I’m from Ontario and I’ve slowly watched my home town turn into new delhi since covid. Brampton has always been especially bad. If I wanted to feel like I was in India I would go to India, when I’m Canada I want to feel like I’m in Canada. A once great country being ruined.

I’m a first generation immigrant. The selection process for us was extremely hard. We were well educated professionals with university degrees, healthy (checked), had to provide funds allowing us to live for at least 6 months without any support from welfare organizations, no OHIP for 3 months. Why has this system been changed? How do all these people without education, money or skills coming here? Why our country is flooded with illegal immigrants? I love Canada dearly. It’s my home now. I’m a proud Canadian. And I’m very sed to watch my country decline like that. Shame on you Liberals.

As a multi-generational, born-and-raised Canadian citizen. Recently, I have been unemployed for 1 year and 2 months, which is the longest I have ever gone without a job in my entire life. My EI has run out, and during this stressful time, I have only had 4 actual interviews with real human beings. I am also a caregiver for both of my parents, and working remotely has been my profession for the last 7 years. Remote work allows me to both care for them and bring in a full-time income. Despite having 30 years of customer service experience, I find myself being overlooked. Many companies now use AI to prescreen resumes, so if your resume isn’t ATS-friendly, it often never gets seen by a human. Even if you make it past that stage, there are endless AI-driven assessments before you even have a chance to speak with someone. And when you finally do, it’s often yet another layer of screening rather than a real interview. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. The stress is overwhelming — I cry daily, and on top of everything, I also face health issues of my own, but I have no space to focus on them because survival takes priority. Canada today feels very different from the country I grew up in. Since the pandemic, things have become harder in every way — jobs, housing, and simply living. Even if I manage to secure work, rent alone now takes up nearly 75% of what I’d earn, not even including other basic bills. It’s disheartening to feel like no matter how hard I push, I can’t get ahead.

Um so tired of going to a store all immigrants working. Make a phone call it's answered by an immigrant. You can't understand them . I love on ccpd I don't get old age pension yet. I'm too old to get the child tax credit and I'm on a Canada pension disability. I get 713.00 a min to live on. Period. That's it. 😢😢😢 I struggle every day. I live in a seniors housing complex..so my rent is adjusted to fit my income. Thank God for housing I'd be homeless if it wasn't for them. 😢😢 But the immigrants have money. Have jobs. Drive new cars. Get free rent for a year. I waited 9.5 hours at the emergency😢😢 not the Indians they have Indian drs that work there for them. How in the hell is this ok. I ended up leaving the emergency I couldn't wait any longer. I sat there in pain all that time and two Indian families came in during that time and within 20 min at the most they were in and out. They even have an advertisement in the emergency room in their language with all the Indian drs working there. Wtf is going on. I'm tired of seeing these people. They are opening businesses here. Everything you see now is written in English, French and Indian. They call it our third language now. There are building going up that have only immigrants in them. A d I live in a small town but the city. Come on. They stopped saying the Lord's prayer in schools. They can't say Merry Christmas. Christmas concerts are called Holliday concerts now. Our kids don't know the national a them they stopped that. They don't know the Lord's prayer they stopped that. The schools are changed to not make other nationalities feel bad. They get their Holliday's off and our Holliday's off..why? We don't get their off. Yeah I'm just a plain white person who lived in Canada all my life. 64 years. I've never seen this in my days. Never. Everything is destroyed. This feels like India 😢😢😢. We have to stop this. They need to leave. They are not here because of war or danger for their lives. They are here to take the jobs, take over our culture and country. Now we have to be careful what we say or were called racist. I'm white I lived in the hood all my life. With black people. I have alot of black friends even family but this is so damn reducilous. Who are they a d why are they here. Canada doesn't take care of us any more. Or help us people who need it. We are homeless in the streets you don't see Indians homeless, hell no. So Carney step up a x fix what Trudeau ruined. Please. This is not the country I'm used to it's India. Not Canada. I have friends from Ukraine. Now they are brought here because of the war. I get it. But they have their own immigration dr. And they've been here 2.5 years if that and bought their own home a year ago. How is this possible? The first year Canada paid their rent for a year. I live on 713.00 a month. He's a month. The Liberals and their woke ideology are ruining Canada. Canada's aging population means we need immigration, but not when things like housing, jobs, and healthcare etc are already beyond maxed out. They've been bringing in too many 'refugees'-unvetted and likely a large portion of which may not actually be refugees, and then there's the ridiculously high number of 'temporary foreign workers' - the majority of these are people with values, hygiene and morals that are not acceptable or cohesive in our country. Unfortunately many are muslim and have beliefs in sharia law which dates back to the 1400's and is primitive and contrary to our Western values and morals. I am hoping Canada is not too far gone to save (although I have my doubts).

I’ve been waiting for my husbands marriage visa for 14 months freezing the legal visa processes for Colombians who are married to a U.S. disabled veteran citizen born and raised in the Midwest is wrong. I pray the President restarts processing legal visas for this married to U.S. citizens \nI am not able to walk well and my only caregiver is my husband so I’m stuck in colombia until my husbands visa is approved. Most people here hate President Petro he has ruined the country and now he is ruining it more we can’t speak out against him but my husband and his family do not support the President of colombia and a ton don’t believe he actually won the election. Colombia has always been a close ally I hope the CIA and Delta Force can fix things in Colombia returning to Uribe and strong U.S. allies. Canadians have been left behind by their own country in favour of Indians. Canada as we know it is done, it is in severe decline and the quality of life of all Canadians has suffered from this influx. At old age homes, Canadians are being passed up and made homeless in favour of new immigrants (all Indians), all low income jobs have been taken by Indians, locals youth can't get jobs. Indians are super racist towards white or latino people (like me), and they are not taking up Canadian customs and manners. Canada is being ruined by Indians. Canadians have been left behind. 1 in 6 people globally are indian. Their breeding is out of control, and they ALL want to come here for free healthcare, hand outs and fresh water. I mean, look what they've done to India, Canada is next. It is all ready in severe decline, and quality of life is at the lowest ever because of this.

Of course there should be rejections! You people move abroad drive up inflation and cost of living, where it is near impossible for the actual citizens of that country to adapt. Not only that, you come abroad on student visa's and find loopholes in systems to stay longer than you are required to and apply for permanent citizenship. Along with the rejections they need to start deporting people back to India also.

I'm an immigrant in Canada ( Vancouver) I've been told many times they are ruining the country and they should go home. The catch? I'm from the UK and they are always talking about Indians. Canada is beautiful and has lots of space but the government is forcing everyone into small cities. the Van is so full and expensive but drive out of the city and its Forrest for 1000 miles

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

As a Canadian Veteran I don't blame immigrants leaving the country. Personally I wish I could have retired in Germany, as the present government has totally ruined Canada, they've divided the country, they're taxing the average Canadian to homelessness. Food bank use has sky rocketed, Canada has become totally unaffordable to a LOT of Immigrants and actual Canadians. a very SAD state we live in.

We've had housing and healthcare crisis' for years now, yet we've actually been *increasing* the number of people we bring to the country every year.\nThere's an obvious intellectual disconnect here, yet politicians have been allowed to get away with it because anybody complaining about it would immediately be branded as a racist and have their life ruined.\nIt's time average citizens woke up and realized how badly they've been manipulated by any number of vested interests (politicians, developers, and the outrage industry to name a few) and presented a united front to the people who've been manipulating and exploiting them for decades.

As a Canadian born in Toronto and still living there. It was so much better in the 80s and 90s. The liberal government has ruined this country in the last 8 years. Don’t come. It’s too expensive. Immigrants come to cities especially Toronto. There is nothing but low minimum wage jobs for you. If you can line up a great paying job and housing before you move, then do it. If not you are going to struggle. My Uber drivers are doctors and engineers in their country. If you’re thinned skinned or have any anxiety forget it. Sorry for the blunt truth. I love living here but I’ve been lucky.
