Sikhs are great warriors who protected India from the Moh@mmedan invasions in history and they get put in the same basket with other types of immigrants these days, but they contribute greatly to the economy and do not sit around on benefits. You should check out Burnside Gorge in Victoria BC. I went to a Sikh Temple when i was homeless in Victoria for a short while and was welcomed with wholesome hearts and a plate of warm home cooked healthy vegetarian meal. No judgement, and no frowning upon for not being Sikh. Love is universal and i experienced that 1st hand. One time, i was inadvertently at a Engagement party in same Temple and sat near the bride and groom! What an honour i thought! What a Loving religion without any pressure to convert. Bless Them!

I feel like showing a homeless shelter and saying no indian is pretty bias. Ive been homeless before, and anytime you go to a sikh temple, its part of their religion to feed you. As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. You havent seen the nasty parts. Of course walking into temple with a camera you will hear advocation for peace. Growing up there you are taught in school that if you are white you are evil from the teachers and the brown students of which outnumber you 20/1 take that mileage and run with it. Many employers and landlords will not even give you a chance unless you are of their faith or from their home region in india or pakistan, and if you are black or white than you shouldnt even bother trying… aint gonna happen. There is a massive entitlement from the younger Sikhs who actively want to see the country become more closer to the punjab with Brampton being the new Lahore. Street violence rarely gets brought up anymore because it is so frequent so media only jumps on it if they got nothing else to use. The majority of gangs are in Bramalea south of Kennedy. This isnt just circumstances because “they have it so hard here boohoo”. The Tamel people that live in Brampton come from India and Sri Lanka. Many fled due to the tigers and because India has been trying to destroy their culture for a long while. You wont find Tamel who has lived in Canada more than a year in a gang, or with a thick as lard accent, or speaking their previous language in public. They are good people, very respectful.

Now think about how these Indians can even afford to buy these massive churches and temples. They make an average of like 2000 usd A YEAR IN INDIA. Even my small town in Ontario has multiple churches taken over by Indians. Hard to explain the anger when an old picture of your Grandfather you never met gets taken down and the church taken over in exhange for some Hindu bullshit. Sad to see the racist comments both in the video as well as in the comments. There is no doubt that Canada took too many immigrants in the past 5-7 years. The reasons are many - and the blame goes on both the provincial conservatives and federal liberals. The tuition freeze in Ontario caused colleges and universities to treat foreign students as an ATM to balance their budgets. Foreign enrollments skyrocketed, especially in colleges, with students paying top dollar for dubious degrees with no job prospects. This put strains on the job market, and the housing/rental market. As an educated Indian-American who now lives in Canada, it pains me to see my fellow countrymen dominating Uber, Uber Eats, Bicycle food delivery and Tim Hortons. No one uproots everything in their home country and comes all the way for this. Most of these people are here legally and they work really hard. A last word - leaving aside the Khalistan issue that has caused a wedge between Hindus and Sikhs - the Indian diaspora, especially the Sikh, are amazing in the amount of charitable work that they do. Their concept of seva is unmatched. No one goes hungry when there is a Gurdwara around, as there is always free nutritious food. Same is true for temples. Even a young poor Steve Jobs ate at Iskcon temples. Last point - while some of Canada's problems are because of excessive immigration, Canada would be nothing without immigrants. The population would decline, with a native fertility rate of under 1.4, and entitlement programs would be in deep trouble.

Sikh temples are open to everyone and serve hot meals to everyone including the homeless.
