Canada presents itself as a multicultural society, but the reality for many immigrants—especially South Asians—is different. Brampton and other cities have seen large Indian and Pakistani immigration waves due to Canada’s labor and education opportunities. But despite being invited under official immigration programs, these communities face systemic racism and unequal treatment.
📊 Employment Discrimination:
• A 2021 Statistics Canada report found that racialized Canadians earned 20% less on average than their white counterparts, even when education and experience were controlled.
• South Asian immigrants specifically face higher rates of credential discounting, where their foreign education and experience are undervalued.
📊 Hiring Bias:
• A University of Toronto study revealed that applicants with “ethnic” names were 40% less likely to receive a callback compared to those with Anglo-sounding names, even with identical résumés.
• Another survey showed that unemployment rates for racialized Canadians are consistently 1.5–2x higher than for white Canadians.
📊 Perceptions vs. Reality:
• While white Europeans continue to integrate without much resistance, South Asians are often stereotyped as “taking over” neighborhoods.
• Immigrants from India and Pakistan have one of the highest workforce participation rates in Canada, working in everything from Uber and trucking to tech and medicine—contributing directly to the economy.
Meanwhile, many first-generation South Asian immigrants don’t qualify for the refugee-style supports that others receive. Instead, they work long hours, often in precarious jobs, just to cover bills. The frustration often mistaken as an “attitude problem” comes from facing daily systemic barriers—being seen as “less than” despite contributing equally, if not more, to society.
The underlying issue is that the old colonial mindset persists: brown immigrants are not granted the same social standing as white Canadians. Equality on paper is not equality in practice.

Participating in a society that requires you to have a cell phone is why you live in a society that requires yo to have a cell phone. Let that sink in while it's about to get much, much worse on all fronts. This is exactly where ignorance, compliance and complacency leads. Enjoy it folks, you have earned it in stripes!

TRUMP IS KGB AGENT The The material “Trump is a KGB agent” is based on exclusive information received from a former high-ranking employee of the GRU of the USSR Ministry of Defense (Soviet intelligence). For the first time, shocking details of Donald Trump's years-long cooperation with the KGB and FSB are revealed. According to the insider, Russian intelligence services not only recruited him back in 1978, but also played a key role in winning the 2024 election. This data could be the basis for impeachment and even charges of treason.

\nAleksandr Sotnik (born 1968) is an independent journalist, publicist, analyst and writer. Since 2012, he has covered protest actions across Russia, and was one of the few reporters who documented events in the midst of political crises. In 2014, he founded the independent channel Sotnik-TV, where he published interviews with leading opposition figures, including Boris Nemtsov, Garry Kasparov and others.
\nAs an active participant in civil society, he took part in organizing the March Against Scoundrels (2013), the Peace March (2014) and other protest events. In 2018, due to threats of physical violence, he was forced to leave Russia with his family. First he lived in Lithuania, then moved to Slovakia, where he continues his activities as an independent journalist and publicist.
\nIn 2023, the Russian authorities added him to the Rosfinmonitoring register as an “extremist and terrorist”, which was yet another example of political pressure on independent journalists.
\nToday, Alexander Sotnik continues to work in exile and remains one of the most consistent independent political analysts and journalists exposing the Russian political system and its mechanisms of influen

There needs to be a hard ban on immigration from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh (aka those that most abuse the system). Send all those temporary workers and students back and exclude these countries from participating in the different streams. High skilled immigration from Europe is fine, but nobody needs third worlders ruining the economy and society. \n\nCanada can either take this step now or face a much, much more grim reality with far more drastic measures in by the end of this decade

Stop wasting so much money on sheltering dogs. The cost is enormous ($5,000 to $6,000 a year) per dog, and these dogs do not participate or contribute economically to society.

@AbhiandNiyu : I’m a Canadian citizen of Indian descent. I agree with the issues you have highlighted but I disagree with the narrative you have presented. Here are my reasons why - \n\n1. Canada has always been a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and a good governance oriented nation. In the recent decade, too much of woke, radical left wing ideology has penetrated into policy and public institutions that have led to Canada’s current day crisis. \n\n2. This country has always welcomed talented immigrants who are willing to integrate with the Canadian society, embrace its values, traditions and culture. However, in the last 10 years, too many refugees and reckless mass immigration has put an incredible pressure on the economy, infrastructure and social cohesion. \n\n3. The political leadership has allowed reckless mass immigration without caring to boost the economy/infrastructure to handle the volume and hence the sorry state of affairs. \n\n4. Too many immigration consultants of Indian origin engage in outright VISA frauds (yes, this is unfortunately true) leading to ppl coming in as a tourist and then seeking asylum or converting their visa into a student visa (55 year olds from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat coming here as students).\n\n5. A significant chunk of people coming from India (esp. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat) seeking a permanent residency in Canada are using student visas as a back door to claim eligibility for PR/citizenship. This is downright abusive and was never intended to be used like this. This has fueled a fake college diploma industry into Canada where “2-room” colleges have sprung up along the highways giving out fake diplomas and certifications for easy cash. Thus, the students, the immigration consultants and the fake diploma issuing colleges are all getting benefited from this scam. The internet is filled with such sting operations by Canadian officials exposing Indian students/immigration consultants. Do check them out. \n\n6. Unlike the past, the recent batch of immigrants in the last 3 years or so, make no effort at all to integrate into Canadian society and abuse the system, create law and order problem, drive recklessly, talk loudly in public spaces, litter everywhere, cross railway tracks like they do in India, steal liquor from stores, shamelessly collect food from food banks (as a way to save on groceries) that are meant for the elderly, disabled or those that are in utter poverty. It wasn’t like this ever before. In cities like Mississauga, Brampton and Surrey, the Khalistan movement + gangs involved in theft, drugs and human trafficking are from Punjab/Haryana and they have mushroomed here like crazy. A good 30-40% criminals in prison or on bail in these cities are of India ethnicity. \n\nIt is behaviours like these by Indians in the recent few years that has thoroughly infuriated native Canadians and now they hate the rest of us that have lived here peacefully and have been good citizens. There is a very serious, very real anti-immigrant (anti-Indian too) sentiment building up here. \n\n7. Lastly, the student protests that you have highlighted here is absolutely ridiculous! These students from India came to Canada under a student visa knowing fully well that they are supposed to go back after the completion of their studies, and now they are DEMANDING that they be issued extensions in work permits and be considered for PR. This is insane! This is because they never intended to return to India in the first place and were abusing the system as a back door entry. They are threatening to go on hunger strikes and what not. Legally, on a student visa, they are NOT allowed to participate in any sort of activism. \n\nNOBODY that comes to our country on a temporary visa (student, tourist etc.) has the right to dictate terms to us and demand that we change our immigration policies based on their preferences. No, that will not happen. \n\nCanada, like every country, has the sole right and privilege to decide who gets to become a permanent resident or a citizen based on our national priorities and strategic interests. I see nothing wrong in this principle.\n\nThanks for the video and I hope you will consider the other side of this argument as well. Canada alone is NOT at fault here. Immigrants and temporary visitors from India have some soul searching to do as well.

Portuguese. Atheist and i stand with Palestine ?? !!! What they are doing to the Palestinians is disgusting. therefore I applaud your decision because what they are doing to the Palestinians is truly a disgrace. Also I love all Muslims believe that modesty is a beautiful virtue and that society should stop having this obsession with sexualizing women in public. Also dont participate in drugs or álcool. So don't think we're so different just because I'm an atheist.

Wow! I’m Canadian born and just came across this. 100%. Totally agree. Great review. Things are definitely broken here, slowly deteriorating for the past 20 years, but especially escalated since Trudeau in 2015, and the BS and lies and propaganda since the start of COVID. This country is deteriorating as a direct consequence of our fascist government and broken institutions. Don’t know where this goes, but we are definitely a nation in decline, and the takeover of government by corporate interests and corrupt politics is the reason why. We do not live in a democracy. Don’t let anybody tell you we do. Everything is a lie, and people are figuring it out and no longer wish to participate in a society that has become hostile towards the middle class. The entire system is a pyramid scheme, and the Jenga blocks are crumbling.

There is much to do, places to see, books to read, walking, community centres, clubs, if we wish to do so. Can't remain stuck in the same routine. One can see from the different body language of the participants that the problems are personal. The attitudes are entirely different. One must participate in the society where one lives.

Clearly they need help. We should help them. That's what America is all about. This is all because of Bidens new border policy and illegal border crossings are down literally 70%. Amd you would think the Republicans and GOP would be praising him for doing something they wanted that Trump never did for them. Biden is a conservative, a republican a Democrat whatever you want to call these people. They all switch sides back n forth and want the sake things. For corporations and the 1%, the very people responsible for the destruction of America, the middle class, and not to mention the planet, to get all of our taxes, to get subsidiaries when they screw us like the banks, wall street and airlines etc. To help these corporations exploit us as much as they can, people are working for these companies and living in the street. To keep them from paying their fair share in taxes. Education, infrastructure, investment, they do none of it they do not participate in our democracy they are all participating in socialism for the rich and mass greed. We can't afford a roof over our heads. We can't afford healthcare. We can't afford school. The rich are taking all of our money and lining their pockets, the corporstions pockets, the military complex, the police depts. Republicans and corporate dems have been rerouting our tax money away from public education and towards private charter rich people schools for the last 30 years. Our country is in trouble. Rich people are playing monopoly ruining our economy and our society.

A lot of you are quite dense so here’s the definition of systemic racism:\n\nSystemic Racism includes the policies and practices entrenched in established institutions, which result in the exclusion or promotion of designated groups. It differs from overt discrimination in that no individual intent is necessary. (Toronto Mayor's Committee on Community and Race Relations. Race Relations: Myths and Facts)\n\nIt manifests itself in two ways:\n\ninstitutional racism: racial discrimination that derives from individuals carrying out the dictates of others who are prejudiced or of a prejudiced society\nstructural racism: inequalities rooted in the system-wide operation of a society that excludes substantial numbers of members of particular groups from significant participation in major social institutions. (Henry & Tator, 2006, p. 352)

To me, a democratic society is an equal and just society for each and every citizen. Freedom is where every citizen has all their civil rights in that democratic society. This means we should be valued and treated equally under every circumstance.\n\nI'm a Canadian and I can see we are not doing that by over-policing black and indigenous communities, by denying indigenous communities the ability to participate in Canadian society with their own culture in tact and by our biases about people with other ethnicities, like Asians and East and West Indians.\n\nWe may not be bad as the US, but we are still doing these things. It needs to be addressed and rectified if we ever want to be a truly self-aware, equal and just democratic society for every citizen.\n\nRegardless of the political party we support, I can't fathom why every citizen would not want an equal and just democratic society for themselves and their fellow citizens, as it improves everyone's lives.

this is pure horse shit, while there is people afraid of muslims the west has created a society that prides itself on tolerance and inclusion. The full niqab is basically a wall to society saying I don't want to communicate or participate as eye contact and facial expressions determine how we interact with each other. If you feel the need to dress in a full veil I would suggest moving to a islamic society that would make you feel included.
