Trump isn’t a smart man. But he is a man baby who loves to be told he’s a smart man, which is why other leaders do it. \n\nI do wonder what the end game is. Trump wants to make Canada the 51st state (to get the natural resources and despoil the country by drilling for oil). Does he really imagine that this is going to endear Canadians to America. Is he planning to deteriorate the relationship so that eventually he invades Canada? Because the tariffs make absolutely no sense for the reasons Trump has given.

If you live in the US it's time to move. If you're in Canada or Europe you need to boycott the holy living hell out if US imports, US compaines, and any company that does business in the US. Starve the US of money and plummet the economy. The only effective nonviolent resistance that works is to prevent the coporations from making a profit. \n\nAt least JT had the sense to separate the Smerican people from its current leadership. That's rare in history. \n\nI SUPPORT CANADA AND UKRAINE. FUCK TRUMP.

Being an American, I am EMBARRASED by what Trump has done. This is NOT how you treat a friend like Canada, and a partner in this world. What does someone's genitals have to do with their ability to serve? Both men & women are able to serve. Many people have commented here to change India and make it livable instead of dreaming of Canada but let me tell you, ideally it is very welcoming and patriotic thought to make India top class country in the world in all respect but keeping current politicians standards, democratic model and caste & religion discrimination, it is next to impossible to implement changes. China has done despite massive population because it has hidden dictatorship and there are no inside traitors. Many entities within and outside India are doing their level best to break and shake India. \n\nI am from Canada, I just arrived in India on vacation. It disturbed me a lot to see trash and garbage everywhere ( especially on Kurla-Andheri-Mankhurd) on the streets from Mumbai airport, the town planning, landscape, traffic, road quality, people's civic sense (and many more things to mention) are in worst shape which is not a sign of good quality life. Especially when you enjoy lavish, luxurious, clean hygienic, sustematic life style abroad, you naturally tend tobe fascinated with that country, no matter how much patriotic you're. Somewhere people make the problem, somewhere government or governing bodies and somewhere both. \nForeign visitors must be experiencing what I experienced. That is why we Indians are always become victims of hate and criticism abroad.

I wonder how the Indigenous people felt when waves the Europeans came over and started making themselves at home. Then it’s suddenly a 'crisis.' Classic.\n\nAnd what exactly are we preserving here? Maple syrup and hockey? Because, newsflash, multiculturalism is Canadian culture now. It’s the same 'values' that were conveniently forgotten when Indigenous communities were being erased. But sure, let’s act like a few more immigrants are going to dismantle the grand, rich, centuries-old tapestry of... Tim Hortons and politeness.\n\nHonestly, if the presence of more people of color is that threatening to 'Canadian values,' maybe those values were never that strong to begin with.

So lot of Indians live in close proximity, well duh obviously. This is bound to happen in any country.\n\nHomeless are whites and causing crime as stated in the video.\n\nI agree the problem with 15 Indians living in one house is an issue, and I think relevant authorities should be complained to.\n\nBut throughout this video only issue I saw the White folk having was there are too many Indians in Brampton, this is no different than lots of Chinese in Birtish Columbia, there is little Russia in Goa(India), French in Quebec.\n\nAlso the demographic separate Indian, Punjabi, Sikh and Hindu which does not really make sense, would one is a country, others are religion.\n\nThis particular video showed nothin that is not known, or can be considered something unusual, but the host kept saying it is strange....strange how?

Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? If you cannot sustain yourself dont add your burden to the country. We (Canadian Residence) paid heavy taxes from our sweat to cover ur burden and debt. Put yourseld in our position and you know what I mean.\n\nCanadian Goverment is too nice compare to other western country go and take a look at the US, Australia, British, New Zeland and Europe Nation. If u cannot sustain yourself do you think those gov at given country will give a care abt you? Get the right people for the right jobs, if you MUST bring in immigrants!\nThere are plenty of Canadian people who can do low wage jobs. Besides, low wage jobs are a good opportunity for youngsters to learn good skills while earning some money on the side to save for college. They are NOT, and I repeat, NOT for immigrants who have other skills to bring to the Canadian market.\n\nThe IT sector needs a serious overhaul. You need people to fill up roles in corporate jobs to boost production, because Canada is seriously behind in technology. Healthcare needs serious people too. There is no point in bringing promising doctors and healthcare practitioners who can improve healthcare services and the number of capable doctors here, but have them working low wage jobs instead to make ends meet. That is unfair to those people and unfair to Canadians who need good medical services in lieu of the taxes that they pay. Canadian Experience is a joke and a very cheap trick played by the incumbent government to swindle good, deserving people of their hard-earned money.\n\nEnough of bringing in refugees into Canada and destroying the economy by giving them handfuls of money paid by Canadians themselves. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and whoever gets these handouts needs to understand that they need to return the favour with hard work and a sense of contribution towards the country that gave them hope.\n\nI am an Indian, but I still say that Canada should come first. If a government cannot fend for its people, and give them priority, then that government is a failure.

The whole idea of a food desert is so alien to me. I have never been in a town where you could not buy actual groceries. And it is not just that fast food is everywhere, but the servings are just stupid! \nI agree with the flight costs, but it makes sense when you have only 40 million people in the second biggest country on earth, 90% of which is wilderness. There are not enough people to share the cost. \nI love that our politics is boring. The result is that government can actually govern.

My main issue with our country allowing so many immigrants into the country is that many of these immigrants from India seem to come to buy businesses up and sponsor their families and friends to live in Canada and work in their businesses which makes it extremely difficult to get basic minimum wage jobs. \nI’ve seen it first hand in my small town, I worked at a Tim Horton’s that was owned by Canadian owners but was sold halfway through my employment to an Indian family and slowly but surely all of the original Canadian workers, including the many young workers (high schoolers) we had employed were pushed out of the business, laid off, given less shifts in favour of giving the Indian employees more shifts. \nI had applied to become manager when my manager quit, I had worked there for a year and instead of promoting me (Because it just would have made sense because I know the job and live very close) An indian man was hired from a city 30 minutes away who’s never worked at a Tim Horton’s and barely spoke English. He was totally sexist to all the young female workers and treated them horribly. He never spoke English on the floor when our staff started to hire more Indian workers. \nIt’s becoming insane.

few points are absolutely wrong-\nCanada provides one time post graduation work permit(PGWP) only once after completion of study..They never promised to any international students to give PR or Citizenship but Canada gives you time to establish your comprehensive ranking score in order to get the permanent residency but these students who are protesting could not fit in that criteria, Thats why they are looking for the extension in their work permits which makes no sense actually.A fun fact a lot students can't talk in English here bcuz they hardly study or learn some skill. Your language proficiency is one of the main criteria to get jobs and later to get your PR here.\nCanada didnt promise that. So please do not share this wrong information that Canada is deporting people just for no reason. \nA lot of froudulent cases came in limelight, For example some students produced fake documents and chose non recognized college for studies, Hence they are being deported. \nCanada,UK and Germany.. they all have line ups for patients becsuse its free and people go to emergency for small small things. Homeless people and druggies are everywhere.. You go to New york,LA,London or Frankfurt. Job market is screwed in all over the world right now. If you guys come here to study business management then Do not work in a restra for 80+ hours a week whereas you are allowed only 20 Hrs a week.\nDeportation just not came in one day.. I am watching this video from Canada and I have 4 words for you - “DO NOT COME HERE!!!” Everything that was mentioned in the video is absolutely true. Canada is facing many problems, unaffordable housing, broken healthcare systems, homeless people, drugs. I am always scared to walk in downtown at night when I’m returning from work. And the worst part is, you cannot even defend yourself here if a homeless person is attacking you. If you do that you will be prosecuted saying that why did you touch that homeless guy and it is a violation of human rights, which is stupid. So does that mean that we should just let a random homeless person kill us?? How does that make sense?? My friend who was having an asthma attack had to sit in the emergency room for 8 hours. If something would have happened, who would be responsible? And the list just goes on. And what does the Canadian prime minister do about that….? Let a guy be a girl and a girls become a guy? What does that even mean??? I have nothing against the LGBTQ people. That’s your life do whatever you want, I don’t care. But there are so many other issues going on in the country and the government is focusing on allowing people to change their genders !! \nAnd the worst part is that a portion of the tax we pay from our hard earned money goes to the homeless people. And what do they do? Buy drugs and start attacking random people. I really feel sorry for this country and the people of this country. \nI always respected my county, India but now I really feel that the sense of security, belongingness, our culture is amazing !!! \nIf anyone is planning to come to Canada for studies, please think again. Just stumbled on your video . \nI would add that at what phase of life you make such big move also matters a lot. \nIt would have been different story if you would have moved 10 yrs back when you were at start of your career and not with 1 to 1.5Cr salary and when your kids where still in elementary school and not grown up. \nMoving anywhere is a huge life changing event and to different country, it is a huge cultural shock, so it not easy for anyone for initial 1-2 yrs.\nIt was lot different 2 decades back and now it doesn’t make any sense to even move out of India. Applying for Canada PR was a thing of past now, not lucrative anymore for skilled couple.Just my 2 cents on this topic.

No way most of Gen Z will ever be able to own homes, if the are lucky they will get one passed down to them, shame you have to wait for a family member to DIE to own your own home :( Benchmark prices for home in Victoria 1.2 million, Vancouver 1.18 million, Kelowna 1 million. Very few people can afford a 6k+ a month mortgage. Shame on our govts that allowed this to happen.\n3 I am tired of the degradation of the family unit. Western morals have gone for crap, crime is up and people are happy to threaten each other. \n4 I am tired of the lack of available health care. I was born in Toronto and bought a house in Ajax in 2013 (before the housing market exploded). \n\nEverything you said in your video is correct. As a new comer, I know it’s hard to advance your career, make friends or buy property. \nMy son is 23 and will probably never be able to own a home and he wants to leave Canada for a better quality of life. \nRaising taxes, high rent, the failing healthcare system, and poor quality of life (plus the cold weather) are all factors that should make immigrants NOT want to come here. \n\nAs far as making friends, you hit the nail on the head. People in Canada are polite, but not friendly. I find it the same here in Toronto. You’re most likely to build friendships with people you work or go to school with. I feel we lack the sense of “community” and don’t put in as much effort to maintain friendships. \nI blame the weather for this.

I fully understand your point of view and you are untitled to your opinions. \nI understand you are asking for ideas which countries you would like to move to that will give you peace , wealth and happiness. I move from one country to another every five years because of the nature of my job. As a practising Muslim with children here are some of the countries I’ve lived in which you guys should consider :\n- Turkey is very developed and your family will have to make less adjustments in terms of quality of life. If you can speak Turkish then you are good to go.\n-Morocco has a very rich culture and the economy is relatively stable.\n- Malaysia is beautiful and has great community sense. Very helpful people. The main adjustment will be with the eastern culture which is very conservative. The cuisine is also very unique.\n- Qatar and UAE are both similar in the sense that finding jobs won’t be a problem and lots of people understand and speak english. Also these two countries are developed and the \n education standards are the highest I have seen in countries following sharia. Also these countries are less strict than Saudi Arabia which is my native country. I really hope you two \n aren’t considering it. Your girls will not grow up happy in Saudi. Trust a women who has done it. I love my religion but inshallah no child should go through that environment because her \n parents were attracted to the holy land.\n-Lastly this is a rather outlier in this list but you should consider India. There are mosques everywhere in almost every city and even the Hindus fondly wake up to the azaan. Most \ninclusive non-Muslim country I have lived in. My children loved it. We lived in one of the many Muslim communities near a mosque in a city called Hyderabad which was ruled by a Muslims for hundreds of years. Even though they have their own languages nearly everyone speaks english. The schools are great. The police create spaces for Muslims to worship on the roads so that traffic doesn’t disturb them. Very inclusive and the city itself is beautifully developed. The job market is great and it is a very affordable place to raise a family.\n\nI hope you guys check these places out. I’ve only listed the countries which I felt were the best options but I’ve lived in almost all the countries with a sizeable Muslim population. Best wishes to you folks from the Sayyid family. Maybe it's just because of the news, but really, the school shootings are TOP of mind for me. Like, how is that even possible, to have that many crazy people who want to murder children, and not only that, but those crazy people have access to guns? \nI don't say anything to my American cousins, as I realize that they have ties, they've married Americans, they've built a life, and there's no sense me freaking out about things that they won't change, and insulting their choices.\nBut... I was SHOCKED that even after they started having children, they still didn't move back to Canada. They can do it, they have dual citizenship! \n???\nIt's like sending your kids to school on a boat in a river full of crocodiles. It's not guaranteed that nothing bad will happen to them, and it's hard to let them go, but you trust and pray and hope for the best.\nAnd then you see your cousin's kids sailing down that same river sitting on a log with their feet dangling into the water! It's horrifying, even if they assure you that usually the crocs don't come to this side of the river, and mostly they're not hungry in the morning anyway. It seems like reckless disregard. And for what? So the parents can make more money? It's not worth it in my opinion.

US - the problem is when there are obvious problems you have a system that allows big money into politics, which allows for lobbying, which in my opinion is legal bribery. The idea that politicians had ( or have ) NRA ratings for supporting openly guns and not implementing the most logical of common sense gun control. \nHealthcare - in Canada, not having the healthcare tied to your employer actually makes Canadians a more free country. There are a lot of Canadians in the arts ( musicians, painters etc. ) that have the freedom to pursue any employment that wish, and not worry about the health benefits. \nIt kind of surprises me that you were surprised about school shootings. From what we see, that is not happening all in big cities. Sandy Hook was the worst. To think that Congress didn't do a thing after that, is reason enough not to want to move there.\nAnd Donald Trump has soured my wanting to ever even go there on holiday. Unbelievable that after two years, so many Americans believe anything he says, when he claims that he won in 2020 with not even a ounce of evidence to the contrary. There is not even a theory that would explain his claims. The mistrust of Americans with each other stems from people like Trump and Fox news. \nI think as you said - Healthcare alone is enough for almost any Canadian. I don't know anyone that owns a gun, I don't know of anyone who has gone bankrupt for being sick, and I never worry my granddaughter going to school and being shot.

There is a selection bias on the forum the question was asked.\nA large proportion of recent immigrants to Canada would prefer the USA if it were an option.\nIf you are in a specialized field or at the top of your field, the USA makes more sense.\nLikewise if you are wealthy the USA is better for you.\n\nI live on a Disability pension and would be dead or homeless in the USA.

I was born in Canada, and lived to see the change from traditional values to this mess...\n\n1 - homelessness\nthe rents and other things went up, and welfare does nt match it. even minimum wage does nt cover it in some cases, \nit s a given that you will finish on the sidewalk, and that does that many will turn to drinking and drugs.\nit will not last long however, as winter comes and there are nt enough shelters, so they conveniently die.\nyou could invest billions, it will not help if you have bad management, you have to dig deeper...\n\n2 - racism\nit s a bit of a backward country in that sense, many rural areas were very late in receiving immigrants,\nso they re not used to see diversity, unlike the US lets say, so there are parts of the country where acceptation\nwill be low, they will discriminate and gossip for sure, but it s more backward as it is racism.\nin time, when they get to know you, it goes away, and they realise how dumb they were.\nI live in Quebec, and you can blame feminism for that, they see Muslims as a symbol of patriarchy and feel threatened.\n\n3 - medical\nit s been like that since about the 90s, again, bad management made the system crash for some reason.\nI admit that I m not sure of what happened exactly there, not enough doctors for sure.\nmaybe it has to do with income, as they can get more revenue in the US or elsewhere.\nI suspect that hospitals s management - administration is too slow and crowded, but I m no expert.\n\n4 - technology\nyeah, well, it s expensive here, cell contracts, internet, probably because of distance, but I suspect\nthat we re being cheated a little too, and since again, we re a bit backward, we re used to the old methods.\nwe re not fast to adopt new trends or fashion either, it s very traditional here mostly.\n\n5 - taxes\nwe have federal and provincial taxes, plus purchase taxes, so yeah, we pay a lot of them.\nexactly, it can vary from 30 - 60% for sure, overtime does nt pay that much, 2 nd jobs can build you a big bill.\nyou re better to save on expenses than trying to earn more, you have to be cheap.\n\n6 - Canadian experience\nI m born here, but I heard of many stories about immigrants s credentials not fitting the local standards.\nin some cases, it sounds ridiculous, and closed minded, not accepting outside concepts and ideas.\nI did nt know about speaking English, but I sure know about French in Quebec...\nhere, it s very insecure about the language, almost paranoid, without speaking French, you will have many troubles.\nagain, it s mostly about bad management, and rules and mentality that self sabotage.\n\n7 - housing\nlike mentioned before, the real estate in general has jumped tremendously.\nI m no financier expert, but an overview of economy tells me that banks compete between countries,\nand they will recourse on artificially inflating the value of real estate, and that plainly kills people.\nthis is the main reason of the homelessness you see on the streets.\nyeah, the soundproofing is quite poor, and some very old buildings can cost a lot in heating.\n\n8 - well, crime is on the rise, and citizens supporting the law and public safety is not very encouraged by the system in place.\nin some way, you re better to shut up than supporting the police... this has to change!\n\n9 - the social services are biased, and impose their vision if you want help.\n\n10 - the mental health policy is too wide, and makes you ill instead of helping.\n\n11 - the pharmaceutical companies are too influencing, and make people sick instead of helping.\n\n12 - the food regulation is lacking, it is not strict enough, allowing chemicals, gmo, and radiation.\n\n13 - feminism is almost radical, especially in Quebec, they segregate genders, and dividing us, it makes the country weak.\n\notherwise, you pretty much covered it well.\n\ngood work sissses.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

It’s so tiring to be continually reminded that we are not part of the team. We are other. We are black. Everything we do is a representation of the black/African community. Literally, I’m scared to talk back or act accordingly to a situation lear people decide my actions reflect on the whole entire black population of the world. Like? I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

I understand this fully as I came to Uk as a child 60 yrs ago. .. I feel the same way today. These western countries lack sense of community and neighbourhood... and spend most of their lives in loneliness thus leading to depression. 14 years ago my father passed away and I brought his body back to India .. as he loved coming and spending his retirement years back home in India.\nI miss him so much and also have started coming to india every year since his death.I’m also retired now. \nI have come to understand how people from our countries look forward to emigrate to make a better living and earn money without realising the consequences that this will have on our lives. \nThank you so much for this video.?

You don’t realize this stuff until you’ve lived elsewhere. After living in colombia and spending Eid in Morroco with a family… I may have more monetarily, but it will make up for the wealth that cannot be measured with a bank account that so many other countries and cultures have. \n\nAlso… the US wasn’t always like this. What you describe as family/neighborhood life in Africa I had as a child in salem oregon. Now 40, I asked my parents one day if all the parents with children had left the neighborhood. They said “no, all the kids stay inside anymore.“\n\nI asked them if this was because of the pandemic. They told me “it was just as bad before the pandemic. Parents just don’t let their children out of their houses anymore, or take them off to a million preplanned activities.”\n\nLastly, this is very much a white North American experience. I have noticed that if you don’t fitness demographic, these rules and norms don’t apply nearly as much. The sense of community within minority groups, even those that have been here for many generations, is significantly tighter than their white counterparts.

In others, not. \nAlways, people say this, and people say that, and the truth is somewhere in the middle.\nHowever, please explore this topic before digging down and making up your minds based on this interview. \nPlease do a smidgen of more research, hear more than this opinion and do a lot more listening? \nI know you all are going through a very difficult time.\nAs a Canadian, most of us are very comfortable with what our government is doing. \nWe are not afraid of 'others'. \nWe are not afraid of Americans.\nBut this reporting choice, and your choice to jump on, and believe this interview as true.....\nThat does give me pause for concern.
