Watching the government I came to believe that they are absolutely unconcerned about the the results of there actions in many regards, but also that many of them are too incompetent to actually do the job. There have always been a few questionable people that are immigrants and refugees but it was in the early 2000s when you first started to see the foreign students and immigrants/refugees start to me more the "gimmegrant" type. They wanted sponsorship, benefits, housing, etc but didn't want to put in the work or participate and some were very dim also. It just got worse every year from 2006 I would say but with Trudeau in 2015 letting more in and telling them we have no culture spelled our doom but then you have ministers like Rempel who also like to play according to the wind. It is absolutely wild the difference in immigration now vs pre-2015. I had a brief marriage in my early 20’s to a man that was a Turkish PR and when we had our child in 2012 - back when Kenney was minister - we were unable to get a 3 week visitor visa approved for his mother and 17 year old sister to come to Halifax from Istanbul to meet the baby because they were considered at risk for not leaving. This is despite my former MiL providing documents showing she had property, a business and an ailing husband to return to. They appealed the decision once, the result was the same and they were then told they couldn’t re-apply for a certain length of time. We ended up taking the baby there when he was a few months old as it was so much easier. Now everything’s a free for all

The contrast between Jason Kenney's reign and the Liberal's current minister of immigration, Lisa Diab, could not be more stark. The minister was probably chosen specifically because she was inept and wouldn't know what was going on in her department; that reduces the likelihood that anyone would be turned away a while longer. As Lorrie said - just like my Political Science professor pointed out almost 50 years ago - immigrants largely vote for whoever was in power when they arrived in the country. A very large percentage of the people that they bring into the country under a Liberal government are likely to vote Liberal. That's a (practically) guaranteed stream of new Liberal voters to replace the old Liberal voters who have become disillusioned by the Liberal Party's actions. It has to stop. We need to vet EVERYONE who comes in and we shouldn't be giving them gold-plated health care until we've granted them refugee status or permanent residency and they should be told that up front so no one is shocked or feels cheated. If they know that and still come, they'll know what they're facing. If they choose not to come, they've made an informed decision.

Some of these individuals end up working illegally, taking jobs from Canadian youth and citizens, and adding pressure to the housing market. First of all, rather than blaming the hoards of Indian immigrants, why don't anyone ask questions to the people who allowed it? Why not ask the politicians who vetoed it? Why not ask the police who is not able to stop reckless drivers? Why not ask the minister's who allow hospitals to run under staffed? USA has a massive Indian diaspora. But they are mostly IT workers and CEOs and Doctors. So who was at mistake of bringing illiterate, uncouth Indians to Canada? After earning all the required merit, and paying as much taxes from my family that is equivalent to minimum wages of at least 4 people, it hurts me to see undeserving people taking benefits of the system, while we get the short end. No one seemed too concerned when Indian students brought in so much money and revived some dead economies. No one blamed thousands of Punjabi businesses bringing in dollars into the economy. India, with its 150 billion people has s#!to eaters and people who can buy out Canada. You only see the bad. Press the government to bring in good people. I was born in brampton, lived in cbridge then to b.c.! I will never go back! Heres a fun fact tho, the government opened the flood gate to immigration, red taped housing, started a catch and release program for repeat offenders, even violent ones!
