouldn’t let her. It wasn’t because he was being mean it was because if people started holding onto the boat and trying to get on the boat they would panic, and eventually everybody would swarm the boat. The boat would not have been able to hold the weight of everyone holding onto it. Well the same here there’s people who are already drowning, and other people from other countries want to come here, but all they’re gonna do is sink the ship, and then there will be no help for anybody and everyone will be doomed. No I have nothing against people coming here but not this way. I welcome anybody that wants to be here to work but not this way. America has its our own problems and the citizens pay taxes that are never used to help them. Instead the government gives money away to other countries like it’s nothing. I don’t mind helping anyone anywhere but when the money we pay the government doesn’t go to help it’s own citizens first idk that’s not right to me. We should be helping our own people first. Anyway this isn’t the right way to come I to America. This isn’t fair to the rest of us. We pick up the bill not the government. Help your own citizens America we need help too!!!!!!!

Canada is not the only county seeing this, and the US not the only country turning it's back on the benifits of immigration. You could have made the exact same video about Ireland vs the UK (except wages in Ireland are far high rather than lower than the UK) Here in Ireland we have long benefitted a great level of immigration fuelling rapid economic growth but since 2016 with Brexit, Trump ect. making it clear that immigrents aren't welcome in some other counrties we have seen a whole new type of immigrent from countries like Mexico where recent graduates seaking work experence in English pick Ireland rather than the US or UK as we have a better immigration system but also a culture which welcomes immigration as an endorcment of our country. Here the more you are proud of you country and culture the more you go out of your way to welcome immigrents who are the living embodyment of your belief that we are the greatest counrty in the world, not the welcome immigrents can expect from nationalists in the US or UK. The big winners here are countries like Canada & Ireland who have recognised that in the 21st Century it's not coal, iron or even oil that brings wealth but rather being able to attract the best & brightest talent in the world.

Again, look to the US. It’s nothing even close to what the make believe media caterwauls about. If white supremacists are behind every tree, where is the evidence? Surely, in 2023 has caught a cell phone video, right? Where are the videos? Show me the proof. There is plenty of footage of BLM destroying property and injuring, even murdering innocents. Nor can we claim to have eliminated racism. That takes time; it cannot be done by force.\n\nOur economy went from smokin hot to dumpster fire in a short span of time. Pre election, head hunters were shaking the trees to find job candidates.\n\nOur unemployment is up as are our taxes with the stomping out of the tax cuts. \n\nDespite the endless sloganeering about how the Trump tax cuts only benefited “rich” people, it’s quite the opposite.\n\nHigh earners lost their pet deductions and lower income taxpayers were quite pleasantly surprised when they did their returns. The cuts were targeted to preserve wealth for the middle and lower classes.\n\nI could go on for another 100 pages but you get the idea and I get crabby writing for free.\n\nI will leave you with the caution that it’s best if you doubt and question any data and any stats coming from our government. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? l bet that all of you Trump haters are missing him about now. Those who wasted their vote on Biden and Harris, this is what yous asked for. Yous made this possible. This is total madness. There's a Home Depot across the street from where I work. Migrants go there hoping to get chosen by people who need a few men for work. In a month, it went from about 20 men to about a good 150 men just loitering in the parking lot. The police were called. Three SUV'S pulled in, and over the loud speaker telling them to leave the premises. As they were exiting, I told them, welcome to America. This is totally insane and must be stopped. If we don't get Trump back in office, it's gonna only get worse, exponentially. Republicans must keep hold on to the House of representatives, get the senate back and Trump back in office. When his term in office is over, vote for the Republican front runner and keep grasp on both chambers. Right now we have WW3 starring us right in the face.
