The massive majority of Indians I've met in Canada have been absolutely kind. I have no ill will for the people. I do have ill will for our liberal government though. There's just too many people coming in at once. In 2025 we had 415,000 new permanent residences. 2024 it was 425,000. The liberal government said they were going to lower immigration and they didn't. They gutted the international student program but they kept the influx of permanent residences coming in because they're not done buying votes.

This isn't just Indian-specific, I have seen many African students do the same. Not all, but many of these international students from developing countries are just enrolling on degrees in western countries with no interest in studying or completing the degree, just to get entry into the country. They then either drop out after registering or first semester and or work illegally and send money back home. Meanwhile, colleges rapidly expanded their intake capacity—understandably so, since international students pay three to four times more in tuition. At the same time, due to inflationary pressures, the government allowed international students to work 40 hours per week instead of the previous 20-hour limit. This created a new, ready-to-work labor force in just a year or two, heavily impacting the retail sector. As a result, a large portion of retail jobs shifted toward a single ethnic group, while many Canadian citizens found themselves sidelined. One key factor was flexibility. Many immigrant communities—particularly Indian—were more willing to accept irregular hours and last-minute shifts, often adopting a more compliant, “yes sir” attitude that employers found appealing. However, I’m already beginning to notice changes in the retail landscape, likely due to the government finally tightening immigration rules. Going forward, we don’t need to close our doors—but we do need smarter immigration policies, with proper checks and balances, to ensure fairness and sustainability for everyone.

It saddens me for what this country has become. When I first came here, I saw the potential of what I could do in this country but that is not the case anymore. As a Filipino studying in Canada, it’s kind of frustrating that a certain group of international students if you know, you know is ruining the immigration system, and the blame ends up on those of us who came here legally. Some Filipinos who chose to study here have already gone back to the Philippines because life here is difficult and we see no future anymore in Canada. Others have moved to the United States to work as nurses or to Singapore instead, because we realize that the money we invested in paperwork and tuition fees is no longer worth it. Many students leaving Canada came without proper research, seeking only white-collar jobs but ending up at Tim Hortons. Nursing, constrution jobs, rulal jobs, has no issues here, and there’s no need to go back. Still, many Indian parents only want to say their child is an engineer or doctor, not a nurse or construction worker—despite these jobs being well-paid and in demand. Canada is more than just Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary—there are entire provinces most international students don’t even know exist. Move there early, not at the last minute! These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. The true problem is the greed of colleges - bringing the wrong kind of international students. Remember - the same India supplies the brightest brains to the USA. Like myself - thousands of high skill STEM field Indians are finding Canada to be the North American ghetto. We had high paying jobs and comfortable life in India - we moved for better value of our taxes and overall high quality of life but we are finding ourselves surrounded by same chaos and much worse healthcare. Canada is a law abiding country and no one can fool the system. It offers study visas with a condition of returning back to home after completing the study. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. As a current international student I can say I am happy for all this changes Canada is doing in the immigration system sadly it was taken advantage by too many indians and people from africa that came here with not the best intentions, I can confidently say if in my case is not possible to stay I will happily return to central america with good memories and good friendships and start working again. thats life

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!\nAlso, reading from comments, I notice that many here have NEVER alert their own country!!! Stop blaming foreigners if YOU, YOURSELF DID NOT even get the BALLS to dare studying in places different than yours (like Germany, France, Sweden, Japan…)!!!! Have been saying it for years to many international students from India lived in qc there were so many international students coming from Punjab to qc. They will go just about anywhere in Canada if it means it will get them a PR wow left qc and moved to Ottawa so far have not seen so many international students . Even as a Born Canadian my parent came from India back in the 80s\nDon’t want to live with Indians . That came from India in 2024 they are rude to girls on the bus have no shame . Ben living in Canada for 40+ years only know there has been a. Influx of migrants from India. Before the people come they at least new basic English and got usto the way of living the new once they don’t even know basic English and don’t have any common sense how they pass is beyond me . Blame TRUDEAU for opening the flood gates. Indians that have been living in Canada for years were finally getting respected and it all went down hill .

Here in Amherst Massachusetts USA, international India students were getting food from local food bank. Now the food bank stopped the privilege of the local US senior citizens instead. Due to the lack of resources after so many Indian students from UMass Amherst were taking the welfare. Does it happen in Canada as well?

This is very telling and confims what we already knew. Many students are NOT here to study. Most are not. The student visas, which the liberals hand out like candy on Halloween, are simply an easily abused way of getting residency. And the liberals fell for it all hook line and sinker, letting in millions of students who will never leave, and who will then bring in their families as part of the liberal unification. This was their plan all along. Let's face it, Canada does not have an enviable education system. Why would an Indian student pay all that money to come to Canada to go to school, when they can easily get the same education for almost nothing in india? Back door immigration tactics. My kid just started college. His classes were of course stuffed full of international students on the first day or two. Now they don't come at all. They didn't come to Canada to study.

So as an indian living in canada as an international student right now i would like to answer the few questions here which i guess the people in video aren’t able to so your 1 st question was that why would anyone like to come in this stolen land if there is lot of racism and injustice so as an i answer i would say the racism which you can see in comment section of this video itself about “deporting” is adressed in similar scenarios i have seen as yoi see the comment section there are very annoying comments such as “imagine the smell” so i would like to say that not everyone came here are workers in tim hartons and gas stations indians are also at the highest post in corporate sectors and indeed in restaurant businesses so to identify all of the indians same as many other is inappropriate , the people with no skillset and proper planning should be deported because no country needs labours or people without any kind of skill .the main demand of people protesting is to give them a chance as the people who came as international students have many debts to pay but neglecting that fact immigration control is responsibility of government not the immigrants .so at last i would say every problem has a solution don’t stick to the problem find the solution

yes canada is not racist and no one can make such generalization. however it is clear by many comments that racism clearly exists. international students are not just from india. they are from many countries. many come from nigeria also but rebel news or harrison and others would not say one word against anyone who is black. if all these people were from uk or europe then would this even be an issue to anyone? be honest. i am not taking sides. i been in canada for 40 years and my loyalty is to canada and for sure i would say there was lot of racism when i came in 1988. from grade 6 to 9 life was terrible here. things changed over time and my kids have not experienced racism for most of there life here but now i am seeing the bullies type that i faced are returning more and more especially online. rebel news and harrison (forgot his last name) are motivating such people. i had 2 racism incident in last few months. majority of indians are not trouble makers and are amongst the richest community in all of canada with the lowest crimes. many indian doctors, nurses, IT sector, engineers etc... now where does the problem lie. it is with poor immigration policies which lowered its standards. the requirements has to be raised higher and highly educated bunch is who we should bring in. many people from punjab india are involved in crimes and drugs and these are the people involved in the separatist movement and jagmeet and justin brought them in for votes. they need to go and so do those who are not loyal to canada. those of you who are racist i can give you a history lesson of the kkk or the crusaders but i know too many good people who i rather not group with you. in fact there is no need to go that route. you can never get rid of all blacks or indians out of canada. we have a history and we have every right to feel canadian as we obey and contribute to the economy and abide the law so f-off.

Why are you so focused on international students and temporary workers? If people from Mexico stop coming to work for Canadian farmers during harvest time, no one will want to work for such low wages as they do. This means farmers would have to pay more to local workers, which raises two questions: Can farmers afford to pay more to local workers, and are you prepared for food prices to rise even higher?\nSo why doesn't Rebel News focus on all the 'refugees' who enter Canada, don't work, and receive various types of financial support? Out of 100% international students, almost 70% are indian students. From 100% temporary foreign workers, almost 70% are indians. Why the fk we only bringing indians, there is no other fking country on planet? If it is sooo important to bring people, who not bring people from all over the world just like USA. \nGo travel from east coast to west coast and you will see how indian nepotism work, once an indian become a manager at any workplace, he will go to extreme lengths to hire only Indians. This is very well researched fact in USA and Europe and now in Canada. \nPut a full stop on international student visas program and temporary foreign worker program. Close all Canadian embassies in India who handing over visas to anyone and everyone who apply for a fkkking visa. Canada specially British Columbia is full of people from India and China. There are many economical sectors where everybody working is from India like private transport, taxis, 7 eleven, supermarkets and big retail stores. In the last 10 years the province became an Indian colony. Is this bad? Not sure because the economy is still dominated by big monopolies who have privileges from the Canadian government. Foreign Professionals still find restrictions to work or their diplomas never will be recognized. They are competing for low salaries and low income jobs that never will fill their expenses. Definitely the Indians. Mass migration, nobody can fucking drive, stealing all the jobs, exploiting our international student and temporary foreign worker visas to the point of slavery and a housing crisis where they're living 20-30 or more in the basement of a house. To say nothing of the internal hatred between Indian factions spilling out on our soil. Many do not belong or deserve to be here and have definitely overstayed their welcome.

I am a 4th generation Canadian (european decent).\nMy ancestors came here and didn't try to change it into a colony of where they came from, they adapted to the Canadian culture that was apparant at the time.\nThey blended in quite quickly while maintaining there home country culture at home or at community centers.\nI have welcomed immigration my entire life and still do. I have many friends who are 3rd generation Indians who speak the language and know the culture just as i do.\nThey do not try to turn Canada into india, and in turn they are accepted and respected by all.\nThe young indian students coming to Canada have been exploited in india by promoting a back door into PR status through the international student program and in Canada by employers who take advantage of their fear of deportation.\nThe blame lies on the recruiting in India, the post seconday system in Canada, the employers like Tim Hortons, uber, skip the dishes and door dash who put profits over living standards.\n The majority of the blame goes to the govt of Canada for turning a blind eye to something that everyone saw but didnt talk about for fear of being labeled a racist.\nReturn immigration to 500,000 per year including refugees, students seeking to stay and all other groups and you will see all will go back to how it was 10 years ago.\nPeace and love.

You hit the nail, right on the head. It's both our governments fault and Indian peoples fault. We brought in too many, all at once. I'm all for international students. I'm all for people from abroad, coming to our education system, because we have the one of best in the world, get an education, establish yourself here and you can make a great life out of it and you'd be accepted. Learn our polite and law-abiding culture, and you would be accepted. If you come over here with the expectation of becoming citizens, because our government markets it like that. The amount of times that I met Indians that don't care, are rude, entitled don't deserve to be here. On top of that, they bring in their third-world culture and thinks it's ok to behave like that. Yes, bring your culture. Bring your massive weddings, food, art and traditions. That's what makes canada such a great nation. But leave all the other things that you're trying to escape in India or avoid in India. That's why there is so much hate towards them.
