The larger issue you don’t seem to understand or convey in your video is the fact that this racist and ignorance-fuelled behaviour becoming so normalized without thinking about the deeper issues at hand trickles into society at large is it eventually seeps into racism in general towards other cultures (although it’s not right towards any culture or ethnicity). You know these people seem to be right... but truth is, THEY are the ones who avoid tougher jobs, choose mindless consumption and pets over having children and building real communities. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

There are two parts to this story and it's truth. There are people that came to Canada for a true life but there are many more that came to Canada because there is a system. Most people don't even know, unless you listen to the many that are in shelters and on social media, most have been told that Canada is a country which will pay you and cover all your housing. It's the code on how to take advantage of a countries blindness by abusing it's Government financial Immigration and Refugee programs. 1. Make a claim, any claim as it will take years before Canada figures out your claim is false. If all does not go well, have a baby on the land. This way you can't be deported and the Canadian government will give you more money because you have a child. Most don’t take those jobs, and even when they do, training takes two to three years. Our industries need people now, or parts of the economy will stall, and that affects all of us as Quebecers and Canadians. These workers are not asking for charity. Ending programs like the PEQ doesn’t punish “illegals” or “free riders”; it punishes people who are already integrated, working, and contributing to the society we all share. I’ve worked in the field for almost 20 years with youth and that money never arrived, nor has any serious attempt to fund programs occurred since the brutal Canadian pandemic policies massively exacerbated the youth mental health crisis. Perhaps one day someone will be able to trace how the 5 Billion promised was send off in provincial transfers that did not benefit any programs and likely only helped pay for all the upper management, because Canada’s healthcare, education and mental health care systems are absurdly top-heavy. I’m a white American recently retired at 63. There are millions here and in Canada that are / will be collecting Social Security or the Canadian Equivalent.
