Millionaires and billionaires and the politicians they’ve bought have spent the last 50 years fighting to destroy wages, unions, educational system, acces to healthcare and fought to avoid taxes for themselves leaving ordinary Americans with the bill. Trump is continuing this but more openly and loudly than ever before for all to see. What we in the rest of the western world see as basic rights and essential services is in America seen as “communism” \n\nThe consequences of this is that Americans are suffering and causing a huge demand for drugs both prescription and illegal drugs.\n\nTariffing Mexico and Canada makes no f sense when the peoblem is America and Americans. For many years USA and Mexico have worked together to combat drugs and cartels, there is no need to put tariffs on them.\n\nDrugs will continue to enter USA as long as there is a demand for it, including Musk and Trump jr. The only ones who can fix this is America itself.

On every corner is a homeless Citizen or a Veteran sleeping on the sidewalk unable to get any sort of assistance, housing is scarce and rent is high, while many working Americans can barely afford to put food on the table, keep the lights on and pay rent?? \nThis is NOT ok. We need to ramp up the border security. What makes them think they can avoid deportation long term?? What makes them think they deserve assistance while our own people are suffering and dying on the streets? Why should we care about immigrants when we can't help our own people??! Make it make sense!! I didn't agree to give illegals a free ride while working my a$$ off while the threat of homelessness or extreme poverty hanging over my head every effing day!!!

All the advise doesn’t make sense or has no research. Just follow the rule to the full stop and avoid shortcut or assuming things by yourself to have best chance. Stop making people feel victim always. This is not a good messaging.

AHHHH, now it all makes sense, if you are LOYAL to TRump and his agenda of hate you may avoid paying the tariffs. So, this is how this dictator is going to sway companies to kiss his ring and bend to his whims. I guess it is all about loyalty and doing the biding of this new American dictator. 5:25 this is absolutely true, and I say this as someone born and raised in Canada. It is even worse than you say, and it affects Canadians too. Many organizations have a culture of meek compliance to rules, which may not make sense. Most Canadians try to avoid standing out, and standing out is likely to be seen by your boss and peers as threatening. No one wants to rock the boat.\n\nThese rules and expectations may differ substantially according to the politics and beliefs of the employer. For instance, overtime may be highly encouraged in one place and discouraged in another. But the veneer of handling things in a highly compliant and pleasant way is always there, with a hidden expectation that you will speak positively about the biases of your boss or owner. In other words, the common factor is that bosses often have fragile egos or are afraid of anything that challenges the status quo. This harms critical thinkers and innovators who often leave to the US or China, but also immigrants who have even larger barriers to working within the status quo. \n\nEven among better bosses I have had, I notice this tendency towards intense discomfort with ideas that come from outside of their direct experience. Though at least with my current boss and one other I had in the past, there is an intellectual curiosity and empathy which helps them gradually open up to unfamiliar things (and they're just awesome people in general). But I still notice this bias sometimes. It's definitely cultural.

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.
